Now reading: Chapter 93:Seal from I reincarnated as an elf .......and married the yandere villainess., a Fantasy novel by Blankeyed.

It didn’t sound good or comforting at all, the fact that it might have landed on their lap conveniently was also a problem.

Lilith frowned.

"How quickly," she asked

Zelpher passed her a docunt.

"It was already within our outer trade stores, catalogued, preserved with all the docuntation identifying the poison, its cure, and the suppressant’s effect ti."

Lilith looked through it her frown getting worse and worse. The docunts contained all the locations each suppressant had passed through or been found.

"When did it enter the kingdom?" She asked.

She pushed aside the docunts and her attention returned to him.

"Yesterday your majesty, but the docunts were signed a day before the banquet."

She nodded. At that ti, she was busy with Atheline, preparing herself, and just relaxing.

Even without saying it, it was clear at first glance that sothing was very wrong.

"Continue."

"The poison itself is extrely rare and expensive when bought," he said," the third kingdom restricts its circulation."

He paused then continued his voice lowered.

"For such a restricted poison to already be present and all the counterasures correctly identified..."

He let the words hang in the air because he didn’t need to complete it out loud, the reason was pretty self-explanatory.

Her gaze never left his but her hands were playing with her pen to keep herself grounded.

"Soone anticipated this," she concluded.

Zelpher nodded. "Yes, your majesty."

Her eyes went cold.

"How annoying, to be toyed with in my own kingdom," she grumbled," if I ever find this person, I will... haa."

She stopped and took a deep breath to calm down. Zelpher swallowed.

Lilith nodded towards him indicating for him to continue.

"With all this placent, " he carefully said," the perpetrator ensured that we would find everything on ti."

She didn’t look at him. Her gaze had gone back to the docunts she had pushed aside.

"Trace it," she said evenly.

"We have begun," he answered promptly," the records indicate it entered the elven borders through private channels."

Lilith frowned.

"I thought nothing illegal could be allowed in from across the seas," Lilith said.

She had placed a system where everything had to go through official authorisation and pay their taxes before goods could enter her kingdom.

The punishnt was severe for those who broke it.

There seems to be a problem in the system.

’Have I grown complacent in my rule’

Zelpher didn’t even know how to bring up what he was going to say next.

"It was fully authorised for entry, your majesty."

"By whom?"

Zelpher didn’t answer as imdiately as always. He glanced around at anything but her, this clearly irritating her.

"Speak."

He took a deep breath and his shoulders sagged in resignation.

"It was cleared under the crown’s seal, your majesty."

Pin drop silence.

The sounds of the waking market outside were the only sounds occasionally filtering into the room.

Lilith stared blankly at Zelpher. Her expression remained unchanged but under the surface, she was not as calm as she seed.

"My seal," she repeated.

"Yes, your majesty."

"That is not possible."

"It should not be," he carefully agreed," but the authorisation is genuine not forged."

Her eyes narrowed. Very few people can have access to her seal and only a fool would dare steal it.

The fact that it was used to allow such vile things was unacceptable to Lilith.

She started to filter people in her mind, moving from the outside of the list to the inside, especially those who had been near her but she couldn’t place a specific face.

Her mory moved to the next thing as possibilities floated in.

Everything seed to align a little too well that it shook Lilith.

The glass of wine was drunk without hesitation, her plan to leave earlier that day, the moon crystal locations, and too many unanswered questions.

"When was it processed?"

Zelpher checked his ntal records.

"The day before yesterday," he said," the goods ca with an express ship and were transported to the outer trade spots."

She clenched her fist, her nails cutting into her palm. Everything had been planned right before the banquet and it didn’t seem like it was put together hurriedly.

"And the information."

"It accompanied the shipnt," he said," it was extrely specific, detailed, and accurate."

"What in the moon is happening now," she murmured in resignation.

Zelpher paused for a while then continued.

"It reads less like a rchant’s notes and docuntation but more like a... physician’s instruction."

This sealed the deal on any doubt, everything had been fully prepared beforehand and they only needed to unravel one thing for them to connect the other dots one after the other.

Lilith lightly played with her pen.

"So you’re suggesting," she said the obvious since it felt unbelievable to begin with," that this was arranged."

Zelpher didn’t know how he was going to soften the blow so he just went with the hard mode.

"Yes, your majesty."

Lilith rubbed her temples, a headache seed to be starting.

"And the one who arranged it... "

He didn’t need to, not when it was pretty obvious. Lilith’s eyes fell closed as she started to reconstruct everything from the mont she rejected Atheline’s request.

His complacency in the knowledge of her leaving should have raised an alarm since he never asked again except to try and confirm when she was leaving.

She never told him.

He had taken the drink after ingesting the poison, then suffered through the pain without showing any sign of collapse, and then decided to leave early.

He had basically forced her hand in this matter. Even the poison cure was not picked randomly.

This ant that to keep him alive, she had to take him out of the palace.

Even though she hated the thought of taking him out to such a dangerous world she was helpless at the mont.

She shook her head in resignation her fingers uncurling.

"Atheline would never risk death lightly, " she said, almost fondly," he ensured his survival even during this situation."

Her eyes narrowed. She was definitely angry but she didn’t know how to even start unloading it.

"He really ensured I had no choice in this matter."

There was a form of certainty in her eye, the kind that only cos from knowing soone too well or being too well known.

"Your majesty..."

Zelpher tried to act, maybe a warning towards her or sothing else but he stopped himself.

He didn’t want to be fed to the beasts.

’This is madness you majesty’

From the looks of it, she had already moved past it.

"Prepare the suppressants, " she said evenly then continued," and the route."

"Yes, your majesty."

"No one speaks of this," she said," not the poison’s origins or the authorisation."

"Understood. "

If word of this ever spread the consequences would not be pretty.

The fact that the crown consort manipulated their almighty queen and the nobility as a whole would create a ruckus especially after he declared he’s only there for the queen.

He had basically sworn he wouldn’t try anything.

Lilith stood up and stretched. She walked past Zelpher while talking over her shoulder.

"If you need you can find in the main training ground."

She wanted to hit sothing to get rid of her anger before she could see her beloved.

Anger inhibits reasonable conversations, she didn’t need a screaming match with him.
