BAM!

He Peng felt his whole mind freeze the next second, but the stinging pain from his bleeding and disfigured mouth roused it awake.

What appeared in front of his eyes the next instant was a blurred world which was revolving continuously. It was obvious that Yi Chen’s punch just now had brought him very close to losing consciousness.

It was only because of his strong physique that he had managed to hold on till now...much to his own detrint.

Seeing He Peng’s slackened jaws, which no longer resembled the shape of a human’s, a sense of satisfaction rose in Yi Chen’s heart.

However, that wasn’t enough. There was still sothing he needed to get back for.

"I-I adm-" He Peng tried to admit defeat in a pained and incomprehensible voice. However, before he could fully do so, Yi Chen got a hold of his neck and prevented him from doing so.

"I’ve paid you back for this year," Yi Chen stated as the next instant his eyes narrowed, "Now, it’s ti to get back at you for what you did to Miss Ning last year."

He clearly rembered what Feng Ning had told him yesterday on the carriage.

Now that he had the opportunity to directly get back at him, it was obvious that he was going to do exactly that.

"MMMMM! HMMMM!" He Peng struggled to voice his mind while glancing pleadingly towards the Imperial Envoy.

However, with no coherent words reaching him, the Imperial Envoy continued to observe from his spot, ready to stop the fight if he found that He Peng’s life was at risk.

Hearing those pleas laced with fear and desperation, a wave of satisfaction rose in Yi Chen’s heart as he began doing exactly what he had done to Feng Ning last year.

SLAP!

The sharp sound resounded in the entire arena as He Peng’s head jerked to one side, and with that, a few of his already loose teeth flew out. However, that didn’t evoke any trace of sympathy in Yi Chen’s heart, and his hand prepared for the next slap without allowing He Peng a breather.

SLAP!

Another batch of bloodied teeth flew out.

SLAP!

Again...

And again...

.

.

.

It was only when the audience had grown numb to He Peng’s occasional cries and He Peng had lost his last set of teeth that Yi Chen finally stopped.

Looking at the disfigured face and the eyes which were on the brink of losing consciousness, Yi Chen finally threw him out of the Fighting Stage, as flogging a dead horse won’t make it any deader.

Slam!

"1-0!"

The mont He Peng’s body slamd on the ground, the Imperial Envoy declared for everyone to hear and continued.

"Feng Clan wins the first of the three matches!"

The mont the Imperial envoy’s voice resounded in the arena, the mbers of the Feng Clan stood up in unison and cheered to their heart’s content.

They all fully rembered the scene that took place last year, and it was apparent that they had a lot of grievances with the He Clan.

Therefore, being able to witness Yi Chen’s actions this ti was everything they could have ever dreamt of. It was like them being able to witness justice being served right in front of their eyes.

They relished the sight until the end and now that the match was over, celebrated it with utmost joy.

It was because of this reason that while the obligatory claps and cheers from the other audience were audible, the applause from the Feng Clan’s side distinctly stood out and completely overwheld everyone else.

The Imperial Envoy nodded at this response, and while the managent staff was carrying He Peng’s body out of the stage, he approached Yi Chen and asked.

"Would you like to challenge the next opponent from He Clan’s side or would you like to switch places with one of your teammates?"

’Although I’ve achieved what I was aiming for, I don’t want to leave things half finished...’ Yi Chen mused to himself, and the next instant said with a firm nod.

"I will fight."

"Alright," The Imperial Envoy nodded in confirmation and delivered it to the audience.

"The Challenger has decided to keep fighting!"

Hearing this, the excitent among the audience rose. They were all filled with curiosity and anticipation about what Yi Chen was going to show them next.

He was only a cultivator in the Fifth ridian Refinent Stage but had already defeated one at the Sixth ridian Refinent Stage.

There have been similar precedents in the past, but those who achieved such feats were all cultivators from the high-ranked noble clans.

In decades, there has never been anyone from the major clans to achieve such a remarkable feat, and thus everyone’s curiosity was roused to its utmost!

"Choose your opponent!"

The Imperial Envoy declared and waited for Yi Chen to choose from the remaining two Sixth ridian Refinent Stage cultivators from the He Clan.

"You," pointing towards He Sun, Yi Chen stated the next instant, "Co up or admit defeat if you’re too scared."

Hearing those words, He Sun soon stood up from his seat with clenched jaws and made his way to the fighting stage. Confusion and uncertainty were apparent on his face as he did so.

’Brother Peng is much stronger than in both the comprehension of his martial techniques and also the vastness of his Qi pool...so how was he able to defeat him...’

With these thoughts going around in his head, He Sun finally stepped onto the fighting stage.

However, instead of looking towards his opponent, He Sun turned towards the Imperial Envoy and stated.

"Elder, I believe the other party is clearly hiding his true cultivation realm. I request you to confirm it publicly whether that is the case or not!"

As He Sun said those words, he perford a ninety-degree bow to add more weight to his request.

"Hmm," The Imperial Envoy glanced at He Sun’s figure for a couple of seconds before turning towards Yi Chen and asking, "Is what he is stating the truth?"

To this question, Yi Chen just shrugged his shoulders and said, "It’s not. I’m still a Fifth ridian Refinent Stage Cultivator."

"Alright, I’ll be confirming it then," the Imperial Envoy stated, and the next instant, a ntal wave made its way towards Yi Chen and entered his body.

Yi Chen was already familiar with this probing feeling and didn’t try to obstruct it.

A second later, the Imperial Envoy retracted the ntal energy wave and stated, "I’ve confird. It’s clear that he’s not hiding his cultivation realm and is truly in the Fifth ridian Refinent Stage. Prepare for the match."

"This..." He Sun couldn’t help but look towards Yi Chen in disbelief.

Before confirmation by the Imperial Envoy, he was almost certain that Yi Chen was hiding his true realm.

It was because what he had just witnessed was sothing which only those talented disciples from the noble clans could do, and placing Yi Chen in the sa line as those geniuses was sothing he couldn’t process at all.

However, the Imperial Envoy’s confirmation completely overturned that conclusion. At the sa ti, another thought entered his mind as a trace of relief welled up in He Sun’s heart.

’I never thought that he would be this talented...but now that it’s confird that he’s not a Sixth ridian Refinent Stage cultivator, I can be more relieved.

He must have used a significant portion of his Qi in those advanced martial techniques he had used to break through Brother Peng’s defences. I’m even willing to bet that he’s on the verge of emptying his Qi pool.

With just a little Qi remaining, it’s obvious that he’s only bluffing to be confident right now to make admit defeat....too bad you brat, you’re still too wet behind your ears!’

With a grin on his face, He Sun took his fighting stance. Confident about his victory.

Little did he know that it wasn’t the martial techniques but plain brute strength that had made Yi Chen’s victory possible.

"Fight!"

Without delaying any longer, the Imperial Envoy gave them the signal to fight.
