Kakashi thought that the contract was just so kind of non-invasive seal like the one Root had. But he really didn't expect Rei to actually receive half of their abilities/constitution. This was absurd.
Such kind of kekkei genkai really existed in the world? He was just expecting so kind of seal that would allow them to receive the weapon from Rei, but the contract actually held up it's end.
Eventually after another few minutes, Rei finally straightened himself properly again though his chakra still felt rough internally. He definitely didn't have full control right now.
"…The side effects are temporary," Rei explained quietly afterward while exhaling slowly. "Too many changes at once overload the body a bit."
"A BIT?!" Naruto shouted imdiately. "YOUR EYES JUST DID WEIRD THINGS!"
This idiot really forgot the explanation about Sharingan. Seed like he would have to teach him better. Still… despite the instability, Rei internally also understood sothing else now. It was worth everything.
The simple reason he used the gun while he could have used ninja techniques to overpower Haku was because he wanted to arise curiosity in Kakashi. He was his pri target. Because once he could get the attention of this man, he would definitely get the sign.
Rei knew that Kakashi didn't fully trust the words of Rei but over the last few months he had been showing things that he was sure this white haired man was getting curious about and now the weapon. Though it was cringe, he had get his attention.
Naruto's words helped as everyone knew how Rei would treat Naruto. Proper respect, friendship and care. One couldn't fake it, in such an young age. Rei was known to be intelligent but at the end of the day in the eyes of grownups they were still children, and never knowing the cruelty of the world.
Big words were just that.. Big words.
Thus getting Kakashi after the use of gun was easy and everyone else fell like dominoes on the slight push, especially after . But now that Kakashi saw how absurd the ability was, he couldn't help but think if he had created so kind of monster.
Thankfully, Kakashi could tell the contract didn't an he couldn't go against Rei. And though he was sure it wouldn't be required ever, but one never knew how so enemies could control him. One strong genjutsu and he would be in the hands of others.
No, I need to teach him how to combat against genjutsus. Kakashi thought.
anwhile Rei needed to take care of Haku and Zabuza.
So after finally regaining enough balance not to collapse embarrassingly, Rei slowly walked toward the restrained Haku first. The masked shinobi had regained partial consciousness already while silently observing everything around him.
Honestly… Haku looked terrifyingly calm considering the circumstances. Rei crouched slightly in front of him afterward.
"Sign the full contract."
"What is this.." There wasn't a trace of emotion in his face. This guy had all emotions in his heart and nothing else. What a weirdo!
Rei explained what it was. At first he didn't believe him, but then Kakashi and others just looked at the contract and were horrified to see such an absurd contract existed. Unlike last ti, Kakashi this ti believed Rei.
That ant, Rei could have easily gotten the full contract from his other students, but instead opted for half, which ant Rei was only cruel to his enemies and not his friends.
Good.... Perfect...
Haku soon got the idea that this was real and this wasn't a farce.
"…And if I don't?"
Rei's expression didn't change.
"Then eventually Zabuza dies."
That imdiately changed Haku's eyes. Seriously, their relationship remained one of the most emotionally unhealthy yet strangely beautiful things in Naruto.
Haku slowly looked toward the unconscious Zabuza nearby afterward.
"…If I sign…" he asked quietly, "…you'll spare him?"
Rei stayed silent briefly there.
Because unlike half contracts, the full contracts genuinely bothered him morally still. If he could, he would avoid it, but he needed the help of everyone around. He wouldn't control them, as they deserved to have a good life, but a small control was always necessary.
Practicality mattered more here, in these two godforsaken universes.
"He'll live," Rei answered honestly afterward. "But he'll remain restrained until I can properly defeat him myself."
"…You won't kill him?"
"No." Rei replied calmly. "I don't need to nor do I want to." He said that as he showed the contract. Haku understood and seeing how his friends were treating his words, it ant this kekkei genkai of his was probably true. They were now prisoners, and prisoners didn't get to sit at the negotiation table.
"…Fine."
And thus Haku signed.
The mont the full contract materialized completely afterward, Rei again felt a hue change in his body and then out of nowhere ice started forming around him. Before anyone can realize what was happening, Kakashi moved fast. He took his other three students and jumped back, in order to avoid whatever was festering inside Rei.
And Kakashi was right.
Ice crystals suddenly burst outward from where Rei stood and that wasn't the only thing that happened. The eyes of him turned from one tomoe, to two and then to three. It was so sudden that Rei couldn't even process what was going on.
It felt like his body was being rewritten from the inside. Chakra violently surged through his pathways while fragnts of techniques, everything slamd into his brain one after another. Rei almost lost balance as freezing air exploded outward uncontrollably while his Sharingan spun rapidly inside blood-red eyes.
He almost lost consciousness. Rei couldn't believe that Haku held back by so much when he fought the duo. This guy was way too much soft than he was supposed to. But it didn't matter now as Rei had finally got what he wanted.
Rei's first plan was to get to isolated Haku, just like how Naruto t him in the woods for the first ti. And defeat him. But it seed the butterfly affect played it's part.
After sitting and reigning in the chaotic chakra he was finally able to calm himself down while the rest were horrified. Kakashi didn't expect the reaction from the body of Rei would be so intense.
Thankfully, they didn't notice his three tomoe sharingan otherwise they would be more horrified. The three tomoe was probably because of his chakra outburst and also the influence of Kakashi's sharingan, in addition to the body constitution of the Uchiha. Everything played it's part to make Rei one of the super geniuses of the Uchiha clan.
After all, he awakened three tomoe quite early. Don't compare with Itachi.
Soon Kakashi and the others showed concern toward Rei while Naruto almost looked one second away from screaming for a dic.
"ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE NOT DYING?!" Naruto shouted while grabbing Rei's shoulder aggressively.
"...Naruto, if you shake him more he might actually die." Sakura said nervously.
"I am fine..." Rei muttered while pushing Naruto's face away weakly. "Just give so ti and my chakra will stabilize."
But at the mont, he had other things to settle. The disorientation could wait. Rei slowly stood up afterward before looking toward Haku.
"Keep an eye on Zabuza."
Haku imdiately nodded without hesitation. Honestly, seeing Haku beco obedient so quickly because of the contract felt slightly surreal even for Kakashi and others.
Then suddenly Rei looked toward the rest of Team 7 and Kakashi afterward.
"...Follow ."
Naruto blinked once.
"...Where?"
"Sowhere safe." Rei replied calmly. "And before you ask, yes it will sound insane, so just trust for few minutes. Just follow instinctively, and you will understand.."
"Huh?" Everyone was confused but they followed his lead. Still, before anyone could question further, Rei activated the travel function through the contracts.
The world distorted. Naruto imdiately scread. Sakura almost threw up. This was because the landscape suddenly changed out out nowhere. They weren't ready at all for this.
Sasuke felt his soul temporarily leave his body.
And Kakashi for the first ti in years genuinely forgot to act cool.
Space itself twisted unnaturally around them before the cold mist of the Land of Waves vanished completely.
Then suddenly. warm air, soft lighting. The sll of buttered popcorn. And loud television noises.
Team 7 abruptly found themselves standing inside a gigantic modern living room.
anwhile on a large couch nearby, the Demon Brothers sat beside Daniel Harris while casually eating popcorn and watching television like unemployed middle-aged n.
"...AND THEN HE PUNCHED THE CAR THROUGH THE BUILDING!" izu shouted excitedly toward the TV.
"This superman is definitely so kind of super samurai." Gozu nodded seriously while grabbing more popcorn.
Daniel anwhile looked spiritually exhausted already. Then suddenly all three of them slowly turned toward the newly arrived Team 7.
