Ten bridges were lowered between the two ships, all of which were imdiately packed with pirates and navy sailors from each side crossing over. On top of that, from grappling hooks connecting mast to mast, there were nurous n climbing across the thin wires in hopes of getting to the other side. The final thod of boarding was done through the water, where skilled swimrs crossed the waters, as well as n in small boats that relied on oars to travel.

Blodwen had already entered his shark form, as the waters were his strong point. As the navy sailors spotted a large green shark swimming below them, they fired all sorts of weaponry deep into the water.

However, there was no hope for them. This was a Drowned-rank pirate with a bounty nearing 50,000 Halos. A simple sailor could do him no harm, especially not in his domain.

Blodwen the Green leapt from the water and landed atop a sailing boat filled with navy n. His jaws opened wide before chomping down on the boat, devouring half of the small vessel, as well as two navy rookies.

He absorbed their souls before diving back into the water, which now had red blood flowing through its translucency.

He continued swimming beneath the depths, searching for his next prey.

...

Pip and Jackson were a part of a small group of Templars that ziplined from a grappling hook to cross over to their enemy ship.

Mid-grapple, Pip noticed that there was a navy sailor waiting for her on the other side with a smile on his face. From his perspective, this was a small girl, easy prey.

He lifted his revolver and prepared to aim at the small, black-haired girl. However, Pip was prepared. She used one hand to take off her pirate hat and threw it towards the man.

It hit his face, obscuring his vision. When he fired his gun, it missed.

"Yes!" Pip found herself cheering, before realising that she was not prepared for what to do next.

Luckily, Jackson, who was currently ziplining behind her, leaned sideways and drew his revolver. He aid and fired at the man, taking him in the shoulder. It wasn’t a killing blow, but the shot damaged him severely.

Seeing this, Pip realised what she needed to do. She drew her cutlass and thrust it forwards into the man’s neck, landing on top of him as she joined the corpse in the crow’s nest.

As she stood there looking down at the bloody man, she realised sothing.

It was the first ti she had killed a man.

...

Kruger and Adriana remained behind the railing of the Lionheart ship, providing ranged support to the n who boarded with lee weapons.

Adriana used her Double Shot skill to fire two rounds one after the other, whilst Kruger used Scatter Shot, amplified with piercing rounds. This mixture was lethal; however, Kruger had to be careful, as the bullet spread was dangerous.

Still, they were able to provide efficient support to Petyr, Silius, and Dawn, who were now pushing across a bridge with Captain Lionheart following behind them.

Petyr used Shadow Thrust, causing his shadows to damage his enemies, whilst Dawn used Ember Scratch to burn hers. Silius used a dagger to cut his opponents down, utilising his Short Blade Efficiency skill.

Captain Lionheart walked behind them, as well as a few other Templars, without even drawing his weapon. It was as though he were an actor walking onto a stage, allowing others to make way for him.

It looked arrogant, but the Templars knew that this wasn’t the case.

Their captain was simply preparing himself for the battle that he would inevitably have to fight. Waiting on the other deck, they saw the enemy Lieutenant surrounded by a circle of his n.

The bloodshed continued, but slightly quietened down as the Captain and Lieutenant t on the navy ship, both surrounded by their crews.

With a nod, the crews slightly parted, creating a circle around them, whilst battle continued outside of said circle.

Captain Lionheart stood there with a giant brain pendant around his neck as he stared at the silver-haired and silver-eyed Nimitz.

Both n wore hard expressions on their faces as the rain fell heavily, drenching them.

Lieutenant Nimitz suddenly drew a sword from his waist. It was a thin rapier with a red handle, as well as a red blade. One glance told everyone that it was a treasure.

anwhile, Captain Lionheart didn’t draw any serious weapon. Instead, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a handful of rocks.

Nimitz furrowed his face in anger. To him, this captain was disrespecting him severely!

He dashed forwards with incredible speed, thrusting his rapier forward from a distance.

He was far too far away to hit. However, as his blade thrust through the air, the point expanded impossibly. It covered the distance between itself and its enemy and managed to strike him in his right arm, drawing blood.

The wound wasn’t too deep, and Captain Lionheart didn’t seem too bothered. However, it was clear that he had been caught off guard.

Taking his opponent more seriously now, he circled around the small arena created by both of their crews, juggling the stones in his hands.

When Nimitz dashed forwards and struck again, this ti Lionheart was prepared. He saw the blade coming towards him, aid directly at his heart. Lionheart stomped down powerfully onto the wooden deck, causing a long wooden plank to break off and rise into the air. Afterwards, the plank miraculously turned golden, imbued by so strange defensive technique.

As the blade crashed into this golden plank that was protecting Lionheart’s heart, Nimitz’s hand suddenly vibrated as though it had t an immovable force.

His arm was parried backwards against his will, which didn’t leave him ti to defend against the next strike.

Five golden stones flew from Lionheart’s hand and curved around the plank as fast as bullets. They struck Nimitz in five different areas, piercing through his body with ease and lodging themselves inside the Lieutenant’s body.

Nimitz let out a cry as the pain beca intense. However, he knew that it was far from enough to stop him. Besides, he possessed an earring that would heal such wounds. In fact, it had already started sealing the wounds, which would inevitably leave the stones inside of him, but that was a problem that could be dealt with after the battle.

Nimitz charged again, this ti thrusting his blade forwards and activating a new skill. A mirage of his body was created, causing three different blades to strike towards Lionheart, all of which extended for increased range.

In his mind, this was the end for his opponent. Each mirage’s strike was real and would deal an equal amount of damage. Not to ntion, if you defended against one of the strikes, the other two would have their lethality increased.

Watch , Stanislava. Your father will show you what victory looks—

Before Nimitz could finish his thoughts, he felt his body suddenly beco impossibly heavy. It was as though he had swallowed five anvils.

His weight beca so great that the deck could no longer hold him up.

He crashed through the planks, falling to the underdeck, and eventually falling further, crashing through the keel of the ship and plunging into the Translucent Sea.
