Mu Qiu heard a familiar sound, the sound of a train clattering past her.
She didn’t move imdiately, carefully listening for a while before pulling off her hood to face her current surroundings.
Right in front of her was the track, with an open-carriage train rumbling past her. She was standing on a platform, her toes only about half a ter from the edge, and the wind from the passing train blew her hair up.
"......Ahhhh!!!"
Such an intense scene first thing in the morning, her heart almost stopped!
Mu Qiu yelled as she backed away until her back was against the platform wall. She swallowed and asked the cara, "What does this an?"
[Show team: It ans silence is golden]
[Director: I absolutely won’t allow the author to live peacefully past the second episode on my show]
[To be fair, this appearance is quite good-looking]
[Just let my lovely do their thing alone, don’t compare them with other handso boys and beautiful girls]
[I got a damn fright too]
[Did the director pay the staff to silence her with murder? Hahaha]
The cara couldn’t answer her, and the caraman kept his lips tight to suppress laughter. The staff who brought her stayed stone-faced and inford her, "Welco to your personal movie channel. This movie is called ’Divergent’. In a personal interview, you ntioned having watched this film. In the next phase, you will experience everything the female lead goes through as her firsthand perspective."
What ’Divergent’? Right now, Mu Qiu couldn’t even rember how to write the three characters for ’Divergent’, only the clattering sound of the train remained in her mind.
When she was a child, her family lived next to the tracks. With this train speed, there would be about a dozen deaths on the tracks every year. Being so close, isn’t she going to be sucked in?!
Mu Qiu pressed herself tightly against the wall, shaking her head at the staff.
"I’m not going."
It was obvious nothing good was waiting ahead.
The staff turned their back to the cara and gave her a aningful smile.
"No worries, but first, you need to wear the MVP badge from the last episode."
"......" Now she was certain, there definitely wasn’t anything good awaiting her.
"Can I refuse?"
"Of course not."
She was eventually forced to wear that red armband. At least the show had so conscience; the brooch looked quite precious and they didn’t force her to wear it... But was it really because they worried about damaging sothing valuable?
Pinning that bright red armband on her vest, "I am the MVP of the first episode!" might as well be a bullseye target.
Mu Qiu inexplicably felt an unsafe sense of panic. She vigilantly looked around, then noticed a familiar, camouflaged little loudspeaker among the ruins on the platform.
The scene was surprisingly realistic. Did they buy the movie rights just to use it on the show?
The little loudspeaker crackled, and the director’s voice ca out.
"Option A for personal movie channel has been activated. Please start experiencing from the first perspective. No guest stars this ti. The show’s the: Life Duration Contest. Rules: Each person has Life Value stickers matching the movie’s storyline, hidden in the clothes’ pockets. During personal experiences, bells will intermittently sound inside the venue. Each ti the bell rings, the hunt for Life Value begins; all snatching actions are allowed. When the bell ends, peace resus. After the third bell ends, the guest with the longest Life Value wins. Guests who have their Life Value taken twice in a row will be reduced to wandering NPCs, losing half their mobility. Now, let the ga begin!"
The final words "let the ga begin" echoed around, and Mu Qiu’s rationality returned. She thought for a mont, then asked: "So can I just hide sowhere and not move at all? If no one finds , I can survive till the end as the longest-lived person."
The staff: "......"
Unspoken bewildernt overflowed, yet they answered her: Are you dreaming?
Mu Qiu knew this was pretty much impossible and didn’t expect an actual answer. She reached into the pockets of her work pants, felt around, and pulled out three different colored stickers, gray-textured like scratch-off lottery tickets.
"??? This is," she held the three stickers up to the cara, expressing her speechlessness, "do I have to scratch off my lifespan? I can’t even know how long I have left to live?"
The comnt section responded on behalf of the staff with a "hahaha".
[If you scratch off a ’Better luck next ti’, that would be sothing]
[After struggling all the way only to find out you have only half an hour to live / After struggling all the way and finding out you have the longest lifespan without needing to snatch, that’s the worst experience I can imagine for this episode]
[This episode is more interesting, much better than the previous one]
[The last episode was to make a na for itself, to express that it was expensive, popular, and aweso]
[Keep going! I want to see Brother Cheng face mountain paths and fire seas!]
[Let ask again, is there a pool scene? If not, I’ll ask again later]
[Hahaha, those who chose A! Wanted to see a pool show but ended up in a competitive category!]
[I just want to know what C is]
[I can’t wait any longer to see them all together in a fight scene!]
[So excited, so thrilled, so wonderful! Sisters, let’s imagine together]
[Did I finally choose the most intense episode? Not seeing Yangyang soaked in water is fine too!]
[Brother is coming this way!!! Map mode is on!]
The staff reminded her she couldn’t scratch off the stickers yet. Mu Qiu examined them for a while but couldn’t tell how long she had left, so she stuffed them back in her pocket, then looked up again at the rusty train carriage a few ters away.
"Has it slowed down?"
The clattering of the train slowed a bit, the carriage with the open door could linger in front of her for a good twenty seconds.
This freight car, used to carry (coal, stones, all of the country’s needs), had half its iron doors removed, revealing empty tal inside. If the train speed was low enough, it wasn’t impossible to climb aboard.
Mu Qiu counted the train’s back-and-forth passes, planning to climb up when it slowed down to a near stop.
But how could the cara allow her to stay still? Just as the train speed slowed a bit, a group in tight vests and pants suddenly ran out from a post-apocalyptic battlefield of ruins, shouting slogans, "Ho ho ha ho ho ha," strolling on the platform like kicking off a party inside a corporate building.
A group of energetic youngsters.
Mu Qiu watched them as they ran to her, greeting her in a cool and cocky manner.
"Get ready, it’s about to begin. Nonself faction little girl, you must keep up."
After speaking, they laughed at her.
Mu Qiu glanced at her clothes, her vest quite like theirs, just without tight pants.
Luckily, no tight pants, otherwise a tear from jumping the train would be inevitable.
She followed behind them, ready to run and jump, and when the carriage ca to them again, she sprinted to the edge of the platform at the whistle of one of the lively youngsters, then leaped!

Whoa, jumped so high!!!
