Xie Xuanchen looked at her closely. He stared for a long time and found himself wallowing in despair once he realised that Mu Mingtang was not joking— she was telling the truth.
Xie Xuanchen never expected that the clothes he took off would be put back on.
Xie Xuanchen was extremely uncooperative, but Mu Mingtang took care of him like he was a sick person. She was very patient throughout the process, coaxing him to lie down and neatly helped Xie Xuanchen button up his collar to the highest position.
“Okay, this way you won’t catch a cold,” Mu Mingtang looked at Xie Xuanchen, who was now neat and tidy, as she said happily.
Xie Xuanchen looked extremely unhappy. He realised that his trick had seemed to have backfired.
In Mu Mingtang’s eyes, Xie Xuanchen was now a weak and injured person who could not make big movements and was not able to even think about more intense exercises. Xie Xuanchen mitted too many errors in the early stage, so now there was no way to say that the injury on his arm was not a problem, at all. Hence, he could only endure the pain and ‘recuperate’.
When going to bed at night, Xie Xuanchen wanted to put his arms around his wife’s waist to pensate for his sadness, but Mu Mingtang pushed him away, “Sleep properly and be careful not to injure your wounds at night.”
Xie Xuanchen wanted to speak out several times, but finally, he swallowed the truth alive and said, “No, I’m injured, I have to hold you to heal.”
“No can do, now please stop making trouble,” Mu Mingtang said with a professional look, “You are still recovering from your injuries. Do you not care about your body that much? Just lie down and don’t move your hands, I’ll cover you with the quilt.”
Xie Xuanchen was very skilled at acting coquettishly. He immediately lifted the quilt and said, “I can’t hug you, so you e and hug me. Otherwise, I won’t sleep.”

Xie Xuanchen immediately hugged Mu Mingtang over without any burden. When Mu Mingtang woke up the next day, she found that they were sleeping together again. Thinking that she had rolled into Xie Xuanchen’s arms in the middle of the night, she climbed out of his grasp carefully. Xie Xuanchen woke up as soon as she moved. Mu Mingtang saw it and asked in a low voice, “Did I crush you last night?”
Xie Xuanchen shook his head. He originally planned to explain the truth, but Mu Mingtang breathed a long sigh of relief and said, “That’s good, but I still can’t relax. You happened to hurt your right hand. Is it convenient for you to hold chopsticks?”
Xie Xuanchen’s words changed again, “Not really.”
“Then I’ll do it these ing days.”
