"Wait why would you even need a bodyguard. I thought a man like you would better prepare the armor for himself for his own safeguarding." Rei asked. That was the burning question in his head.
"Normally I would have, but Yinsen had said that when I was captured and disoriented he had heard from the side of how the Arican had provided them false information and that I was a huge asset.. So I am sure so of my own countryn are out there trying to get to . And I have zero trust in anyone except for you guys." Tony said and that was the truth.
He ca here for two reasons. One was understand them which had already blown his mind away and the other was hire them again. He had already paid them off the bounty with bonus, which Rei had already known but didn't bother.
They didn't take the mission to receive so money. They had plenty of it. Rei was surprised that saving Yinsen would also open his eyes much earlier than expected, and though it wasn't of consequence for Rei if Haku was with Tony or not, but he sure as hell was interested in the dynamics between them.
Tony really didn't expect that kind of answer from Zabuza. Because this whole ti the man radiated:
*murder
*bloodlust and
*"I solve emotional issues through decapitation."
Yet suddenly he was talking about Haku getting education and a peaceful life like so emotionally constipated father figure. Reality truly had stopped making sense lately.
anwhile Haku himself looked completely caught off guard.
"Zabuza-sama..."
For a brief mont the teen genuinely didn't know what to say. Because all his life had revolved around serving Zabuza. Existing for his sake. And now suddenly... Zabuza was telling him to live for himself a little. It felt strange.
Tony anwhile slowly looked between the two afterward before finally speaking.
"...Okay wow. That's sohow the healthiest conversation I've heard all morning and one of you is carrying a sword bigger than my car."
"Thanks." Zabuza replied proudly.
"...That wasn't a complint."
Still, before the conversation could continue further, Sakura suddenly coughed lightly afterward while looking toward Tony.
"...Speaking of requests..."
Tony imdiately narrowed his eyes slightly.
"We want customized weapons."
"...Excuse ?"
"The guns Daniel gave us are good." Sakura explained imdiately afterward. "But they aren't optimized for us specifically."
"Who is Daniel?" Tony asked but then rembered. "Oh that guy who is one of the owners." And Sakura then continued.
"And after seeing your "engineering" you can probably make better ones."
Tony slowly leaned back against the couch afterward while staring at literal children discussing military-grade custom weapon requests with complete seriousness. But after seeing what these children could do and even know that they could more things than they have shown, it seed pretty normal to ask for better gears.
Tony stayed silent briefly afterward before sighing tiredly.
"...What kind of weapons?"
And instantly both Sasuke and Sakura]'s eyes lit up. Rei imdiately realized Tony had made a catastrophic mistake. Sasuke moved first.
"Compact high-caliber firearm with suppressor compatibility."
Sakura imdiately followed.
"Lightweight dual pistols optimized for mobility and recoil reduction."
Tony blinked slowly.
"...You two have thought about this way too much."
"We had free ti." Sasuke replied calmly.
"These two spent entire weeks shooting trees." Naruto added helpfully. Tony rubbed his forehead afterward.
He felt deeply uncomfortable designing weapons for children. But at the sa ti... these younglings already lived in a world far harsher than most soldiers. And if they were going to fight anyway...
Then maybe the least he could do was ensure they used equipnt made properly instead of random junk bought through black markets.
"...Fine." Tony finally sighed afterward.
Both Sasuke and Sakura imdiately straightened slightly.
"But," Tony pointed firmly, "nothing absurdly destructive."
That instantly disappointed Sasuke.
"...Define destructive."
Tony imdiately looked alard.
"...See, THAT response is exactly why I'm worried."
anwhile Naruto suddenly jumped into the conversation dramatically afterward.
"I WANT A BIG ONE TOO!"
Tony didn't even hesitate.
"No."
"...EH?!"
"Absolutely not." Tony replied instantly. "You specifically should never have explosives."
Naruto looked personally betrayed by life itself. anwhile Kakashi quietly turned a page of his book.
"...Smart decision."

Haku was silent as he got in the car with Tony. He found it a bit odd to be away from Zabuza from this point on. Rei had already told Zabuza to fix the filth of New York City, and that ant he and Zabuza wouldn't be in proximity for long periods of ti.
It was like being away from father. But he had always been sensible. Thus he didn't argue back at Zabuza. The least he can do was study and make him proud. Though they were under Rei, and didn't need to think about money, Haku wanted to do sothing for Zabuza by himself.
