Chapter 1270: To Care About a Hostage This Much

Editor: Atlas Studios

“Sinian…” Shi Qian called out in a childish voice, pletely treating Arthur as Fu Sinian.

Arthur’s heart trembled as he looked down at the little woman in his arms.

He had a few women, but they were all tools to solve his needs. He had never spent any effort on any woman.

However, when Shi Qian hugged him like this, although she was calling someone else’s name and treating him as another man, it gave him a strange feeling.

It made him want to involuntarily be gentler to her and protect her.

“Drink this cup of water,” Arthur coaxed softly.

“No, no… I don’t want to drink it…” Shi Qian shook her head desperately in his arms.

She still remembered the reaction after drinking the glass of water. It was too unfortable.

Arthur felt his arm getting wet and immediately put down the cup.

Shi Qian was crying.

Tears soaked his clothes and burned his chest.

“Sinian, hug me. I really feel terrible.” Shi Qian clung to him and begged pitifully.

Arthur raised his hand. He seemed to be struggling internally, but in the next second, he tightened his arms around her.

Receiving a response, Shi Qian nuzzled his chest again, as if she was about to fall asleep.

“Boss! We have to let her drink the glucose water as soon as possible. If her hypoglycemia is serious, she’ll die!” Andy was a little worried when he saw Shi Qian’s reaction.

It was obvious that Shi Qian was beginning to lose consciousness. If Shi Qian went into shock on the ship, he was not confident that he could save her.

Arthur picked up the glass of water again and brought it to Shi Qian’s lips.

“Shi Qian, drink the water!”

Shi Qian no longer had any reaction.

Her face was as pale as paper, and her lips were purple!

Arthur picked up his cup and took a long sip of glucose water. He fed it directly to Shi Qian’s lips.

Shi Qian’s lips were tightly shut. He could only pry open her lips.

“Oh!” Shi Qian finally reacted, but she resisted.

Arthur hugged her tightly and sealed her lips until she swallowed the entire mouthful of glucose water.

Then, he took a second sip, then a third…

Until the entire glass of water was fed.

Shi Qian fell limply into his arms, her brows furrowed tightly.

Arthur’s Adam’s apple bobbed, filling his throat with the sweetness of glucose.

Even this kiss was so sweet.

Andy was dumbfounded.

The Boss had sacrificed too much for this hostage!

“What else do we have to do? Just feed her this glucose water?”

“I have some iv drips here. Let’s give her one first. It shouldn’t be a big problem.”

“Nothing must go wrong!” Arthur raised his voice.

Andy was shocked. “Yes, Boss!”

When he turned around to mix the iv drip, he was still wondering if Boss was too concerned about this hostage.

Arthur carried Shi Qian back to the bed and stayed by the bed to watch Andy inject Shi Qian.

“Boss, I’ll stay here and wait for the drip to finish,” Andy said to Arthur after he finished injecting.

“Leave.”

Andy was speechless. He quietly packed his things and walked out.

Arthur sat by the bed and looked at Shi Qian. He couldn’t help but hold her delicate hand.

She was really soft. Although she looked thin and weak, she did not have much flesh on her body. When she carried her, it was as if she had no bones.

She was also like a flower raised in a greenhouse. As long as she was not carefully cared for, she would wither.

Arthur’s heart suddenly ached as if it had been stabbed by something sharp..
