Buzz Buzz

After seeing Elder Jing board the carriage, Yi Chen turned around towards the separate horse that had been arranged for him to ride.

Buzz Buzz

A frown appeared on Yi Chen’s face because of the constant buzzing near his ear. With a flick of his hand, the bee that was buzzing near his ear was knocked sowhere else.

With that done, he made his way towards the jet-black horse, which was currently held by its reins by a guard.

"Uhm...it doesn’t bite, right?" He couldn’t help but ask with a gulp. It was his first ti getting this close to a horse, and second thoughts have started to co to his mind.

If not for the fact that it would be impolite to board the sa carriage as Elder Jing, he would have imdiately followed after her.

Sensing Yi Chen’s fear, the guard said with understanding, "Young Master, I’ve personally picked the calst horse in our stable, so you really don’t need to worry. Besides, I’ll be the one at the reins, so you can rest assured,"

Sensing the confidence in the guard’s words, Yi Chen finally felt a bit relieved and nodded.

"Alright, Young Master, here’s how to climb it." The guard placed his leg on the stirrup, pushed himself up, and mounted the horse the very next mont. Much to Yi Chen’s satisfaction, the horse was standing the whole ti.

’Well, that looks easy,’ Yi Chen thought to himself and under the guard’s gesture, raised his leg and attempted to do the sa, not noticing the subtle buzz sound coming from nearby.

NEHHHH!

Just when he had placed his leg on the stirrup and was about to push himself up, the horse went batshit crazy and started snapping its hind legs backwards.

The angry bee had decided to sting its butt.

"Agh! My back!" Yi Chen moaned from pain as he fell hard on the ground. However, he was quick on his feet and imdiately distanced himself from the horse.

’This crazy bastard...didn’t he say that it was friendly? I almost got killed there, you know?’ Yi Chen couldn’t help but curse as he saw the guard trying his best to calm the horse down.

Help soon arrived from the nearby guards, and the horse was back to normal.

"I’m sorry, Young Master! I’ll imdiately go and bring a new horse," The guard bowed and was about to rush back to the stable when Yi Chen waved his hand in annoyance.

"No need, I’ll just sit beside the coachman," he said with a snort and turned towards the carriage. The space there was a little cramped, but he had no other option but to endure.

’Like hell I’m going to test my luck again!’ With this thought, he was making his way towards the coachman when Elder Jing’s words stopped him.

"Xiao Chen, why don’t you co inside the carriage instead? There’s plenty of space in here," Elder Jing suggested with a smile.

The earlier debacle had been nothing but amusing for her, and now, seeing Yi Chen’s situation, she couldn’t help but give this suggestion.

Since Elder Jing had herself made the suggestion, Yi Chen saw no reason to refuse and nodded with a bow, "Thank you, Elder Jing."

When he boarded the carriage, the coachman whipped the horses, and they were finally on the move.

Sitting inside the sa carriage as Elder Jing, Yi Chen couldn’t help but feel nervous now. A part of him wanted to initiate a conversation with her in an attempt to gain her favour, while another part of him was scared to offend her by mistake.

Luckily, it was Elder Jing who was the first to break the silence.

"Earlier, you ntioned that you’ve just started cultivation, so it’s understandable that you have almost no spiritual Qi, but why is your physique so weak as well? Do you not take care of yourself properly?" She asked.

Yi Chen had left a good impression on her, so she found it odd for a responsible person like him not to take care of his health properly. Therefore, she couldn’t help but ask him this question.

"Well, that..."

Hearing this question, Yi Chen couldn’t help but scratch the back of his head embarrassingly and said, "Before being chosen as Yu’er’s groom, I was just a normal sweeper who cleaned the town’s streets. The pay at that ti wasn’t enough for to have nutritious als, so my physique suffered as a result."

The state of this body’s physique was sothing Yi Chen was really insecure about, as it was really very inferior and couldn’t even be compared to his original body from Earth. Therefore, his answer sounded more like an explanation as he continued.

"However, right now, since I’m not limited by that option, I’ve started training my physique seriously. In a few months, the results would definitely start showing."

"That’s good, that’s good," Elder Jing nodded, seeing Yi Chen’s positive attitude and belief. Wanting to help him a little, she suddenly suggested, "How about I answer so of the queries which you have towards cultivation until we reach our destination?"

Hearing her words, Yi Chen’s eyes brightened in surprise, and the next mont he said with gratitude, "I would be imnsely grateful if you would do that."

Elder Jing was pleased with his response and gestured for him to ask the questions.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Yi Chen made sure to ask as many things as possible, starting from the very minute details about cultivation and then expanding the scope of his questions.

Ti passed, and the exchange continued without an issue.

By the ti they were about to arrive at the destination, Yi Chen was a lot more familiar with not only the [Elentary Transformation Stage] but also the subsequent stages that followed after it.

He had even asked her about whether there were more than 360 Qi points or not, just for the sake of it, only to beco elated after hearing her response.

’Even Elder Jing thinks that there are only 360 Qi points in the body...so doesn’t that an that the power and knowledge which my system possesses transcends those of the higher realms?!’

He thought in excitent as the carriage soon ca to a halt. They had arrived.