And not just support him by brawns. Maybe brains too would help.
anwhile Tony quietly drove through the Malibu road while occasionally glancing toward Haku from the side. The more he observed this kid, the stranger the entire situation felt.
Because Haku looked... normal. Not, not normal, but quiet. And then Tony rembered that this sa teenager casually killed trained terrorists using tiny needles with almost surgical precision.
Eventually Tony finally broke the silence.
"...So." He glanced briefly toward Haku afterward. "How old are you exactly?"
"Fifteen." Haku replied honestly.
Tony almost hit the brakes.
"...Fifteen?"
Haku nodded. Tony didn't know what to say to the whole system their world had. He needed to understand more so that he would never ever dip in their honey.
"So your Bloodline Limit is Ice type right?" Tony asked. After hiring Haku and getting approval from both Rei and Zabuza, he had asked him about what he could do and Haku gave him a description of how he could perform Ice release and also basic water ninjutsus.
Also his knowledge about human body, of course not the dical training, but just human body in general. And how his needles were lethal. Tony was more than happy to hire him and even Kakashi said that Haku was one of a kind even where they ca from since he was the last known survivor of the Ice release bloodline limit.
"Yes, my mother had it. And just like her I too have it now."
"So it's a DNA thing. Got it. How is your mother now?" Tony couldn't help but ask as this guy never spoke of his mother or parents when introduced.
"My mother was killed by my father and his friends on a cold winter morning." Haku said.
The car beca completely silent. Tony's hands tightened slightly on the steering wheel.
"...What?"
"He gathered his friends and several villagers too." Haku continued quietly. "They called her cursed."
Tony slowly felt genuine horror building inside him now. Because Haku wasn't speaking emotionally. He spoke like soone describing weather. Like this level of tragedy had beco normal long ago.
"And then..." Haku lowered his eyes slightly. "...I killed them too. As they wanted to kill . My emotions at that ti got the better of and I couldn't control my ability."
Tony genuinely didn't know what to say for several seconds. Because from Haku's perspective, he was discussing childhood mories.
Tony slowly exhaled afterward while finally understanding sothing important. Rei wasn't joking when he avoided letting people from this world casually enter theirs. Rei didn't speak about contracts and just said Tony wouldn't survive in their world.
That world wasn't rely dangerous. It was horrifying.
And suddenly Tony understood Naruto's loudness too. Maybe the kid acted like that because otherwise he'd go insane. Eventually Tony finally spoke again softly. Of course, he was just making things in his head.
"...You know, where I co from..." He paused briefly. "That kind of thing would traumatize people for life."
Haku tilted his head slightly.
"...It did traumatize ."
Tony imdiately shut up. The rest of the drive beca quieter afterward. Still, Tony eventually asked another practical question.
"...Do you even have legal docunts here?"
Haku blinked slightly.
"...No."
"Passport?"
"No."
"Birth certificate?"
"...No. But Allied Universal would handle it, Rei said before."
"...Hmm...Don't worry about it." Tony finally said afterward. "I'll handle it and talk with Allied. It's Daniel right?"
Haku nodded.
And thus eventually the car arrived at Tony's Malibu mansion. The mont Haku stepped out of the car, he genuinely paused.
Massive ocean view. Modern architecture. Glass walls. Automated systems. Soon they entered the house fully. And instantly another voice echoed calmly throughout the mansion.
"Welco ho, sir."
Haku imdiately tensed slightly.
"...Who spoke?"
Tony smirked slightly afterward.
"JARVIS."
The AI imdiately responded again. Tony showed him the speaker and the small holographic projection in front.
"Good evening. And I assu this is your guest."
Haku's eyes widened slightly. Because unlike television or phones... this wasn't prerecorded speech. This thing was responding intelligently.
"...Artificial intelligence. Well almost. Still not to the level yet." Tony explained proudly afterward while walking further inside. "Basically a really smart digital assistant."
"...Digital spirit?" Haku asked carefully.
Tony stopped walking briefly.
"...Honestly?" He pointed afterward. "That's weirdly close enough."
anwhile JARVIS continued politely.
"Sir, should I prepare the guest room?"
"Yep." Tony nodded casually. "And also add one more thing to the list."
"What would that be, sir?"
Tony glanced briefly toward Haku afterward.
"...Find the best schools in Malibu."
