Chapter 1230: Chapter 1229: Rescue Sage Lv, Hidden Secrets (Second Update)
“This matter is very complicated,” said the Child Servant.
“You don’t need to explain. I only need to know—why do you want to release the Evil Demon King?” Xu Zii asked.
“I’m afraid it’s none of your concern,” the Child Servant replied with a frown.
“The Evil Demon King’s ergence will kill everyone in the Battlefield of Ultimate Confrontation. You tell —does this concern ?” Xu Zii retorted.
“And what if I tell you? You can’t change anything,” the Child Servant said indifferently.
“If you won’t talk, then stay here,” Xu Zii stepped forward, slashing Tyrant Shadow directly down.
Yet, the Child Servant didn’t dodge or evade, allowing Tyrant Shadow to strike his body directly. His form disintegrated, vanishing into nothingness.
“A clone,” Xu Zii frowned lightly.
He imdiately dashed out of the Evil Demon Tower, looking toward the sky. Above him, the entire firmant had turned pitch-black.
Malicious Qi surged incessantly, vast and boundless. All the streams of Malicious Qi converged toward a single point—the center of the Hell Sea.
Ji Jiuning stood to the side, and beside her, the Ghost Crown Prince was kneeling devoutly on the ground.
“The Evil Demon King protects my Sin Prison, and I bow as his servant!”
At this mont, he appeared just like a devoted believer, incessantly bowing and prostrating.
As he bowed, the Malicious Qi around him grew heavier and heavier until, ultimately, he dissolved entirely into the void alongside the Malicious Qi.
“The Evil Demon King protects , protects !”
He laughed maniacally, his voice filled with mania.
Ultimately, he was utterly annihilated in the void.
“This guy’s gone mad,” Ji Jiuning spoke.
“Good riddance—one less opponent,” Xu Zii chuckled.
“Let’s go!”
“Where to?” Ji Jiuning quickly asked.
“Hell Sea,” Xu Zii made a dismissive gesture.
Among the three major academies and five great sects who entered, most had already perished. Apart from Xu Zii and Ji Jiuning, only three remained.
Emperor Fei Lian, Wang Nu, and Mi Tian the Little Monk.
The two ran rapidly toward the direction of Hell Sea; with the map in hand, their efforts beca much easier.
“Ahead of Hell Sea lies a Protection River,” Ji Jiuning said, studying the map while hurrying forward.
“That Protection River seems to encircle Hell Sea,” Xu Zii remarked.
“It’s more like a kind of sealing chanism.”
“We can wait by the Protection River,” Ji Jiuning suggested.
“The early bird gets shot. If the Evil Demon King breaks free, it’s better to avoid his edge.
Let’s see how the other three handle it.”
Xu Zii said nothing, though deep down he had a nagging sense that this Evil Demon King had co for him.
Though he had no evidence, the feeling within was undeniable.
This Evil Demon King would undoubtedly be trouble.
“No need for Hell Sea anymore,” Xu Zii suddenly said, halfway through the journey.
“Huh? Why?” Ji Jiuning asked, puzzled.
“Back to Lone City,” Xu Zii abruptly shifted direction, soaring through the air.
Now that he knew the situation, the robed man and Child Servant were likely foes, not allies. There was no need to eradicate them all.
Perhaps rescuing Sage Lv might reveal many truths.
The two hurried toward Lone City, but as they neared its outskirts, they suddenly felt imnse suppression from the Heaven Shaking Holy Power.
Before Lone City, countless city residents stood resolutely, forming an unyielding barrier akin to an iron wall.
Holy Power surged from each person, stronger than ever before—this ti, they were serious.
“You stay here. Your strength isn’t sufficient to enter,” Xu Zii said.
“Be careful,” Ji Jiuning replied.
Xu Zii nodded. Looking ahead, he knew that with his current power, rushing in head-on would not only be difficult but also waste valuable ti.
