Inside Feng Yu’s Quarter.

Feng Yu was currently sitting on a stool next to her bed. Her eyes were closed, and her hand was firmly fixed on top of Yi Chen’s chest as her fiery red Qi gently circulated throughout his body.

If one looked carefully, one would realise that Yi Chen’s hands, which were wounded earlier from tightly gripping the porcelain shard, were completely healed.

Healing would not be the right word. His hands looked as if they were never wounded in the first place. It was the sa with his internal wounds.

A while later, she released a short breath and opened her eyes. Yi Chen was completely healed.

"Chen’er..." she muttered delicately while stroking his sleeping face with her gentle hands.

There was love apparent in her eyes, but along with it, there was a hint of sadness. Sadness was tornting her heart at the mont.

Various thoughts regarding her present situation flooded her mind, but instead of filtering through them, she completely ignored them.

She only wanted to give all her attention to the person lying in front of her because this might be the last ti she would ever see him.

"Mhmm..."

A tired groan escaped Yi Chen’s throat the next mont as his eyes slowly opened up, followed by a few short blinks.

Feng Yu’s unveiled face beca clearer and clearer to him as his eyes gained their focus. His mory also started coming back to him.

"You’re awake." Feng Yu smiled like a beautiful flower when she saw Yi Chen opening his eyes.

However, instead of a reply, what she received was a tight hug, which made her lean on his chest.

"Yu’er! You’re alright! You’re really alright! Do you know how scared I was back then, seeing you in that state! I’m so glad...."

As he said those words, Yi Chen’s hold around her shoulders tightened as if fearing that he would lose her again if he didn’t.

"Yes, I’m alright...I wasn’t hurt..." Feng Yu answered as a wave of warmth spread throughout her body. All of her being wanted this mont to last for eternity...but that wasn’t possible.

A while later, when they separated, Yi Chen asked after pushing his upper body up the bed, "Just what exactly was that red fire-like thing. Are you really fine?"

As he said that, his hand reached for her forehead and carefully stroked a particular spot.

It was the point where that thing had pierced. He was both confused and relieved that there was not even a small mark in that spot.

Feng Yu pursed her lips, hearing the affection and care in his voice and answered, "Yes, I’m fine...it was just a fire essence...and was laced with certain mories from my previous life,"

She revealed. Not wanting to hide anything from him.

’Fire essence?...’ Yi Chen’s eyebrows furrowed when he heard the first part of her sentence, and he couldn’t help but jump up in surprise after hearing her completely.

"mories from a previous life?! What do you an?" Yi Chen asked with surprise.

It was also at this mont that he properly glanced at the status panel, which was floating above her head.

Noticing the new changes, Yi Chen couldn’t help but frown as a sense of foreboding rose in his heart.

"I’m the Phoenix Empress...to be precise, her next reincarnation. That mory fragnt provided with all the details I needed to start anew...and moreover," Feng Yu paused and brought her palm forward.

The next mont, a huge pillar of fla rose from her hand and touched the ceiling. One would expect that the room would start burning, but it didn’t.

The fla was completely under her control, so much so that even Yi Chen, who was just a few centitres away, could only sense a subtle warmth from the flas.

’This...’ his eyes widened in surprise and amazent at the scene.

The next mont, Feng Yu closed her palm, and the huge pillar of fla morphed into the shape of a small flying phoenix and, after encircling the two of them a couple of tis, broke into red Qi particles and disappeared.

"Amazing.... That’s amazing!" Yi Chen couldn’t help but exclaim in delight while grabbing onto her shoulders.

Although he knew that Feng Yu was supposed to beco the Phoenix Empress, he had never imagined it would happen so soon.

Seeing the sense of pride and delight apparent in Yi Chen’s eyes, Feng Yu, of course, felt good, but at the sa ti, sadness started to creep into her eyes.

However, before Yi Chen could notice the change in her eyes, a certain mory flashed in his mind and an anxious expression ford on his face the next mont.

"Your father! How is he? He was seriously wounded by that old woman earlier and was bleeding profusely!" Yi Chen exclaid.

"He took the Golden Firmant Pills, so he’s fine now. I’ll go there in a while. The servants are currently taking-" before Feng Yu could complete her words, Yi Chen jumped up from the bed.

"Let’s go and et him now!" he said, serious while grabbing her hands. Despite her words, there was still a hint of concern in his eyes.

Unlike Feng Yu, who was confident about Golden Firmant Pills thanks to her new mories, Yi Chen had only heard about their effect.

So such a response was only natural.

"Yes," she nodded, and the two left for the main quarter.

There was still a lot Feng Yu needed to convey to him, but seeing his urgency, she buried it for later.

At the sa ti, seeing him care so much for her father, she couldn’t help but feel assured in her heart.

’With him taking care of father, my heart won’t be troubled...’ she thought with a conflicted expression on her face.

Walking side by side with hurried steps, the two soon reached Zheng Ru’s quarter.
