The man had already approached.
Cheng Zhirang sat in the back seat, watching him with an unchanged expression, then glanced at Chen Song’s panicked look, and opened the car door to get out.
He slightly blocked in front of Chen Song and her son, extending a gentlemanly hand to the man.
"Mr. Ji."
The light in the corridor shone on the man, revealing his face.
Unexpectedly, he was a relatively young man, probably not yet thirty, dressed in black, looking quite intimidating, not like a kind person.
Ji Yu reached out to briefly shake hands with him, his gaze fixed on Chen Song, who was holding the child.
"What, you don’t recognize ?"
Chen Song kept a cold face and said nothing.
Ji Yu then looked at Cheng Zhirang: "Mr. Cheng, the event is over. Can you give her to now?"
"That depends on whether Sister Chen wants to, forcing others shouldn’t be sothing the Ji Family taught you."
Ji Yu laughed indifferently, looking at Chen Song:
"Is this what you like? No wonder you always told I wasn’t suitable for the entertainnt industry back then, always criticizing . Just because you like this type? So you nad our child after him?"
He heavily bit the words "our child," looking both mournful and angry.
Chen Song imdiately said coldly, "What nonsense are you spouting?! Shut up!"
Chengcheng was startled.
Cheng Zhirang’s face also turned cold: "Watch your words, the child is present, and I have a girlfriend."
"Then why is he called Chengcheng?"
Chen Song patted Chengcheng’s little butt, and he timidly said in a childish voice, "Because Chengcheng really likes to eat oranges."
Ji Yu was montarily speechless.
Assistant Wen in the car almost burst into laughter.
"Assistant Wen."
Trying to hold back laughter, suddenly being called by the boss, Assistant Wen imdiately looked up, got out of the car: "Huh? Brother Cheng?"
Cheng Zhirang: "Take Chengcheng to the studio. Sister Chen—"
He looked at Chen Song and said, "Do you want to have a chat with him?"
Chen Song glanced at Ji Yu, then looked down and touched Chengcheng’s little cheek, calming down: "I’ll go with him, please take Chengcheng to the studio, I’ll pick him up in an hour."
Ji Yu wanted to say sothing, but Chen Song had already handed Chengcheng over to Assistant Wen.
"Chengcheng, be good, go play with Uncle Wen at mommy’s workplace for a while, mommy will co to pick you up soon, okay?"
Chengcheng listened attentively, then cautiously glanced at Ji Yu, softly asking, "What about daddy?"
"...." Chen Song’s voice was dry: "Tomorrow is Friday. I’ll have daddy pick you up for the weekend, okay?"
"Okay!"
Chengcheng cheered, waved at Ji Yu, and was carried into the car by Assistant Wen.
Ji Yu’s gaze followed his little face until the car window rolled up, obscuring the view, then he coldly stared at Chen Song and asked, "Why not let him co with us?"
"To listen to us argue? Ji Yu, don’t you know a child’s emotions are sensitive? You dare talk nonsense right in front of him!"
"Heh, I thought you forgot my na. You gave birth to him but kept it from , denying the chance to be a father!"
"He doesn’t need it."
"He doesn’t need it?" Ji Yu walked over and grabbed her hand, "Ask your conscience, who doesn’t need a father?! He was so happy to see today!"
"...." Chen Song gritted her teeth and broke free from him, rembering Chengcheng’s expectant face, unable to speak.
"Find a place to calmly talk, the car windows aren’t completely soundproof, the child can still hear." Cheng Zhirang reminded them.
The two imdiately stopped talking. But Ji Yu forcefully grabbed Chen Song’s hand, pulling her towards his car.
"Then, Mr. Cheng, please take care of Chengcheng for now. We’ll co pick him up in an hour."
Cheng Zhirang nodded, looking at Chen Song. She nodded to Cheng Zhirang, clutching her bag tightly, being dragged step by step by Ji Yu.
Cheng Zhirang watched them get into the car, ensuring they wouldn’t start a fight in the parking lot, then also sat back in his car.
Chengcheng was taken to the studio by Assistant Wen, while Cheng Zhirang didn’t go; he went straight back to the Half Mountain Villa.
After returning, he washed up and changed into loungewear, then made a phone call to his family.
The one who answered was a woman with a leisurely voice.
"I thought you’d wait to bring soone directly ho to et ."
Cheng Zhirang relaxed with a smile: "That might be a while."
"Are you really that smitten?"
"Yeah, I am."
"That’s why I said, there are plenty of people who appreciate your looks, whenever you want, why wait until now for romance. You simply didn’t want to, otherwise, you should’ve brought a girlfriend ho in high school."
Cheng Zhirang rubbed his temples: "Mom—"
"Okay, okay, no more old stories... but recently Huanyue returned to the country, supposedly staying, I was thinking maybe you could et her again to see if sparks fly."
"If sparks were going to fly, it would’ve happened long ago. It’s pointless now. Mom, when I bring her back, please don’t ntion these things."
"I know the boundaries. That girl looks pretty good. I watched your show, she’s smart, and importantly, she’s got a great figure. Your aunt even called asking if you prefer girls with good figures."
"Liking her is just liking her, it has nothing to do with her figure or looks. I won’t be back this week, I’ll return next week for dinner."
"With her?"
"I’ll ask her opinion."
"If she feels uncomfortable, don’t press her, tell her not to feel burdened."
"I understand."
"When you’re in love, you need to make an effort, you can’t just rely on your looks to enjoy it. I see that girl has personality, just being courteous to ordinary people won’t do."
Cheng Zhirang felt a bit helpless at the love advice.
"Mom, I’ve acted in many romance scenes."
"But you haven’t actually tried it."
"...."
Not sure what to say.
Even though he hasn’t actually experienced it, he’s acted in so many love scenes, analyzed many romantic relationships, and back in school, how could guys not discuss love issues?
So there’s no need to worry at all.
Perhaps knowing he didn’t know what to say, the person on the other side added, "In any case, if you’re going to have a relationship, be serious about it. You’re not young anymore. Sort out your work matters. There have been a lot of rumors lately, so people are really disgusting to ."
"Morality can’t restrain everyone. You should also stay away from online news, take care of your health."
"Understood. Rember to invite her over for dinner when the ti is right."
"Okay."
As soon as the call ended, another call imdiately ca in, seamlessly connecting.
The caller was Mu Qiu.
Seeing this na, his smile softened a bit.
"Hello?"
No response on the other side.
Cheng Zhirang slowly frowned, calling her na, "Mu Qiu?"
Finally, there was a voice, though it sounded off.
Filled with thick nasal tones and a sobbing tone.
"Will the youthful love that lasts ten years eventually turn into mutual disgust? Can we survive past the honeymoon phase?"
"...What?"
