Qiao Mianmian would pet the fat orange cat every time she came to Mother Bai’s place. Mother Bai knew that she liked cats, so she got the servants to bring the cat over for her to pet.
Although Qiao Mianmian was accepted into the Bai family, she had her own family after marrying Mo Yesi.
Hence, she didn’t return to the Bai residence often.
Mother Bai was especially happy every time she came.
“Yes, Madam.” The housemaid smiled and went to the kitchen.

Only then did Mother Bai believe her.
Although she was happy to see her daughter, Mother Bai still asked worriedly, “Why are you back? Is something wrong?”
