The plush, velvet chairs of the manor’s private cinema room housed the weight of Theo and Aurora. Outside, the sunlight, once streaming through the large windows, had long since surrendered to the encroaching dusk, painting the house in the warm glow of the sun’s fading light. The cinema room was only illuminated by the soft glow of the projector’s light. And through this light, it was possible to see partially empty popcorn and chips bowls, soda cans, and other snacks adorned the Theo and Aurora’s surroundings.

Theo, an athletic twenty-year-old with long silver hair tied in a ponytail, was currently battling the urge to nap. ’Just one more episode,’ he thought, his eyelids threatening to droop shut. He’d planned a ticulously delicious lunch: rice, grilled fish, vegetables, and other side dishes. But shortly after Theo and Aurora had their lunch, the siblings decided to spend their lazy day binge-watching anis in their cinema room.

That was how the current scene ca to be. Aurora, anwhile, was completely engrossed in the latest episode of their chosen ani, a ridiculously over-the-top magical girl series. Her sixteen-year-old self found the excessive glitter and dramatic transformations utterly delightful. ’This show is so bad it’s good,’ she mused, a wide grin plastered across her face. Secretly, she was slightly embarrassed by her enjoynt of it, but Theo wouldn’t judge. He was currently battling a cha in his own head. "Theo," Aurora whispered urgently, her eyes glued to the screen, "He’s about to kiss her! Oh my gods, he’s going to!" Theo, jolted from his near-sleep, mumbled, "Yeah, yeah, I saw the preview." Just then, the cinema room door opened slowly, revealing one of their house robots carrying a tray of food. Sylph, their ever-efficient AI butler, had brought them snacks. The robot carried a silver tray laden with snacks: a mountain of popcorn, a bowl of what appeared to be suspiciously bright green candy, and a plate of oddly shaped cookies. "I brought more snacks, boss!" Sylph announced in her usual lively voice. The robot had a small screen where they could see Sylph’s cute visual waving at them. The robot placed the tray on the small table between them and retreated.

"Thanks, Sylph!" Aurora said. "Wow, Sylph really outdid herself," Aurora comnted, reaching for the questionable green candy. "This looks... radioactive." Theo peered at the cookies. "Those look like they’ve been sculpted by a particularly enthusiastic goblin." He picked one up. "Mmm, tastes delicious?"

"It seems that the culinary dishes that I have been teaching in her program have started to take effect." He comnted. "Maybe we’ll soon have the first ever Robot Master Chef?" Aurora said with a giggle, popping a green candy into her mouth. Her eyes widened. "Actually, this tastes like li. Surprisingly good." Theo took a bite of the goblin cookie. "Hmm, it was a good decision to teach her how to cook." Now that Theo woke up from his nap, they watched another couple of episodes before he tried to convince Aurora to switch to another ani. He really couldn’t handle this current over-the-top magical girls ani.

Theo stretched, his ponytail swinging as he yawned dramatically. "Okay, I admit that magical battle was pretty intense. But co on, Aurora, we’ve watched, like, six episodes of this magical girl ani. Let’s switch it up!"

Aurora, her eyes still glued to the screen, pouted. "But Theo, we’re at the best part! The main character is about to unlock her ultimate transformation and defeat the evil wizard! We can’t stop now!"

"Fine, fine," Theo relented, knowing his sister’s persuasive skills were as powerful as any magic. "But how about we take a little break? We’ve been snacking and watching for hours. Let’s stretch our legs, and then we can dive into a new ani."

Aurora paused the ani, the image of the magical girl mid-transformation frozen on the screen. "Okay, deal. But where are we going to go? And more importantly, what are we going to watch next?" she asked, a mischievous glint in her eye.

"Well," Theo began, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth, "since we’ve been indulging in so over-the-top fantasy worlds, how about we go for sothing a bit more... relatable? Like that slice-of-life ani that was popular in the last ani season. How was it called?"

"I think it is ’Trouble at the Village’," She replied, Aurora’s eyebrows furrowed. "Hmm, that does sound like a nice change of pace. But you know I have a soft spot for drama. What about that new ani everyone’s been talking about? The one with the complicated love triangle and the mysterious transfer student?"

"Oh, co on, Aurora," Theo teased, "do we really need more drama in our lives? Besides, I heard that ani is crazy funny. I heard so people pissed themselves laughing while watching this ani."

Aurora laughed, conceding defeat. "Alright, you win. Let’s go with your suggestion. But first, I need to stretch my legs and get so fresh air. Being in this cinema room all afternoon has feeling a bit cooped up."

"Good idea," Theo agreed, standing up and cracking his knuckles. "I can cook us so delicious dinner. Then we co back to watch more ani."

Theo and Aurora arrived at the ground floor of the manor and headed in different directions. He went to the kitchen to prepare dinner, while she went to the front yard to observe the city lights from there. Their house was on the outskirts of the city and on top of a hill, so it was possible to see the whole city from there. Aurora wanted to browse through her phone while admiring the pretty view.

Theo arrived at the kitchen and imdiately started preparing the ingredients for the dishes he chose, which were Curry with Rice and Udon Noodle Soup. Two heart-warming dishes to fill their bellies on this lazy day.

Theo humd to himself as he chopped vegetables and asured spices, his silver ponytail swaying with each movent. He loved cooking, finding it a ditative process that allowed him to unwind and express his creativity. As he worked, his mind wandered back to the ani they had been watching, a smile playing on his lips as he recalled the over-the-top magical battles and Aurora’s enthusiastic investnt in the show. He knew his sister loved the dramatic and fantastical, and he enjoyed indulging her, even if his own preferences leaned more towards cha and action-packed adventures. But for now, he was content to let his hands work their magic in the kitchen, crafting a delicious curry and udon noodle soup. He took pride in his culinary skills and often enjoyed experinting with new recipes, always eager to share his creations with Aurora.

anwhile, Aurora stood at the manor’s front yard, her eyes taking in the breathtaking view of the city lights. She felt a sense of peace as she admired the twinkling lights, a gentle breeze playing with her hair. She pulled out her phone, snapping a quick picture of the view to send to her friends. Her thumbs moved swiftly across the screen as she texted, filling them in on her day spent binge-watching ani with Theo. She scrolled through her social dia feeds, liking and comnting on posts, feeling connected to the world beyond their manor. Aurora loved these quiet monts to herself, where she could reflect and appreciate the simple joys in life.

"Young boss, the big boss told to say that the dinner is ready." Sylph sent a text to her.

She took a mont to breathe in the fresh air, a content smile on her face, before turning back towards the house, her stomach rumbling softly at the thought of Theo’s cooking.

The aroma of spices and simring curry filled the kitchen as Theo added the final touches to their dinner. He placed the dishes on the dining table with care, arranging the noodles and curry with a chef’s eye for presentation. He took a mont to admire his handiwork before calling out to Sylph to let Aurora know that their dinner was ready.

As he waited for her to join him, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of warmth and contentnt, grateful for their cozy ho, their beloved robots like Sylph, and the bond he shared with his sister.
