Bone Shredder?

The imposing title certainly piqued Mo Ling’s curiosity.

Following Captain Su, they soon arrived at an entrance in front of a high wall.

The entrance extended deep underground. As they descended, Mo Ling realized it was a subterranean space, like an air-raid shelter.

It wasn’t a network of interconnected tunnels, but rather a large, bunker-style shelter capable of housing many people and supplies.

There was a whole other world hidden beneath this high wall!

Mo Ling had assud the outpost would be a building similar to the Seventh Monitoring Station, not such a concealed combat facility.

The group had just entered the station when an alarm blared.

’What’s wrong? Is it because of us?’

Mo Ling’s concern was quickly dispelled when a soldier rushed up to Captain Su in a hurry.

"Captain Su, the beast tide is here again!"

Captain Su said calmly, "They’re getting more frequent. Deploy as usual."

"Yes, sir!"

Captain Su ordered the soldiers behind him back to their posts. After making all the arrangents, he turned to Li Luo.

"I need to deal with the biological disturbance in the area. You can wait here for now."

He turned to leave.

But Li Luo stopped him. "Biological disturbance? Can I co and see?"

Captain Su thought for a mont, glanced at Block standing behind Li Luo, and nodded.

"You can, but you must ensure your own safety and not interfere with the other soldiers."

Li Luo quickly agreed.

Following Captain Su to an exit leading back to the surface, they found many soldiers already lined up in ranks, ready to go.

At Captain Su’s command, the soldiers broke into squads and ran out of the exit in an orderly fashion.

When Li Luo followed them out onto the surface, the scene that greeted them was of combat squads already skillfully surrounding and attacking various aberrations.

Now inside the high walls, Li Luo took out a recording device, preparing to docunt the biological rampage.

Captain Su rely glanced at it without stopping them.

Through the device, Mo Ling noticed sothing strange: the rampaging creatures were not all of the sa species.

One combat squad was besieging a calf-like creature with eight legs.

The creature looked small, but its strength was imnse. It sent any soldiers who got close flying, and was only hunted down by the squad after its legs were ensnared in a deployed trap.

Other soldiers held fishing-rod-like weapons. They splashed blue paint onto them, then cast their lines.

The end of the line suddenly unfurled into a large blue net, enveloping a duck-like creature in mid-air. The other soldiers seized the opportunity to attack.

There was another creature that looked like a carp, currently flopping about on the ground. It kept spouting water from its body, but it didn’t seem to have any effect.

This bizarre nagerie of aberrations had no two of the sa species. It was as if a zoo had left its gates open, and all manner of strange and exotic beasts had escaped.

The soldiers were clearly experienced in dealing with this situation. One by one, the rampaging creatures were quickly contained.

The chaotic battlefield was divided into smaller zones, where the soldiers skillfully surrounded and slaughtered the creatures.

Captain Su watched calmly from the rear, not making a move.

However, even after all the aberrations had been hunted down, Captain Su kept his gaze fixed on the forest behind them.

’Is there more?’

Sure enough, it wasn’t long before a creature squird out from between the trees, writhing up and down like an earthworm.

The earthworm creature’s body was covered in spiral grooves, and from the gaps in these grooves grew bright red human arms.

The arms struggled, grasping at the air as if people were trapped within the grooves.

Upon seeing the earthworm creature, the soldiers quickly backed away.

But the creature’s seemingly cumberso body suddenly contracted. Then, it shot forward like a bolt of lightning, sweeping rapidly toward several soldiers near the forest’s edge.

A human’s running speed was no match for the monster. The soldiers who couldn’t dodge in ti were instantly seized by the earthworm creature’s arms.

Before they could even cry for help, they were enveloped by countless arms. Like snapped sugarcane stalks, they were crushed and forced into the spiral grooves, leaving only a pair of their own arms exposed, waving and struggling ceaselessly.

Witnessing such a scene, even the most ntally fortified soldiers couldn’t help but flee.

The earthworm creature surged forward again, reaching for the retreating crowd.

But this ti, it would not succeed.

The mont Captain Su saw the creature erge from the forest, he had already charged toward it. By now, he was blocking its path.

He dashed to the creature’s side, ducked low, and in a flash of white light, all the arms on that side of the earthworm were severed at the base, leaving nothing but smooth cuts.

Looking closer at Captain Su, the weapon that had severed the creature’s arms was, astonishingly, his own claws!

Long, bony claws extended from the bandages on Captain Su’s fingers, seeping fresh red blood onto the wrappings.

The injured earthworm, however, showed no reaction. It turned its body and lunged at Captain Su with the arms on its other side.

But before they could reach him, Captain Su severed them all as well.

The earthworm creature seed to realize its arms couldn’t harm Captain Su.

So it began to contract its body again and, like a coiled spring, shot forward to ram him.

Captain Su crossed his arms in front of him, and two sharp plates of bone suddenly erupted from his forearms.

Although the impact forced him back several steps, the sharp bone spikes also pierced the earthworm creature’s body.

But the creature, seemingly impervious to pain, suddenly shot its arms forward from its main body and seized the unprepared Captain Su.

A cage ford by its body and countless arms trapped Captain Su tightly within, leaving him no room to breathe.

The arms squeezed inward with imnse force, on the verge of crushing Captain Su and pressing him into its spiral grooves.

But just then, beads of blood appeared all over Captain Su’s body as countless bone spikes burst through his skin. Like a porcupine, he deeply impaled the earthworm creature’s flesh.

The crimson arms were snapped by the thick, long bone spikes, and the earthworm could no longer restrain Captain Su.

His ribs shot out, pinning the earthworm creature in place. Captain Su freed his hands, and the bone plates on his arms rapidly extended, forming a pair of white bone blades half as tall as a man.

He brought the bone blades down viciously. Like slicing through soft clay, they split the earthworm creature in two.

The earthworm creature fell heavily to the ground, and the twisted arms clutching a captured soldier slowly loosened their grip.

The bones in Captain Su’s body slowly retracted, leaving only torn bandages and wounded flesh.

He gasped for breath, his eyes fixed on the earthworm creature’s corpse on the ground.

Just when everyone thought it was all over...

The spiral grooves on the creature’s corpse suddenly expanded.

Then, the grooves continued to extend, and the two severed halves of the body actually transford into two identical earthworm creatures!

The resurrected creatures split to the left and right, closing in to attack Captain Su.

Faced with this situation, Captain Su had no imdiate counterasure. He could only leap backward, continuously dodging the creatures’ pursuit.
