"YOU CAN talk to , Hoobae-nim— especially if it concerns our son."
Aigoo.
Wonyoung didn’t want to admit this, but Yun Dujun’s soothing voice was making him want to whine to him like a child. Plus, the Alpha kept rubbing his back gently as if telling him that everything would be alright.
It’s a reassuring feeling.
"It doesn’t have to be now," Yun Dujun said, still speaking to Wonyoung in the gentlest way possible. "You can tell once you’re ready. I’ll be waiting."
"Sunbae-nim, you’re making feel spoiled."
"And what’s wrong with that?"
"I don’t want to get used to this feeling."
"Why not?"
"Because we’re going to divorce soon," Wonyoung said bluntly. "That’s why I don’t want to depend on you too much."
"What are you going to do after our divorce, Hoobae-nim?"
"What exactly do you want to know, Sunbae-nim?"
"Are you going to date again and marry soone else?"
Tsk.
What kind of question is that?
Wonyoung suddenly felt bitter after he rembered what An Baekya had shared with him before.
Apparently, Sunbae-nim remarried after I died.
And, allegedly, Yun Dujun married Lee Heeju in that ’story.’
"Sunbae-nim, I will never get married again," Wonyoung said firmly, and he sounded bitter even to his own ears. Yeah, he knew he was being ridiculous. But he couldn’t help it. "Unlike a certain soone, I won’t remarry just to have soone help raise my son."
"Are you talking about ?" Yun Dujun asked, obviously confused. "But I have no intention of remarrying either."
Liar.
"Hoobae-nim, what is this about?" Yun Dujun asked, holding Wonyoung by the shoulders. Then the Alpha slightly and gently pushed him so that he could look at Wonyoung’s face. "Do we have a misunderstanding between us? Am I the one making you feel bad?"
Oh.
Wonyoung didn’t expect that Yun Dujun would confront him directly.
Hence, he was flustered.
It didn’t help that it suddenly got quiet— making the thoughts in his head louder than they should be.
Wait, it’s quiet?
They could hear the TV playing earlier.
An Baekya and Yun Yuhyun were watching a cartoon before Sunbae-nim dragged here.
But it was quiet now.
"Sunbae-nim, the kids are being quiet," Wonyoung said, his eyes widening a bit. And, yes, he was changing the topic on purpose. "It’s never a good sign when the kids go silent suddenly."
Yun Dujun let out a sigh. "You’re still good at dodging questions you don’t want to answer, Hoobae-nim."

"WHEN IS your birthday?"
An Baekya almost rolled his eyes at Yun Yuhyun’s question.
He asked the sa question when we first t.
"Hey, don’t ignore ."
An Baekya wanted to annoy Yun Yuhyun more, so he ignored him and just continued watching the cartoon.
It was an original Korean cartoon called ’Coffeebara.’
The cartoon was about the daily life of a capybara that enjoyed drinking coffee.
It’s currently popular among children. But, in the future, Coffeebara will be super famous among adults once blind boxes beco a thing.
An Baekya wondered if he should make liking Coffeebara his personality from now on.
Yeah, it shouldn’t hurt my image if there’s a particular character that I’m obsessed with.
"Yah! I asked you a question!"
An Baekya was determined to ignore Yun Yuhyun, but the little bastard grabbed the control and turned off the TV.
Fucking hell.
What’s wrong with this punk?
"Don’t ignore ," Yun Yuhyun said after An Baekya gave the brat a side-eye. "I asked you when your birthday is!"
Pfft.
It was funny how red Yun Yuhyun’s face was.
He’s obviously upset.
An Baekya decided to stop teasing the brat since he didn’t want to start another fight.
Or else, Uncle Wonyoungie might suspect of ’bullying’ his son.
"My birthday is on September 13."
Yun Yuhyun’s face bead, and then he smiled smugly. "My birthday is on August 13— I’m exactly one month older than you, An Baekya."
"So what?"
"You should call ’Hyung.’"
"Are you crazy? Being born a month earlier isn’t a big deal. We were still born in the sa year."
"How dare you talk back to your elder?"
Aigoo.
"I won’t mind calling you ’Hyung’ if you act like one— but you don’t," An Baekya said calmly. "You act like an attention-seeker. I guess your daddy doesn’t pay that much attention to you, huh?"
Yes, An Baekya was being petty.
He couldn’t help it.
Even though Yun Yuhyun is only a child right now, looking at him still reminds of how much I’ve suffered at his hands.
So, An Baekya couldn’t stop hurting Yun Yuhyun with harsh words.
"You probably hate because you’re afraid I’ll steal your daddy away from you. To be honest, I don’t think it will be hard. It doesn’t look like Abeoji cares about you in the first place. In fact, it’s obvious that your daddy likes your appa more than he likes you."
Oops.
An Baekya realized that he crossed the line when big, fat tears rolled down Yun Yuhyun cheeks silently.
Dammit.
He panicked, especially when he heard the bedroom door open.
So, he did the first thing that crossed his mind.
An Baekya pulled Yun Yuhyun into a tight hug while rubbing the kid’s back. "I’m sorry," he whispered in a hurry. It would be a problem if Yun Yuhyun cried loudly. "Please stop crying— I’ll be nicer to you, Yun Yuhyun."

HMM?
Wonyoung was surprised when he saw An Baekya and Yun Yuhyun hugging each other while the two kids sat on the sofa.
What happened here?
There was no way An Baekya would hug Yun Yuhyun like that without a reason.
"I guess we have nothing to worry about the kids," Yun Dujun said while looking at An Baekya and Yun Yuhyun— still hugging— approvingly. "They’re getting along well, huh?"
Wonyoung looked at Yun Dujun in disbelief.
This sunbae-nim can really be dense sotis.
