"Speaking of which, I'm not afraid of you laughing at ..."

The woman gently caressed the radio in her hand, murmuring, "Although we generations who have lived at the bottom of Nest City... know better than anyone the dirty underbelly of Nest City, we know how foolish it is to pursue justice."

"But even so, in the hearts of people like us, there is still a longing for soone to uphold justice and maintain that elusive righteousness."

"And Master Mokaka can play the role of the 'Executor' we idealize."

"Do you know Old Li? The guy selling barbecue biscuits at the edge of the camp earlier, he seems fierce but he's actually nice. He has a son nad Little Jie, only fifteen, a programming genius who can hack into a company's security system in ten minutes."

"Old Li always says that when his son grows up, he must send him to study in the Upper District, to leave this damned place."

The woman pointed to a certain position outside the tent, and Yun You knew what she was pointing at. There was an old man there, always guarding the barbecue stall, holding a cigarette. The sll of rain mixed with the smoke made her throat a bit sore.

"Later Old Li ended up on a Floating Island due to so accident and lost contact with Little Jie. It wasn't until a week ago that he got a chance to call ho, but it was his neighbor who answered, telling him that Little Jie had been run over by a drunk young master a year ago."

"Then the police ca, glanced and called it 'gang warfare', tossed a check to the neighbor, saying it was 'humanitarian compensation' from that young master - probably a few thousand Silver Cannons."

"What could Old Li do? Before he got unfairly jailed, he was just a barbecue skewer seller, barely making enough to survive. And those bribed cops made it clear - that's how much his son's life was worth. What could he do? Just another filthy bottom feeder, can't even touch their shadows."

"But Old Li actually had other ans. He took that check and the money he'd saved before prison and went to see Master Mokaka. I saw him then, very humble, very gentle, like a sheep, but filled with anger, saying he wanted justice."

"Master Mokaka just glanced at that pile of small bills, said nothing, didn't take the money, just silently left, but accepted the commission."

"Could have been just a few days' ti at most."

The woman shook her head sowhat ruefully.

"Old Li saw a live broadcast, rcenaries in black robes storming a luxurious manor, firing wildly in that villa Old Li never dared dream of... It sounded like an army at war that night..."

"The next morning, a driverless car arrived in front of Old Li's tent, and when he opened the trunk, there was the rich young master who had run over his son."

"He was tied up like a pig ready for slaughter."

"..."

"There are so many of us who have benefitted from Master Mokaka... That old blind codger's husband was once a sheriff, devoted his life to duty, shot dead by corrupt colleagues in a gang brawl just for having a little sense of justice, after seeing so underground trades."

"The neighbor, Alanna, works on the club fringes. Her sister was tortured to death, even fild in VR and sold, the corpse cut into parts. The old man's son from the next tent was taken by a pharmaceutical company as a test subject, returned just a rotting corpse, and three thousand or more Silver Cannons."

"None of us can change any of this, but we can seek out soone, hope she can help us achieve 'justice', and that soone is Master Mokaka."

"Even though we're all aware that what Master Mokaka truly seeks is just fa and that sense of unique identity, the fact remains she has helped us, gotten justice for so."

After hearing this, Yun You nodded silently.

Just as she had thought before, Mokaka might have myriad flaws, but she indeed helped people, her heart definitely isn't bad... and in this decayed world of Nest City, reaching this level truly isn't easy.

And truth be told, Yun You was equally intrigued by this legendary identity Mokaka wanted to create.

"To see gangs, cops, corporations as ants, where one person's force surpasses all group arms, at the top stands the world's true vile source, while under him lies the bottom people's mutual pursuit of [Morality] and [Fairness]."

Yun You thought that if one day she could fulfill her revenge, then opening a shop in the underbelly to fulfill wishes—lounging in the chair, playing gas, napping when free—sothing cos up, grab her gear, turn the world upside down; perhaps that life wasn't bad either.

After all... when she escaped from that hell back then, having nowhere to go and sleeping in the ruins, she'd fantasized countless tis about soone being out there who could deliver justice for her.

But in the end, she'd never waited for that person, having to rely on herself for everything.

Thinking, the little girl still wanted to ask more...

But just at this mont, outside the tent, the sirens suddenly blared.

"Woo—!"

The harsh and dull buzzing instantly spread throughout the camp.

"Sothing happened?!!"

The woman's face changed, hurriedly put down the radio, and looked gravely out of the tent.

"What's going on?"

Yun You also felt a bit uneasy.

"I don't know, but Master Mokaka told us once that this buzzer-style siren is the highest level of warning, only used to sound during War Gang invasions."

Speaking, the woman hurriedly got up, pulled open the tent flap, and ran out.

Though Yun You was sowhat puzzled, she also followed out of the tent.

Though the alarm had just gone off, the camp's residents had already taken to the streets, curiously looking around, blocking the roads thoroughly.

The crowd squeezed together densely, drawn by sothing, forming an impenetrable circle.

"What's going on? Why was the alarm suddenly sounded in the middle of the night?"

"I don't know, but the people up front say soone had an accident... And that person's identity isn't simple."

"What? Then where is it?"

"Seems to be the corner of Zone Three."

Discussion and exclamations intertwined, the air thick with a mix of oppression and a bit of excitent—soone had died, and not just anybody.

This news spread like wildfire, attracting more people to watch.

Yun You squeezed through the crowd, took quite a while, before finally breaking through to reach the destination.
