"Yes, Daddy?"

"Before we go ho, we need to go sowhere else first."

Yun Dujun then glanced at Yun Yuhyun.

The two of them were in the backseat of the car that Han Myung was driving.

His son was in his car booster while playing a relaxing ga on his computer tablet.

That tablet was made by Junsung Group— the company owned by Lee Heeju’s giant conglorate family.

Anyway, car boosters weren’t really a thing in their country.

But after that awful car accident, Yun Dujun beca extra careful when it ca to things like driving.

"Where are we going, Daddy?"

"We’re going to et your Oga dad."

Yun Yuhyun gasped, and then he finally lifted his head to look at Yun Dujun. "Daddy, that hyung doesn’t like ..."

"’Hyung?’" Yun Dujun knitted his eyebrows. "Yun Yuhyun, Bae Wonyoung isn’t your ’hyung’— he’s your father. Address him properly."

He must have used a cold voice that Yun Yuhyun wasn’t used to because his son flinched.

I didn’t an to sound scary, but it’s shocking to hear my son address my husband as ’hyung.’

"Did you call Bae Wonyoung that way when you t him?"

Yun Yuhyun nodded ekly. "Yes, Daddy..."

Haaah.

Yun Dujun pinched the bridge of his nose. "Yun Yuhyun..."

"But that hyung... that ahjussi..."

Yun Dujun shot Yun Yuhyun a cold glance when the child address Bae Wonyoung as ’ahjussi’ this ti.

"My Oga father said he doesn’t want as his child, Daddy..."

"Were you rude to him first?"

"..."

"So, you were rude to your Oga dad first," Yun Dujun said, sighing. "Yun Yuhyun, your Oga dad treats you how you treat him. If he said he doesn’t want you as his son, then you probably said you don’t want him as your father."

Yun Yuhyun didn’t say anything, but the child’s silence was enough answer.

This is my fault.

Yun Dujun buried himself in work after Yun Yuhyun was born.

And since he avoided visiting Bae Wonyoung in the hospital, he also didn’t get to bring Yun Yuhyun there to et his Oga dad.

Now I regret it.

Bae Wonyoung beca an estranged father to Yun Yuhyun because Yun Dujun didn’t put more effort into keeping Bae Wonyoung a part of their lives.

All because I wanted to protect Bae Wonyoung from my mother...

His intention was good, but now he knew he had done it the wrong way.

This is why they say the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

"Yun Yuhyun, your Oga father didn’t choose to be absent from your life for five years," Yun Dujun explained as gently as he could. "Your father got into an accident that left him ’sleeping’ for that long."

To be honest, he wasn’t sure if Yun Yuhyun could understand what he was saying.

My son is a little more mature than his peers, but he’s still a five-year-old child.

"I know it’s awkward because Bae Wonyoung is practically a stranger to you. But can you try to get to know your Oga father?" Yun Dujun asked gently. "He’s going to be a part of our lives from now on, Yuhyun-ah."

"Are you going to marry my Oga father, Daddy?"

"I’m already married to him, son."

Yun Yuhyun let out a gasp as if he were shocked. "When did you get married, Daddy?"

Oh.

Yun Dujun rembered telling Yun Yuhyun that he was married to Bae Wonyoung when he introduced his husband to his son by showing the kids pictures of Bae Wonyoung.

Though Yun Yuhyun was only three years then, so he had probably forgotten already.

"I’ve been married to your Oga dad before you were born, son."

"But you don’t have a wedding ring, Daddy," Yun Yuhyun said, confused. "Married couples are supposed to have wedding rings, right?"

Ah.

Yun Dujun looked at his empty left hand.

Right.

I never got the chance to give Bae Wonyoung a wedding ring.

"I’ll give your Oga dad a ring later," Yun Dujun said, looking at his son. "Yuhyun-ah, if you promise to try and get along with Bae Wonyoung, we’ll go anywhere you want. Just the two of us."

Yun Yuhyun’s face bead. "Then let’s go to SoLand, Daddy!"

Oh.

That’s the amusent park owned by Lee Heeju’s family.

Wonyoung bagged a new part-ti job, and it was sothing that he really wanted to do.

He got the text ssage while having a late breakfast. But since he wasn’t in the mood to cook a proper al, he just grabbed a big bag of chips and started munching on them. He kept staring at the text ssage that he just received.

It may not be obvious, but he was actually happy.

Even in this world, acting will always be my first love.

That was why he looked for part-ti jobs that were related to acting.

I don’t have the ti to build a portfolio yet. But once I find An Baekya, I’m going to start looking for auditions. I’ll reach out to my forr classmates and Theatre Club mbers if I have to.

It would have been easier to ask for Yun Dujun’s help, but...

I don’t want to rely on Sunbae-nim too much.

Wonyoung’s train of thought was interrupted when he got a call from Yun Dujun.

Oh, right— he got my number last night.

"Yes, Sunbae-nim?"

"Yun Yuhyun and I are here."

Wonyoung almost forgot that he had a ’date’ with the Yuns today.

I’m not yet ready to face my biological son.

"Sunbae-nim, actually, I’m feeling lethargic today—"

"I bought Hanwoo beef and fruits for you, Hoobae-nim."

Wonyoung imdiately got up from his seat. "I’ll pick you up at the lobby, Sunbae-nim."

"NOT ONLY were you having a late breakfast— but you even call this bag of chips a proper al?"

Tsk.

Wonyoung let Yun Dujun and Yun Yuhyun in his apartnt, but he didn’t expect that the Alpha would scold him after finding out that he was having a bag of chips for breakfast.

What’s the big deal?

"I was just too lazy to cook breakfast, and I wasn’t that hungry anyway," Wonyoung said awkwardly, wondering why he even had to explain in the first place. "I figured I could just order lunch later."

Yun Dujun let out a sigh. "I’ll fix you a quick al."

"You don’t have to—"

"Hoobae-nim, it’s only been a few months since you woke up from a coma. You haven’t even regained your previous weight before the accident, so you should be eating properly," Yun Dujun said patiently while already rolling his sleeves up his elbows. "Look after Yun Yuhyun in the anti."

Aigoo.

It’s ti to face the music now.

Wonyoung finally looked down at Yun Yuhyun.

He was bracing himself to ’beef’ with the kid again.

However...

"Hello. I’m Yun Yuhyun," the kid greeted Wonyoung politely, even bowing his head. "How have you been, Appa?"

’Appa.’

Yun Yuhyun called Wonyoung ’appa.’

He should be happy, but...
