Survive.

A simple sentence, yet it transford into a brand, deeply imprinted onto the depths of Yun You’s soul, becoming sothing she could never forget her entire life.

Perhaps it was because massacring civilians... was not worth the Apprentices Death God’s full attention. Until the very end, they failed to notice a little girl hiding in a hand-width wall gap for three whole days, not eating or drinking, and even her breathing almost ceased.

Later, the Apprentice Death Gods set ablaze the bodies of the people, burning away all evidence, putting everything on the Death Domain, blaming the nonexistent mutant creatures.

They swaggered away, off to enjoy the victory banquet their servants had long prepared for them, treating it as yet another glorious triumph.

No one could judge them; such events were far too frequent in the past, and they had never been punished for killing civilians.

But what they didn’t know was... amidst the ashes and smoky ruins, a girl with blood-red ominous eyes silently crawled out.

The girl let go of the stuffed bear doll her father had given her, which she had been clutching, picked up the reddened dagger, and walked a path that wasn’t hers.

Since then, the sunny, kind girl disappeared, replaced by a mad girl who hurried for survival every day... willing to give up everything for revenge.

This was Yun You’s past, and the reason for her hatred towards the Apprentice Death Gods.

Yet, she really didn’t know how to express these things aloud, only avoiding Jing’s gaze, lowering her head, clenching her fists...

However, speaking of it, her teacher Jing was ultimately a well-inford, distinguished figure.

This uncle had seen so much in his life... his experiences rich beyond imagination, so even if Yun You did not speak, he could see her past from her eyes.

"Little one..."

Jing slowly withdrew his smile, pressing the teacup, softly asked, "You... are here for revenge, aren’t you?"

"Yes."

Yun You nodded sowhat blankly, instinctively asking, "Isn’t it possible?"

"Of course, it is."

Jing rarely beca serious, saying solemnly, "An eye for an eye is the most fair human law; nothing can more rightly deserve the word justice."

"But... revenge is quite challenging. Without careful planning and thinking, people often find it difficult to achieve."

"Hmm..."

He paused slightly, then casually picked up a tablet and handed it to Yun You.

"Write down the nas of your enemies; maybe teacher can give so advice."

Upon hearing this, Yun You regained herself from a lost state, nodded and began to draw sothing with her fingers on the tablet.

"I don’t know their nas, but I still rember what they look like... there were four of them, two were executioners, and the other two seed to be higher-ups or officers, as they gave the order to act."

"Can I draw them?"

"No problem."

Jing shrugged, replied, "As long as you can draw their facial features, I probably can identify them."

"Then I’m counting on teacher."

For the first ti, Yun You used honorifics.

She patiently drew, fingers gently moving, agile like a butterfly.

Soon, the little girl finished drawing four portraits and handed the tablet to Jing.

"Eh? The drawing’s quite good."

Looking at the screen, the colored and angular character portraits surprised Jing.

"Didn’t expect your hands, used to wielding knives, could draw such exquisite drawings... seems I really accepted a talented student."

"It’s nothing impressive."

Yun You shook her head, murmuring, "My mom taught ; she said having an extra skill ans extra survival assurance... so she made learn drawing. Unfortunately, she only taught for half a year."

Upon hearing this, Jing’s pupils slightly contracted, realizing he’d inadvertently killed the conversation...

He wanted to say sothing, but at the tip of his tongue, he couldn’t speak, ultimately sighing and steering away from the topic.

"These four people..."

Jing tapped the tablet screen, gently said, "I do indeed know them."

"The first one, one of the executioners you ntioned."

He pointed at a red-haired man on the screen, introduced, "He’s called ’Black Tiger’, belonging to Sequence 2—Mad Dog like Mad Spirit, but his strength has reached Tier Two, far stronger than that Mad Spirit fellow."

"This person loves using steel to replace body tissue, changing his right arm into a prosthetic blade, with destructive power among the top tier level."

Yun You stared at the screen, firmly rembering the na ’Black Tiger’ and his steel blade right hand.

That blade took her father’s life.

"Black Tiger’s strength isn’t particularly strong in the Apprentice Death God Organization, but relying on his connections, he’s gone to the Nest City Central City’s G Zone as a ’Civil Protection Officer’."

"It’s a position responsible for city security; although not highly ranked, it provides abundant benefits, so that guy should be quite comfortable now."

"Civil Protection Officer?"

Yun You rubbed her ears, questioning, "Did I hear wrong? Can soone like him be called ’Civil Protection Officer’?"

"It’s just a position, like finding no beef in beef noodles, or no citizens in the Nest City’s citizen law."

Jing casually raised the teacup, slowly said, "Anyway, this guy’s the easiest target among the four; if you want revenge, start with him."

"With your talent... surpassing him in a short ti isn’t hard."

Saying so, Jing pointed at the second person on the second screen.

He’s an extrely strong man, with short black hair, draped in silver armor, neck and shoulders layered with steel plates, looking quite imposing.

"This person’s the second executioner you ntioned, nad Hikamu, Death God type of Sequence 5·Guard, strength just reached Tier Three at the end of last year."

"He’s... difficult to kill, should say Guards are hard to kill... tough as a turtle, that’s the feature of this sequence. Anyway, I suggest you improve yourself first and don’t rush at him."

Hearing this, Yun You lightly nodded.

In her mory, this Guardian Death God nad Hikamu was like an iron-clad mountain, capable of lifting a building single-handedly, even walking through molten steel, his defense suffocating.

Without absolute confidence, Yun You wouldn’t seek him.

"As for the remaining two..."

Jing paused, said in a deep voice, "You don’t need to know their identity yet."

"Or rather, little one, you currently don’t have the necessity to know their nas."
