It took another 5 days to completely control all his chakra. And what helped in this journey was the Shadow Clone Jutsu. Naruto was dumbfounded when he saw how Rei abused shadow clones. Of course unlike Naruto, Rei didn't bother/dare to produce too many shadow clones.
Rei had inherited his chakra, but for so reason he didn't inherit the Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu. Even though he could now easily learn it, Rei refused to. The primary reason behind that was the recoil every ti a shadow clone would disappear.
A few ones were fine, but a huge number of them would definitely give Rei a headache, so he didn't bother to go beyond 4 or 5 shadow clones. And since his chakra levels were huge by standards now, thus he was able to sustain shadow clones for long periods of ti.
Naruto was dumbfounded when he saw how shadow clones could be abused and thus he started abusing them too. Of course, in lesser works like walking on water. They were finally able to climb a tree and hang upside down.
Kakashi thus gave them another milestone, and that was walking on water. Thus the whole Team 7 was both working and honing their skills. In fact, Rei had been helping Sakura in dical ninjutsu and for that Daniel had supplied so dical books so that she could understand the human body first.
Daniel and Laura by now were used to the absurdness of these people and in their eyes, the twin brothers were more normal than the rest. Or at least, they thought so. If Daniel ever knew what kind of environnt the brothers had been brought up in, he would faint.
But the twin brothers were also learning general knowledge. And it was taking ti.
"Sensei, I have mastered what remained to master." Rei spoke on the 16th day since the challenge was issued. The fact that Rei could say that was itself a miracle. Even in Rei's eyes.
It was because when he first got the chakra of his mother, it took him more than a year. And now within half a month, he had mastered multiple chakra inputs and even a kekkei genkai. Was it the effect of Asura and Indra? It had to be.
There was no other explanation for this. Those two guys were broken. Maybe because he got half of both and thus he was able to master them faster than he anticipated. Whatever! He was more than happy to beco so powerful.
"Oh! Congrats.. I guess." Kakashi didn't seem fazed at all. Whatever surprise and shock he had received in all these days, they had made him immune to more surprises.
"Sensei I want a one on one combat against you." Rei pitched his idea. Now that got his fishy eye's attention.
"Heh.. After mastering so jutsu, you think you can take on a jonin?" Kakashi asked.
"Sensei, I literally challenged Zabuza.. What are you even talking about?" Rei was confused.
"I thought you were just joking when you ca and said you challenged him." Kakashi admitted.
"You have no hopes for ?" Rei asked.
"Nothing like that. I just thought it would take so ti for you to get used to so much information and chakra." Kakashi said.
"Well, here I am. Just want to see how powerful I had beco." Rei said.
"Fine, you are fighting tomorrow." Kakashi said, while closing his magazine that he had purchased recently.
Soon Naruto and others got to know too that Rei would be fighting Kakashi the next day. This startled the duo and they looked at Rei with envy in their eyes. Especially Sasuke, as he felt he was being a slow bum, while Rei was progressing so fast, though he knew that Rei was cheating.
But wasn't the Sharingan itself cheating? It's not Rei's fault that he awakened three tomoe, while he was only on two.
"You don't have to look with envy in your eyes. I am sure all four of us will be very powerful in the future. Believe in yourself." Rei said as he saw the looks of the duo, and even Sakura, who didn't say a thing until now, needed to hear that.
"This was the most optimistic thing I have ever heard you say Rei. I thought you are a pragmatist." Sakura couldn't help but chuckle.
"No. You are wrong. I am a realist." Rei corrected her. anwhile, the duo after a small mont of contemplation both left after glaring at each other. After all, Rei had advanced so high that he had decided to fight their sensei, while they were left behind. This couldn't go on.
Thus they both had promised themselves that they would master water walking by tonight.
The next morning, the whole team, including the Demon Brothers, left the ranch and were back in their own world. Such kind of fighting might attract attention from people, Rei didn't want that, so it was better to just fight in secrecy. Of course, they wouldn't be fighting near the bridge. That would be a surprise for the demon later.
