"So that’s how it works..."

He looked back at the creature.

"You’re not one of my summons."

The Graveknit remained silent, waiting for him to continue.

Aiden rubbed his chin.

"That ans every undead I get from the gacha..."

"...is a real individual."

Not a temporary summon.

Not a puppet tied to his mana.

An actual undead being.

He looked at the Graveknit again.

"Let ask you sothing."

"Yes, my lord."

"If you die... can I resurrect you?"

The Graveknit didn’t hesitate.

It shook its stitched head slowly.

"No, my lord."

Aiden’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"If I die... I will die permanently."

The room fell quiet for a mont.

Aiden tapped his finger lightly against the armrest of his chair.

"So it’s like that..."

Summons could be restored.

But subordinates from the gacha?

They only had one life.

After a few seconds, Aiden looked back at the creature and shrugged slightly.

"Well, that just ans you shouldn’t die."

The Graveknit imdiately bowed its head again.

"This servant will do everything to serve my lord."

Aiden tapped the armrest of his chair slowly, thinking for a mont.

Then he looked back at the stitched undead standing in front of him.

"Graveknit."

The creature imdiately straightened.

"Yes, my lord."

Aiden leaned forward slightly.

"Then I’ll give you your first mission."

The faint blue flas inside the Graveknit’s eye sockets flickered as it listened carefully.

"I want you to gather information about our surroundings," Aiden continued. "Nearby towns, villages, roads, clans... anything worth knowing."

He pointed toward the window.

"I need to know what’s around us."

The Graveknit bowed deeply.

"As you wish, my lord."

It didn’t ask any unnecessary questions.

It simply turned around and walked toward the door with stiff but steady steps. The stitched bones of its body creaked faintly as it moved.

When it reached the door, it paused briefly and bowed once more before leaving the room.

A few seconds later, the sound of its footsteps faded into the hallway.

Aiden was alone again.

He leaned back in the chair and opened the gacha system once more.

The circular interface floated in front of him, glowing softly.

"Alright," he murmured.

"One more."

He pressed the pull button.

1,000 Gold Coins deducted.

The gacha wheel began spinning again.

Dark energy gathered at the center, swirling faster and faster as runic symbols flashed across the interface. The light grew brighter until the entire circle looked like a vortex of black mist.

Then suddenly.

The spinning stopped.

A new result appeared.

Dark mist imdiately began to form in the room again.

The air beca colder.

Aiden sat up slightly, watching with interest.

The mist gathered several steps away from him, slowly taking shape.

First ca the bones.

But these bones were thicker than those of normal skeletons.

Then dark muscle-like tissue ford over the bones, not real flesh, but sothing that looked like hardened necrotic fibers. It wrapped tightly around the skeleton’s fra, giving the creature a powerful build.

Finally, black armor slowly ford over its body.

The armor looked ancient and battle-worn, covered with deep scratches and faint runic carvings.

When the mist finally faded, a tall undead warrior stood in the center of the room.

It was almost as tall as Vayne.

Its body was powerful and broad-shouldered, built like a veteran soldier who had seen countless battles.

Two faint blue flas burned inside the empty eye sockets of its skull.

In one hand, it held a massive two-handed cleaver-like blade, the tal dark and chipped as if it had been used to butcher countless enemies.

The undead warrior slowly knelt.

"My lord."

Aiden’s system screen appeared again.

Aiden slowly stood up.

He walked toward the kneeling undead warrior, studying it carefully.

The creature’s armor was dark and cracked, yet it looked incredibly sturdy. Faint necrotic veins pulsed beneath the armor plates like black lightning.

Aiden stopped in front of it.

The newly summoned undead warrior remained kneeling in the middle of the room, its massive cleaver resting against the floor. The dim lantern light from the walls reflected faintly off its cracked black armor.

Then the Carrion Knight lowered its head slightly.

"My lord," it said in a deep, steady voice.

The tone was respectful, like a seasoned soldier addressing a commander.

Aiden studied the creature carefully. Up close, the undead looked even more imposing. Its armor plates were thick and scarred, as if they had endured countless battles. Beneath the armor, the dark necrotic muscles flexed slightly whenever it moved.

The creature slowly rose to one knee, still keeping its head bowed.

Aiden folded his arms.

"I suppose you’re also around the level of a body tempering practitioner," he said casually.

The Carrion Knight didn’t hesitate.

"Yes, my lord."

Its voice remained calm and confident.

"My strength should be comparable to the strongest warriors of that rank."

Aiden nodded slowly.

"Good."

He walked toward the window and glanced outside. The town was quiet again, though skeleton soldiers were still patrolling the streets and wraith maids drifted through the villa courtyard like pale shadows.

Then he looked back at the knight.

"In that case, your duty will be to guard this town."

The Carrion Knight placed a hand against its chest in a soldier’s salute.

"This servant understands."

But it didn’t move imdiately.

Instead, it spoke again.

"My lord."
