"Feng Yu’s Record?!"

Without wasting a single second, he imdiately tapped on that item, and the next second, a screen opened up in front of Yi Chen’s eyes.

======== Feng Yu’s Record ========

Contains a summary of Feng Yu’s Journey since the separation.

Singly Use Item. Disappears after reading.

Accept? (Yes / No)

===============================

’I can know about her state?!’ A bright expression imdiately appeared on Yi Chen’s face as his finger almost pressed on the ’yes’ button.

It was through sheer willpower that he managed to stop himself.

"I almost made a blunder..." Yi Chen couldn’t help but shake his head while sighing in relief.

Although he had already decided on what he was going to choose, there was still sothing he needed to find out.

’Just what exactly is this Qi Bank?’

With this thought in mind, Yi Chen tapped on the second item, and its description soon opened up.

========= Qi Bank ==========

Stores Qi, which can be used when required.

Capacity: 0 / 1000 (Upgradable)

Requires Spirit Stones to recharge

===========================

’Pretty neat...’ Yi Chen couldn’t help but think to himself as his eyes went through the description.

With this item’s help, he would be able to use the Myriad Fire Swords for a few more minutes and Bursting Fire Steps for a hundred tis without pause.

What was even better was the option that it was upgradable, which ant that its Qi Capacity could be increased with each upgrade.

A rueful smile ford on Yi Chen’s face the next instant, along with a mocking snort.

"I wonder when I’ll be able to get my hands on it again..."

The next second, he pulled away the panel and tinkered with the other system panels.

Ding! Item Selected!

Feng Yu’s Record has been successfully transferred to the System Items section of the cultivation arsenal...

Opening up the cultivation arsenal, Yi Chen tapped on Feng Yu’s Record the next instant.

[Read? (Yes / No)]

’Yes.’

The next second, a screen filled with texts opened up in front of his eyes.

====== Feng Yu’s Record ======

Eight Months Ago

Departs for the True Realm. Faced so issues in the spatial rift. Destination changed. Arrived at a different celestial world, which was several light-years away from her celestial world.

For the next two months, she travelled with Jing Ru towards the Blazing Yang Star. Easily dealt with difficulties which were t along the way.

Six Months Ago

Reached the Blazing Yang Star. Found the Eternal Phoenix Sect in a precarious position.

Besieged by tens of other sects, the Eternal Phoenix Sect, which had lost its Five Great Elders, was on the verge of being taken over.

Just when its protection formation was about to give in. She arrived and, like a goddess of war, slayed thousands of cultivators that day.

The tales of her actions circulated throughout the Blazing Yang Star and made her return known to the inhabitants.

After dealing with the crisis, she began stabilising the sect.

Three Months Ago

Formally appointed Elder Jing Ru as the second in command.

With all her responsibilities taken care of, she went for closed-door cultivation, leaving Elder Jing Ru to take care of everything in her absence.

Attempted to pry open the Godly Qi Points.

Two Months Ago

Failed to understand the proper sequencing. She gave up on opening the Godly Qi Points. Blas her incompetence.

One Month Ago

Fully focused on gaining back her previous cultivation level. Fears that if she fails to subdue the demons, you would be affected.

END

==========================

The more Yi Chen read through the record, the deeper the frown on his face beca.

"So, she’s unable to open them..."

He muttered with regret apparent on his face.

"If only I knew about the proper breathing pattern sequencing and the location at the ti of our separation..."

Yi Chen muttered to himself in regret as he finally read the last line of the record.

’She’s still worried about ...’ A prickly sensation was felt by him when he read those lines, as a lancholic smile ford on his face.

The very next instant, the panel disappeared, and Yi Chen was left staring aimlessly at the wall in front of him.

A feeling of emptiness began welling up in his heart as he softly said to himself.

"Yu’er...I wonder how long it will take for us to be together again."

As if the system decided to take pity on him, the very next instant, a loud ringing sound echoed in his mind.

Ding! New Mission has been prepared!

========================

Yi Chen’s aimless eyes regained their focus in a flash as an ocean of hope began surging in his heart.

"I-I can talk to her? I can really talk to her...."

Feng Yu’s lodious voice, which had the ability to strike every single chord in his heart, played out in his mind.

It was only a mory, but it still managed to evoke such a deep feeling of longing in his heart that it accelerated Yi Chen’s desire to imdiately finish this mission.