And Kakashi actually didn't take the fight as a joke at all. And thus he lifted his forehead protector fully upward, and the atmosphere changed instantly.
And Rei responded in kind too. Three tomoe Sharingan appeared. And instantly the world seed slower and everything beca sharper to his senses. This ability of the Sharingan alone made those Uchihas more powerful. No wonder they were feared!
Then both of them disappeared.
BOOM.
The ground cracked beneath them from sheer acceleration while tal violently collided mid-air. Kunai sparks exploded outward instantly as both Sharingan tracked each other's movents perfectly.
Fast. Too fast for Naruto and Sakura already. Only Sasuke barely managed to follow fragnts of movent now thanks to his own dojutsu.
Kakashi attacked first aggressively afterward. His taijutsu remained cleaner, sharper and more instinctive than Rei's current level. Years of battlefield experience showed imdiately.
But Rei adapted frighteningly fast. Thanks to his Sharingan he was able to keep up and his body didn't betray him.
Then suddenly Kakashi ford hand signs.
"Earth Style: Mud Wall!"
The ground instantly rose upward violently. But Rei already reacted.
"Earth Style: Earth Flow River!"
The terrain beneath Kakashi destabilized instantly into flowing mud while the wall itself lost balance. Kakashi imdiately leapt upward only for ice senbon to explode toward him mid-air.
In the eyes of Rei, Haku had been playing while being handicapped and he didn't use his powers to the full maximum. Though Haku had fast movents, in the real world one needed to be dynamic, not be concentrating on a single person. And thus Rei was determined to grow beyond Haku.
It wasn't like the contract had the obligation to stop his growth, with the growth of the contract holder. He could always use his brains.
Kakashi twisted sideways while deflecting several needles before suddenly vanishing.
Rei's Sharingan narrowed imdiately.
Behind.
Lightning crackled violently.
"Chidori!"
The piercing sound exploded across the ranch instantly. Even incomplete, the pressure alone made Sakura tense. Rei imdiately slamd both hands downward.
"Earth Style: Earth Shore Return!"
A thick slab of earth violently flipped upward between them just as Kakashi pierced through it using Chidori.
BOOM.
Fragnts exploded everywhere. And then suddenly water flooded the battlefield.
Water clones. Multiple ones at that.
Kakashi imdiately clicked his tongue afterward because unlike ordinary clones, these ones attacked intelligently from different angles simultaneously. Still Kakashi showed real experience which Rei lacked.
Two clones disappeared instantly beneath precise kunai strikes. Another got electrocuted through lightning chakra flowing across the water surface.
But that wasn't the point.
Rei watched carefully through Sharingan perception while gathering information continuously. This man had too many aces up his sleeve. But Gojo-sensei had forgotten that he too now had his own cheats.
ICE MIRRORS ford suddenly. Even Kakashi visibly looked surprised now.
"…Creative."
But Kakashi imdiately countered with raw experience however.
"Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!"
The giant dragon exploded across the battlefield violently, destroying several mirrors instantly while forcing Rei backward. And then Kakashi appeared directly in front of him.
Rei barely reacted in ti using Sharingan prediction before blocking a brutal kick aid toward his ribs. The impact still launched him backward across the wet ground.
"…Your instincts lag behind your eyes." Kakashi observed calmly. But the fight didn't stop there. Both of them were at it, but at the end Kakashi put his hands up.
"Sensei, why did you give up? You would have been able to beat Rei." Naruto shouted.
"Hey, Naruto.. Shouldn't we be cheering for Rei.." Sakura looked offended that Naruto was siding with sensei.
"Uh!.. Well.. Umm..." Naruto also felt guilty about it. His pea brain didn't think it through at all.
"It's not that he can't beat Rei. It's just that he can't continue with the fighting anymore. The Sharingan use puts him under too much strain and he can't prolong a fight for too long." Sasuke said.
