Mabel nodded, her eyes reflecting the sa unease that gnawed at Cain’s insides. "Yes," she replied, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "It’s... unsettling, to say the least."

"We need to find out more about him," Cain said, his tone resolute. "We can’t afford to ignore this."

Mabel nodded in agreent, her gaze unwavering. "Agreed," she said. "But how do we proceed? We don’t even know where to start."

"We’ll seek guidance from the Watchers," Cain suggested, his voice firm. "They are ancient beings, wise beyond asure. If anyone can shed light on Lucifer’s intentions, it’s them."

Mabel nodded in agreent, her expression grim. "And how are we going to do that, last ti that I checked, you are a target of their descendants, so they are likely going to refuse to help us if by chance we do manage to get to them?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

"Take your threats elsewhere," Cain spat, his voice dripping with contempt. "I have no interest in your petty power struggles even now more than ever. Now leave be, or suffer the consequences."
