Phase III
The contracts remain the sa with additional clauses.
For half contracts and full contracts
*Under your permission, the people under half contracts can travel back and forth between two worlds. Every travel would be under the User's supervision and the secrecy clause remains the sa. (The people under full contracts wouldn't need permission for every travel).
*The side effects of gaining an ability/constitution through contracts are negated. This is done so that gaining ability/constitution doesn't interfere with each other and create a body for the User that could essentially die at any mont.
*The user can teleport to any of the full contract holders' vicinity while travelling from either universe or choose to do so to his last point of departure. Sa applies for full contract holders.
*For half contract holders, the User in return would need permission from the holders to travel to their vicinity and vice versa, if the holders want to travel to the User's vicinity, from the other universe.
*The User can now bring things/materials from one universe to the other which he can carry with his strength off the ground.
Change in ti
From now on, the ti dilation won't be static. It will be in the ratio of 1:2. The User's origin world will be the antecedent, while Earth - 199999 will be the consequent. Essentially, one hour in the origin world will be two hours on Earth-199999.
It had been more than 6 months since he had that eting with Hokage and in the next 4 months he would graduate, so he was looking forward to the next phase of his powers.
And as expected, the next phase really ca after spending 4 years in total. And suffice to say he wasn't excited going through the new mories. He could look over the use of contracts that could allow others to multiversal traverse. That wasn't really important.
What was important was the fact that the negative effects of the body constitution were gone. Which ant even if he had Mangekyo Sharingan, it wouldn't affect him if he abused them like the other Uchihas.
This was a huge improvent. One of his aims was getting the signature from Sasuke and other Uchihas. But he always feared the backlash from the overuse of eyes. But now it wasn't a problem.
This was a huge relief for him.
For the mont he didn't think of informing his parents that they could see a new universe. It wasn't required and he would do so when it was ti to show them a new world. For now, he was fine and actually had a different anxiety.
The graduation and the team allocation. But suffice to say he was very happy with the new phase.
In the months that followed, Naruto suffered more. This guy was failing horribly in his tests of combat. At tis, Rei would feel sad about him, because this guy gave all the effort but still failed horribly. Thanks to Kurama ssing around and the seal playing its part.
But Rei didn't interfere, though he did notice that Mizuki, one of the teachers, had started to follow him around and talk with him here and there. Though the current Naruto wasn't exactly lonely, since now he had Rei, the hatred of the people around him and his inner desire to get accepted by people around him affected him.
So Rei had to spy on Mizuki and Naruto to see what they were cooking, or if they were following the original plot. And suffice to say, Mizuki had shifted from making Naruto betray the village to trying to poison his mind saying that the Book of Seals had a jutsu that would allow him to beco a genius in one day and defeat Sasuke.
And thus would gain recognition from the village.
Honestly, Rei hearing the plot made him laugh. Not because the situation was funny. But because Mizuki sohow managed to slightly modify the original manipulation while still keeping the sa ending goal. The man really had zero creativity.
Mizuki anwhile kept speaking softly.
"The Book of Seals has forbidden techniques, Naruto."
"…Forbidden?" Naruto blinked.
"Powerful techniques." Mizuki leaned slightly closer. "The kind that can make soone special overnight."
Naruto's eyes visibly wavered slightly at that.
"…Strong enough to beat Sasuke?"
Mizuki smiled imdiately afterward like a shark slling blood in the water.
"Maybe even stronger than him."
Certain events still tried correcting themselves naturally even after Rei's interference.
Later that evening, Rei quietly appeared outside the Hokage Tower while ANBU guards imdiately recognized him. After a few monts, Rei was eventually allowed inside Hiruzen's office again. The old man looked slightly surprised seeing him arrive this late.
"…Rei?"
"There's a problem," Rei replied calmly.
And imdiately Hiruzen's expression sharpened slightly. This was the first ti Rei had actively sought him, so that itself was a huge improvent. He had a slight fear that Rei might not be as committed to Konoha as the others under the Will of Fire.
