The two of them argued endlessly, and Mo Ling couldn’t make heads or tails of the situation.

But this had nothing to do with him; he had only flown up here to watch the show.

The Flesh Race warrior was incredibly strong, wielding a small round shield in one hand and a one-handed hamr in the other.

He spun his body and with a flick of his wings, swept several Transparent Race people who were ganging up on him to the ground, leaving them unable to move.

Following the motion, he shoved his shield to the side, sending the Transparent Race mber it struck flying.

He then whipped around and brought his hamr down on the shoulder of an enemy trying to sneak up on him, instantly creating a deep dent.

This Flesh Race warrior was truly a formidable fighter.

He was also vastly experienced in combat, handling every situation with ease. His use of the shield and one-handed hamr was masterful.

In contrast, the Transparent Race People were clearly a disorganized mob. They fought without any strategy, only knowing how to mindlessly swarm forward.

Not to ntion they were all carrying fragile wooden weapons, which could even be snapped by a sweep of the Flesh Race warrior’s wings.

In fact, most of the Transparent Race People were cowering in the back, trembling, not daring to advance at all.

’This is a complete slaughter,’ Mo Ling thought.

The Flesh Race warrior who had been trading insults wasn’t affected by the fighting at all.

On the contrary, he kept shouting curses, his fighting growing more ferocious with every blow.

The chief of the Transparent Race finally realized sothing was wrong and hastily called a stop to the fight.

He had his people fall back, then requested to speak properly with the Flesh Race warrior.

It seed their feud wasn’t so irreconcilable after all.

It was an obvious stalling tactic, but the Flesh Race People actually fell for it.

Hearing the request to talk, the few Flesh Race warriors actually stopped their attack, standing their ground and allowing the Transparent Race People around them to pull back.

"You should’ve just said so from the start! What’s the big idea, ambushing us the mont we arrived?" one of the Flesh Race People retorted, not letting up.

The chief’s face darkened. Suppressing his rage, he asked, "What do you an, you say we captured one of your Flesh Race People?"

"We were out hunting, and you people suddenly snatched one of us. And you’re asking ** what I an?" the Flesh Race warrior said indignantly.

The chief looked skeptical. "Can you tell exactly what happened?"

The Flesh Race warrior holstered his weapon at his waist and began to explain:

"We were hunting outside, not far from your village."

"We were closing in on our prey when one of your people suddenly rushed out and grabbed one of our companions."

"We gave chase imdiately, and they fled in the direction of this village."

After hearing the story, the chief’s suspicion remained. He pressed, "What were you doing hunting right outside our village?"

"Is that any of your business?" The Flesh Race warrior looked impatient. "We were tracking our prey, and it ran over here. What were we supposed to do?"

The chief finally stopped pressing the issue and ordered one of his subordinates to go search.

Then he turned back and asked, "What did the person you saw look like? Are you sure they were from our village?"

"We didn’t get a clear look, just a silhouette running into your village. But you know we can sense that it was one of the Transparent Race."

The chief nodded and asked the Flesh Race People to wait.

Listening to their conversation, Mo Ling realized he had so misconceptions about the power struggles of the Underworld.

’I can’t believe two factions like this can actually communicate.’

And they wouldn’t just attack each other for no reason.

It seed that the kind of fight-to-the-death behavior only occurred among non-sentient creatures.

Sentient beings still had a basic instinct for self-preservation, knowing to minimize the losses of war. Or perhaps the two sides were currently in a truce.

A short while later, the subordinate returned and shook his head at the chief.

"We didn’t find the person you ntioned, and there are no Flesh Race People in the village."

Seeing this, the Flesh Race People were about to start cursing again.

Seeing the nacing attitude of the Flesh Race People, the chief relented. "If you don’t believe us," he said coldly, "you can search the village yourselves. But restrain your bloodlust."

"No problem." After agreeing, the group of Flesh Race People began to search the village with a swagger. The chief, apparently not trusting them, followed along.

Before long, the group of Flesh Race People ca upon Captain Su.

"Oh! Unfamiliar Flesh Race! Where are you from?" They suddenly beca very polite in front of Captain Su.

"We’re from sowhere else," Captain Su gave a non-answer.

But the Flesh Race warrior didn’t seem to mind and struck up a friendly conversation with the captain, showing none of the ferocity from the earlier battle.

"You have the scent of our attacker on you," the Flesh Race warrior suddenly said, midway through their chat.

"He has it, too." He suddenly pointed to the old man who had returned with the squad.

Seeing this, the old man frantically waved his hands, trying to show his innocence.

The chief, also confused, asked, "What exactly did you all encounter on your way here?"

At the chief’s question, the old man’s eyes instantly reddened, and he blurted out the entire story of their journey.

"The Sheep-headed Man?"

The chief was in disbelief.

Just then, the Flesh Race warrior added, "The Transparent Race person who attacked us also had the sll of mutton on them."

The group exchanged glances.

"It seems we’ve found the real culprit," Captain Su said.

Now that they knew what the culprit looked like, the chief and the Flesh Race People resud their careful search of the village. This ti, both sides were eager to find the perpetrator.

’Why would the Sheep-headed Man do sothing like this?’

Mo Ling was now even more puzzled by its behavior.

Its actions seed to have broken free from the rules of the Red Rope Worm and the Ugly Duckling Phenonon; it was starting to act on its own whims.

’Even if it was going to kidnap soone, why not a mber of the Transparent Race?’

Captain Su’s squad was also discussing this question, but they couldn’t co to a conclusion.

"Is it trying to fra them?" Captain Su guessed. "Kidnap a mber of the Flesh Race and bring them to a Transparent Race village to start a war?"

The theory wasn’t impossible, but it seed a bit too absurd.

’The Transparent Race is so weak, it would be faster for the Sheep-headed Man to just kill them itself,’ Mo Ling thought.

This Sheep-headed Man was becoming truly lawless.

Even Mo Ling himself could only sowhat restrain it.

If these weak Transparent Race People encountered it, they’d just be hunted down and killed.

Besides, Mo Ling didn’t believe the Sheep-headed Man’s intelligence had developed to the point where it could attempt such complex sches.

’It only just turned from a small lamb into the Sheep-headed Man. It couldn’t have gotten this smart so quickly, could it?’

According to the records, the Ugly Duckling only learned to ambush farm owners after they had repeatedly interfered with it.

Just as Mo Ling was pondering this, a sudden commotion erupted from the direction the Flesh Race People and the chief had gone.

"It’s in the Temple!" a mber of the Transparent Race yelled.

Hearing this, everyone imdiately rushed toward the Temple.
