Ken calmly waited for her to finish speaking, then he looked her right in the eye. "So you aren’t an evil spirit, I’ll believe you."
She looked even more pissed when he said that, leaning in to say sothing, but then she stopped. She leaned back and looked at him.
"Wait a mont, why the hell are you not scared? You randomly saw a spirit and you seem so calm." She pointed out.
"I don’t get scared, my mind treats anything that happens as my current situation, and panicking about that current situation does nothing.
So I simply try to find out what the situation is and how to solve it, and from you I have already managed to get a good look at what you are.
You are the daughter of the world tree, which ans the tree in the elf settlent in this forest. You are sowhat connected to the main world tree," Ken analyzed.
"Sowhat? What the hell do you an sowhat? I am very much connected to her, she is my mother," she said.
"Uhm, what can I call you?" he asked, seeing she had not given a na yet.
"Oh, just call Mira," she replied, "that was the na the elves gave to ."
"Alright then, Mira, it doesn’t seem like your mother, the world tree, likes any of her kids if she doesn’t allow the other elves to co back and stay with her," Ken said.
Her eyebrows dropped first and her face carried the look of soone in pain. She looked away for a few seconds, and then she turned back.
"That’s not what we are here for," she said, returning her expression back to the original that she had before, calm and sweet.
"Yeah, so what do you want from ?"
"The leader of the leg tribe here, my children, she knows of your etings with her daughter," Mira said.
’Knew it, the issue now is how is that important.’
"Luna is a special child, a very special one, and as such her mother is extrely protective of her daughter.
When you had started eting her at first, she wanted to act and take you down, using the monsters of the forest, but that plan changed."
"Hmph, not like it would have worked anyway," Ken said.
"I find your confidence quite nice, but there are more monsters in this forest than you actually know of, so will take you down even at your strength, and yes, I have been watching you, so I do know your strength."
She walked forward and stood right in front of him. She looked at his arms and then at his face again. "It’s extrely ridiculous for you to be this strong physically," she said, but then furrowed her brows, "sadly the sa cannot be said about our magical aspect."
"Tch, I’m bad at magic, but that’s not a discussion for now. Tell why you left alive and what it has to do with Luna," Ken demanded.
She snapped back to what she had been saying before and composed herself. "Luna is going to beco pivotal in the system of this world, she is a one in a million prodigy, one that even the elf continent has their eyes on, and also the humans.
They want to use Luna as the specin for the reconciliation of humans and elves and they are not willing to budge for anyone else.
Her mother has been stuck on this issue for years now and has not been willing to let go of her daughter. She has asked many tis to find a way that her daughter is not forced to go, but that has been impossible, since mother communicated with that it was what was best for the current stage of things." Mira explained, then she looked at Ken with the kind of look you give soone when you want to request sothing from soone.
"Her mother saw Luna with you for a month, and the way you interact, she researched you and though the details of you are not fully clear, she ascertained that you would be the best person to be with her daughter.
She wants you, Ken, to be with her daughter through everything that is to co and to ensure that the worst does not happen.
There is more to it, but I can’t tell you until you have agreed to it and co to the village with , and then you’ll get everything."
Ken analyzed what she was saying as fast as she could say it and he was already very quickly seeing the picture that she was painting.
"You want to be a bodyguard for Luna and to ensure that the humans don’t use sneaky thods to do anything to her, but at the sa ti you want to ensure that Luna will not do anything that will shatter what they are trying to build," Ken said as he looked at her.
Mira was stunned by how fast he deduced that, but he was right, so she gave a nod. "That’s what we are asking of you, and if you co with , we will be willing to offer the right type of compensation, whatever it is that you want, her mother is willing."
’Hmm, here I was thinking that eting with Luna’s mother would take ti, now I have so leverage to ask for her help.’
"I’ll co there, but not with you," Ken stated. "I will co with Luna," he said.
Mira stared at him for a while, then she nodded. "That’s fine. Before I go, I’d like to give sothing to you," she said in a calm tone. "Like I said before, I have been watching you for a month, and thirty days of back-breaking training is impressive, you might not be fully capable of high-powered magic, but even the lowest form mixed with your strength would be great.
So have this, it will surely help you out," she said and then stretched out her hands, a single stick was there.
Ken looked at it and frowned,
"The hell?"
