Jiang Huaiyue giggled and gave Shen Wuxiao a light smack on the chest. “You wish! Keep dreaming, you rascal.”

Shen Wuxiao grinned and took the opportunity to ask, “Yue’er, if I have a few more sisters in the future, will you be angry?”

He wasn’t shy about it. Shen Wuxiao had never imagined living with just one woman for the rest of his life. To him, life was about enjoying happiness to the fullest.

As soone who admired beauty—who sought it, appreciated it, and pursued it—he was destined never to miss out.

He didn’t care to play the hypocrite. Better to be an honest scoundrel than a fake gentleman.

If Jiang Huaiyue truly couldn’t accept it, he would help her adjust. The sooner, the better.

She stared at him, her expression serious. “Are you giving a preemptive warning?”

“Tell —how many won do you plan on having?”

Shen Wuxiao smiled shalessly. “Just being honest. Think of it as emotional preparation.”

“Now that we’re together, it’d be fake of to swear I’ll only love you forever.”

“I’m lustful, and I have a big heart. You might have a few more sisters in the future. But before that happens, I want to consider how you feel first.”

Surprisingly, Jiang Huaiyue felt a little comforted by his words.

At least this shaless man still cared about her emotions.

She had her own thoughts too. The way Shen Wuxiao had gotten her in the first place was extre, even outrageous. There would surely be more unexpected things in the future.

Besides, Shen Wuxiao had a high status—very high. Many won would willingly throw themselves at him.

Instead of letting so seductive woman take him away, it might be better to let a few trusted “sisters” keep an eye on him.

As long as they could get along, she could tolerate it.

“What if I say no?” Jiang Huaiyue asked, testing him.

Shen Wuxiao gave it a thought. “Then I’ll make you say yes.”

Jiang Huaiyue covered her mouth in mock disbelief.

So direct and shaless!

“Yue’er,” Shen Wuxiao continued, “I won’t make lofty promises. I know you’ve been wronged, but I can promise I won’t ss around. I’m very picky with won.”

“Pfft…” Jiang Huaiyue finally laughed. “You really are sothing. That’s the most refined excuse I’ve ever heard.”

“Don’t even bother asking if I agree—you’re just letting know. And you still act like you’re selective?”

Shen Wuxiao laughed along.

Jiang Huaiyue sighed softly. “Ever since I found out you were Shen Wuxiao, I’ve been ntally prepared.”

“As long as you hold in your heart, I’m okay. Jealousy just gives you headaches. If everyone gets along peacefully, I won’t say anything.”

“Besides… with just , sotis it’s too much anyway…”

Her cheeks flushed pink, and she shot Shen Wuxiao a shy glare.

“As long as you don’t forget the old one when you get a new one, I’ll go along with whatever. But if the others get jealous, I won’t be kind.”

Shen Wuxiao’s heart surged with warmth.

Jiang Huaiyue was truly a treasure.

“Don’t worry, Yue’er,” he said seriously. “You’ll never suffer any injustice as long as you’re with .”

“My woman will never be bullied in this life. Except by . If anyone else dares, I’ll wipe out their entire bloodline.”

His words were crude, but Jiang Huaiyue’s heart fluttered.

This man had many flaws—but when it ca to protecting his people, he never wavered.

She didn’t say anything more. She stepped forward, wrapped her arms around his waist, and gently kissed his lips.

Shen Wuxiao responded instantly.

The passion rose quickly, the room heating up along with their emotions.

At that mont, whether they were in a prison cell or not didn’t matter anymore…

After a night of heated affection, a new day began.

And it marked a major turning point for Lin Fan.

Following Liu Ruyan’s plan, Lin Fan executed the “rescue” operation.

Gao Yulang, the newly appointed top leader of Zhonghai, never imagined that soone of his status would be targeted for an ambush.

Most people wouldn’t risk sothing like this. The danger was simply too high.

But Lin Fan and Liu Ruyan had no other choice. For them, it was all or nothing.

If it succeeded, great. If it failed, Lin Fan could always run.

Liu Ruyan was thorough—she planned everything down to the last detail.

From the mont Gao Yulang stepped out of his house, he was being watched.

He had a eting in the morning, then lunch, and in the afternoon, he went with so developers to inspect the Zhengfu project construction site.

On the way, they passed through a tunnel—exactly where Liu Ruyan’s team launched the ambush.

There was no acting involved. Real bullets. Real injuries.

Lin Fan was arranged to approach from the opposite side, as if just another car passing through.

Then, he “accidentally” ca across the scene—and charged in to rescue them.

Once Lin Fan took action, the fight ended swiftly.

The attackers, arranged by Liu Ruyan, were quickly defeated. To make it even more convincing, one of them was shot.

Just like that, Lin Fan and Gao Yulang were officially connected.

Gao Yulang didn’t reveal his identity right away. But to show his gratitude, he invited Lin Fan to his ho.

Lin Fan felt uneasy. To him, using such dirty tactics was beneath his values.

But it was already done. He couldn’t undo it.

That evening, Lin Fan visited Gao Yulang’s residence.

The two chatted for a long ti.

Though Gao Yulang appeared to be expressing gratitude, he was also subtly probing Lin Fan’s character and background.

Lin Fan didn’t disappoint.

With his knowledge, confidence, and real-world experience, he quickly gained the man’s admiration.

It was all authentic.

He was well-read and articulate, and had clear opinions on everything. Speaking with a top figure was no issue for him at all.

By the end of the night, the two even seed like old friends.

Lin Fan’s charm had completely won him over.

Eventually, Gao Yulang revealed his true identity.

Lin Fan pretended to be surprised.

Before parting, Gao Yulang invited him to a grand banquet to be held at the Zhonghai Ziyang Trade and Exhibition Center in two days.

A young man with such talent and capability deserved more opportunities.

After leaving, Lin Fan called Liu Ruyan.

She answered quickly. “How did it go?”

“Mission complete,” Lin Fan replied calmly. “He treated like an old friend.”

“Good.” Liu Ruyan wasn’t surprised. She only said, “Get ready. The banquet is the day after tomorrow. There’s a high chance we’ll run into Shen Wuxiao.”

“Not guaranteed, of course. He’s never shown much interest in these events.”

“But if he doesn’t attend, it’ll be the perfect chance to et more people and build connections.”

Lin Fan wasn’t too fond of these kinds of events. As a warrior, he preferred action over politics.

But he had no choice.

“Got it,” he replied.

Liu Ruyan paused, then added, “If you do run into Shen Wuxiao… don’t act impulsively.”

“Keep a low profile. Don’t let him recognize you. And rember—the Haisha Society may also be watching.”

Lin Fan felt bitter and frustrated, but he nodded stiffly. “Understood.”