However, there was a problem. He had no idea what this Silver Cloud Tournant was.

’From the na, it’s obviously related to the Silver Cloud Kingdom...but as for the other details, I’ve got no clue,’

Yi Chen thought to himself.

He still vividly rembered the ti which he spent with Feng Yu on that particular afternoon beside that srising pond.

"Now that I think about it, I’ve never taken her out on an outing after that..." Yi Chen chuckled in a disparaging manner.

’I’ll ask Qin Yao about it during dinner,’ Yi Chen thought to himself as he spent the rest of his ti just thinking about the monts he had spent together with Feng Yu and began giggling and smiling to himself like a madman soon after.

Dinner Ti.

"Silver Cloud Tournant?" Qin Yao responded with a frown on his forehead and then, the next mont, shook his head, "No, I’ve never heard about it before...maybe Master would know sothing,"

"Yes, I’ll ask him tomo- Ah, yes, he won’t be back for a week..." Yi Chen responded in realisation.

His mind was a bit cluttered because of everything that happened in the last few hours, and hence, he had forgotten about Elder Lei’s week-long departure.

’Looks like I’ll have to ask soone else then. Maybe Zhou i would know about it,’ he thought to himself.

The conversation on the dinner table soon shifted to tomorrow’s tournant.

"Uhm, when Sister Ning was explaining about it, I wasn’t able to fully understand how our match tomorrow would be conducted." Yi Chen said all of a sudden and asked, "Can you repeat it again for ?"

"Haha, it was the sa with last year when I went to spectate. The Ascension matches, one which allows the clans to rise from either Minor to Major or from Major to Noble status, follow quite a different way of matches, unlike the regular knockout ones."

Qin Yao explained after a short laugh.

"As you know, in the tournant, each clan can participate with cultivators from First to the Ninth Level of ridian Refinent Stage.

And since the maximum spot for each level is eight, a maximum of 72 cultivators can take part from each clan.

However, it’s only a few noble clans who have the ability to fill all the spots. We don’t, and it’s the sa with all the minor clans as well.

Our clan is participating with a total of 39 cultivators.

First Level to the Fourth all have eight cultivators each. Five cultivators, including Brother Chen, are there in the Fifth Level and lastly, two cultivators are there in the Sixth Level, which include Sister Ning and the newly joined cultivator.

Is this clear to Brother Chen?"

Qin Yao asked.

"Yes, I’ve more trouble understanding how the challenging sects would be attacking us," Yi Chen nodded and stated the area where he was lacking understanding.

"Got it," Qin Yao nodded in understanding, and the next mont reached for a container of chopsticks, which was placed in the middle of the table.

A couple of minutes later, several chopsticks were neatly arranged on the table in rows on both the left and right sides of the table.

On one side, there were six rows of chopsticks placed.

From the first to the fourth row, each had eight chopsticks in it. The fifth row had five chopsticks, and the sixth row had only two chopsticks.

On the other side, there was a similar pattern, but there was no sixth row, and the fifth row also had only three chopsticks in it.

"On the left-hand side is our clan’s formation, and on the other side is the formation of one of the minor clans that would be attacking us.

The numbers might change a little tomorrow since I’m just assuming right now, but that’s still enough to make Brother Chen understand," Qin Yao said.

Pointing his finger at each of the six rows, he said the next mont, "These rows represent our cultivators in six different levels.

In the tournant, they are represented by three different terminologies.

First to Third Level cultivators are called the walls.

Fourth and Fifth-Level cultivators are called the Pillars.

Lastly, Sixth to Ninth Level cultivators are called the Peak.

The challenging clan has to penetrate the walls and the pillars before finally claiming the peak, i.e. defeating all the peak experts. Only then will the defending clan lose its status as a major clan.

If they are unable to do so, then the defending clan would continue to retain their status as a Major Clan."

"Ah, I understand," Yi Chen nodded the next mont. Thanks to the visual representation provided by Qin Yao, understanding it had beco a lot easier for him.

However, there were still a few doubts in his mind, which he began asking one after the other the next instant.

"Then doesn’t it seem that we are in a favourable position as the minor clans have to penetrate rows of our cultivators from the First level to the Fifth before they could finally challenge our Sixth Level experts,"

Hearing Yi Chen’s words, Qin Yao chuckled with a difficult expression, "If only it were that easy..."