“Crimson Blade Bull Demon!” Xu Zii called.
“Old Bull is here,” ca a boisterous response.
“Clear the path ahead,” Xu Zii ordered loudly.
As soon as his words fell, a formidable wave of Great Saint’s Might swept through. Alongside it ca earth-shaking roars of a bull amidst the yellow sands of the vast heavens.
Through the haze and dust, an ancient bull demon rose towering and colossal, its crimson eyes glowing.
Its coarse hair seed as sturdy as steel rods, its horns crackled with lightning, and each step it took caused the heavens and earth to tremble.
“Anyone daring to block the Master shall die.”
Crimson Blade Bull Demon’s voice bood. It charged fearlessly forward, and the city residents imbued with Great Saint’s Might appeared fragile before it, as if re paper.
Weak and vulnerable, unable to withstand its force.
“Suppression!” ca the united roar of thousands of city residents, their voices—and their gathered might—rushing toward the enemy.
Crimson Blade Bull Demon felt his body grow heavy, the ground beneath him cracked, and one of his legs sank deep into the earth.
“Having Great Saint’s Might alone isn’t enough.”,
You’re nothing but hollow threats,” Crimson Blade Bull Demon sneered coldly.
White mist sprayed from his nostrils as he relentlessly struck the void. The fabric of reality shattered, and his roars pierced the heavens.
“Move aside!” Crimson Blade Bull Demon roared once more.
All the city residents were overturned and sent flying. The Great Saint’s Might instantly dissipated.
Xu Zii strode forward, hands clasped behind his back, stepping into the city.
From afar, Ji Jiuning watched this unfold, her body trembling slightly.
“A… Great Saint? How is this possible?
Just who is this man?”
Xu Zii arrived once again before the grand hall. This ti, no one dared to obstruct his entry.
“Seems you’re far smarter than I’d imagined,” Sage Lv’s voice greeted him as soon as he crossed the threshold.
“You knew,” Xu Zii frowned.
“Indeed, but I couldn’t tell you before,” Sage Lv replied.
“Besides, if you couldn’t overco this, then you wouldn’t be worthy of my trust.”
Without speaking further, Xu Zii brandished his blade, striking ruthlessly toward the chains that restrained Sage Lv.
Two resounding “clang” sounds echoed, as Tyrant Shadow severed the chains. Though the chains retaliated and resisted fiercely, they couldn’t match the sharpness of Tyrant Shadow.
The chains shattered, and Sage Lv collapsed to the ground, freed at last.
Xu Zii moved forward to assist him but was stopped as Sage Lv raised his hand.
“No need. I can stand by myself,” Sage Lv said through gritted teeth, forcing himself up.
The sight of the once-mighty Great Saint in such a condition was truly heart-wrenching.
“Let’s cut to the chase—I can’t hold on much longer,” Sage Lv said abruptly.
“The chains you severed may have imprisoned , but they also supplied with enough strength to endure.”
“What is the Evil Demon King?” Xu Zii asked directly.
“Millions of years ago, White Emperor followed the Empress’s orders, seeking to initiate the Final Battle and angering Cang Tian in the process. In retaliation, Cang Tian unleashed the demonic calamity known as Evil Demon Calamity,” Sage Lv explained.
“The original purpose of the demon was to entangle White Emperor, preventing him from joining the Final Battle.
But ultimately, White Emperor dominated the Eight Desolates and sealed the demons within this Battlefield of Ultimate Confrontation.”
“Why didn’t White Emperor kill them?” Xu Zii probed.
“The demons were sent down by Cang Tian. White Emperor couldn’t kill them,” Sage Lv said, shaking his head.
“White Emperor sought suppression, but the demons’ Malice Qi was overwhelmingly potent, leading to the story of how Sage Lv was struck down to eternally guard Hell Sea.”
Hearing Sage Lv’s words, Xu Zii fell silent for a brief mont.
