Both of Zheng Xiu’s alt accounts had maxed-out[Muscle Strength].

He never felt like anything was wrong when fighting monsters—he just had to beat them to death.

But when that force was actually used on an ordinary person—or at least, soone with the durability of an ordinary person—its terrifying nature beca apparent.

The blind man’s spine was broken in several places, and his skull had caved in. On the verge of death, he looked like a sieve—blood was pouring from all over his body, impossible to stanch.

Inside the Great Night Treasure Pavilion, the others saw the blind man quiet down, and their gazes all swiveled to focus on the Mighty Man.

After all, the Mighty Man was the one who had administered the drug; he was calling the shots.

Zheng Xiu seized the mont and began the interrogation.

Zheng Xiu: "Na."

The blind man: "Shi Yuan."

Zheng Xiu: "Age."

The blind man: "Thirty-seven."

Zheng Xiu: "Where are you from?"

The blind man: "The Incompleteness Tower."

This rapid-fire exchange stunned Dou Xie. "What kind of drug did you give him?"

Yue Yan raised a finger to her lips. "Shh!"

Dou Xie imdiately fell silent.

The way Zheng Xiu questioned and the blind man answered—the forr deliberate, the latter without hesitation, as if his mind had been stolen away—was truly a marvel to behold.

What was even more amazing was that this effect wasn’t achieved with a Path Mystic Skill, but with an ordinary herbal concoction. Even Feng Bei couldn’t help but look at the Mighty Painter in a new light. No one had expected Senior Zheng, beyond his brute strength, to also be versed in dical Principles and pharmaceuticals.

Feng Bei sat ramrod straight nearby, her hands placed on her knees. ’I really want to ask how Zheng Xiu knows all this,’ she thought.

When the blind man answered Zheng Xiu’s question of "Where are you from?" with "The Incompleteness Tower," varied expressions appeared on the faces of Feng Bei, Dou Xie, and Yue Yan.

The Blood Crows they had with them were sowhat similar to Ravens. Anyone who wasn’t an idiot could guess that their origins were connected to Ye Weiyang in so way.

The Incompleteness Tower?

’What kind of place is that?’

Zheng Xiu asked again, "The Cannibal Painting. Where is the Cannibal Painting?"

The blind man’s gaze was vacant. He didn’t answer.

Zheng Xiu paused. He rembered that "Cannibal Painting" was the na passed on by Lower Four, not necessarily the painting’s real title. He decided to try a few different approaches.

The effect of "Dream of Spring" was similar to a Truth Serum. It couldn’t actually steal a person’s mind or control their heart. It rely plunged them into an abnormally calm state, causing them to answer Zheng Xiu’s questions without thinking. If Zheng Xiu’s questions beca too complex or required actual thought, the blind man would just freeze up.

When Zheng Xiu asked, "the painting you were looking for," blood trickled from the corner of the blind man’s mouth, and he finally managed to mumble a sentence.

"The painting... the painting... is with... the Play-Play-Playful Monk."

Zheng Xiu had to ask several tis before he could make it out. ’The painting... Playful Monk... is he trying to give a tongue twister?’

Feng Bei’s curved eyebrows furrowed slightly. She mused, "The painting is in the hands of soone nad ’Playful Monk’?"

The blind man said, "Play... Playful Monk."

The group tried asking in various ways, wanting to know who this "Playful Monk" was and where to find him, but all they got in response was the blind man’s vacant stare.

It seed they wouldn’t get any more information by pressing him further.

"Brother Zheng, since we can’t find out about the painting, why not ask about their Incompleteness Tower?"

Yue Yan whispered.

Zheng Xiu nodded. Having run into this trio of cripples several tis, anyone could see that the "Incompleteness Tower" was clearly mass-producing disabled Miracle Masters through so fixed "rules" and "Restrictions." He even suspected they were using the sa "experience pack principle" he had figured out. If there was a "Mystic" in the Incompleteness Tower who was willingly letting others leech off them, then it would all make sense.

Though the Miracle Techniques of the disabled group were bizarre and varied, their rules, diums, and Restrictions were all extrely similar.

Not long ago on the street, the two who were dispatched by Feng Bei, one in each hand, had also been hastily calling out "Blind man! Deaf man!" Unfortunately for them, they were killed by Feng Bei before they could even make a move.

"Who is the boss of your Incompleteness Tower?" Zheng Xiu asked.

The corners of the blind man’s mouth curled up slightly, but his gaze remained dull. He answered, "The boss."

Zheng Xiu frowned. "Who. Is. The boss. Of. The Incompleteness Tower?"

The blind man still answered, "The Boss."

Zheng Xiu understood. ’So they actually call him "The Boss."’

"Who is The Boss?"

"Hee hee hee—"

Suddenly, the blind man let out a strange laugh. His chest gradually began to swell, and his voice took on a hollow, inflated quality.

"The Boss is the Tower Master."

"The Tower Master is, hee hee hee, is,"

"a child born at night. Hee hee hee—"

The blind man’s laughter grew louder and his chest swelled larger. From his gouged-out eye sockets, two jets of blood suddenly shot out.

"Fuck! Get out! He’s gonna blow!"

The blind man’s transformation made the others, who had seen this once before, react instantly. Zheng Xiu grabbed Uncle Fu beside him, slamd his shoulder into the windowsill to shatter it, and leaped down. Almost at the sa mont Zheng Xiu shouted his warning, Feng Bei’s gaze sharpened. She made a grasping motion with her right hand, and a wave of her arm unleashed a gale that tore half of the three-story pavilion apart from a distance.

In the next mont, the blind man’s body swelled up like a ball, his flesh erupting with ugly, fleshy tumors.

"It’s the boss’s Fireworks! Hee hee hee!"

BOOM!

The blind man’s self-destruction was imnse.

But its destructive power was extrely limited.

Zheng Xiu helped Uncle Fu to his feet and looked up.

CRASH... CLATTER... RUMBLE.

Unfortunately, the pavilion wasn’t very sturdy. The second floor and above collapsed downwards, and in the blink of an eye, the three-story building was reduced to a single, solitary floor.

"It’s over."

Uncle Fu stood in the empty street, buffeted by the cold wind, his mind in disarray.

The second and third floors had held countless antiques and treasures, all destroyed in an instant.

Zheng Xiu reacted quickly, leaping back up to the second floor.

The floor above was a complete ss—bits of flesh, viscera, and hair were splattered everywhere, and the thick stench of blood filled the air.