Those who are very perceptive often see the world a bit differently than others. They see the bigger picture more often than not. Itachi did quite early and his vision was sothing that aligned with Konoha and thus it helped Konoha, though in the most brutal way possible.
Rei had the sa views but he was never sure how he would turn out in the future. It was for this reason that he himself had offered him early graduation that would make Rei have more good feelings towards Konoha. Early graduation would an Konoha had recognized his talent.
But he refused and Hiruzen felt like he would have to push Rei more to have a sense of belonging to Konoha, because subtle manipulation that worked on children would never work on Rei.
But today, Rei's arrival gave huge hope to Hiruzen.
"What happened?"
Rei quietly stepped closer afterward before speaking.
"Mizuki is manipulating Naruto." Hiruzen slowly placed his pipe down afterward.
"…Explain."
And thus Rei explained everything. Mizuki approaching Naruto repeatedly. The Book of Seals conversation. The promises about forbidden jutsu. The emotional manipulation. All of it.
The more Hiruzen listened, the colder the atmosphere inside the room quietly beca. He had not been spying on Naruto as Rei had given him the attention that Naruto deserved. But now, sothing like this was lurking.
He wasn't disappointed in Naruto. He was rather angry at Mizuki, as a guy like him had been allowed inside the Academy. He was angry at himself.
"…I see…" Hiruzen finally murmured quietly afterward. "Thank you for coming to with this. Who else knows about this?"
"Only you, Lord Hokage."
"Hmm…" Hiruzen puffed on his pipe and then continued, "Naruto will still likely attempt stealing the Scroll once Mizuki pushes him far enough."
"Probably," Rei agreed.
"…Then perhaps we simply adjust the situation slightly."
Rei's eyes narrowed slightly.
"A fake Scroll?"
That imdiately made Hiruzen chuckle softly.
"You truly are too perceptive for your age sotis."
Naah bitch, I just read between the lines when I first saw the ani.
"A fake Scroll would solve the issue," Hiruzen continued calmly. "Mizuki believes he is manipulating Naruto into stealing forbidden techniques. Naruto himself still believes he's pursuing strength. And we avoid genuinely dangerous information leaving the tower."
"…And Naruto?" Rei asked quietly afterward.
Hiruzen's expression softened slightly there.
"…I would prefer he doesn't lose faith in the village from this."
That answer alone honestly surprised Rei slightly. Because despite all of Hiruzen's flaws and political failures regarding Naruto, the old man genuinely did care about him. At least he showed it that way. He knew that Konoha didn't have the resources before to safeguard Naruto, if it ever ca out that he was the son of Minato.
Especially after the Third Great Ninja War. But then again, this guy for the love of friendship allowed that fiend to grow into sothing horrible. Though Rei had sympathy for Hiruzen, not so deeply.
He was just flawed. But then again, weren't all politicians flawed, and so were human beings in general.
"Rei."
"Hm?"
"Keep an eye on Naruto during this entire situation."
Rei blinked once.
"…You trust with that?"
Hiruzen looked amused hearing that question.
"You've already been doing it for years."
"…Fine."
And just like that, the situation settled itself. Right before Rei left the office, Hiruzen suddenly called out again.
"Oh, and Rei."
The child paused near the doorway.
"Since you are technically helping the Hokage handle a potential traitor situation…" Hiruzen smiled slightly afterward, "…perhaps so compensation might be appropriate eventually."
Now that imdiately got Rei's attention. Not because of greed exactly. Mostly because free things were objectively wonderful.
"…I suddenly feel far more patriotic," Rei replied seriously.
That finally made Hiruzen laugh properly. Rei coming forward to to speak to Hiruzen was done so, out of problems that might arise from Danzo. He was sure that Danzo didn't like how Rei treated Naruto and if he allowed this man to feel that Rei was a threat to Konoha, by not informing of the problem that Naruto caused, this one eye bastard would point his finger at Rei.
