Lin Fan had never in his life wanted to kill soone so badly.

Even on the battlefield, when facing enemies at the border, he had only fought with resolve and a sense of duty. But now, what he felt was different—it was pure, violent hatred.

“You killed my brother. You treated like a fool. You stole my woman and let others humiliate . Shen Wuxiao, if I don’t kill you with my own hands, I swear I’m not human!”

His teeth were clenched so tightly they nearly cracked. The humiliation burned like acid in his blood. He had been slapped in the face, crushed intellectually, and reduced to a joke.

He couldn’t wait any longer.

Tonight, there would be a bloodbath at the Bay Villa.

Just as Lin Fan was about to storm off, four officers in law enforcent uniforms stepped in and blocked his path. One of them held out his identification.

“Sir, you’ve been reported for threatening soone with a weapon. You need to co with us.”

Lin Fan froze.

Behind the officers, Li Fei—the man he had threatened earlier—strode over, pointing his finger at Lin Fan with self-righteous rage.

“You little bastard! Weren’t you acting tough before? You dared to threaten with a knife. What now? Still feeling brave?”

“I’m the CEO of Haisheng Group, Chen Qin! If you’ve got the guts, co get revenge on . Let’s see what you can do!”

Lin Fan’s eyes glinted with killing intent. He glared at him coldly. “Chen Qin, is it? Very well.”

The officer beside him scowled. “Is that a threat? Co with us. Now!”

Without further delay, they cuffed Lin Fan.

Lin Fan didn’t resist. He knew he would be released eventually. Did they really think soone like him—after years in the military—had no support or connections?

As Lin Fan was escorted away, Li Fei snorted and spat on the ground.

Just then, another man walked up to him and laughed. “Haha, Mr. Li, what’s going on? Can’t seem to stay out of trouble, can you?”

Li Fei turned, eyes full of disdain. “Chen Qin, if you’ve got nothing to do, stay out of my way.”

Li Fei’s Huafei Group and Chen Qin’s Haisheng Group had long been bitter business rivals. Their underhanded tactics against each other were infamous.

Li Fei had once planted a spy to pour boiling water on Chen Qin’s prized indoor tree, causing it to wither. In response, Chen Qin replaced Li Fei’s worshipped Mazu statue with Ultraman in secret.

Business war—childish but effective.

Lin Fan was taken to the Zhonghai First Branch police station.

He didn’t resist, nor did he create a scene. He calmly admitted to threatening Li Fei with a knife. His attitude was surprisingly cooperative.

Ordinarily, a warrior like Lin Fan would be transferred to the Martial Arts Association, which governed martial artists. But this ti, it was a legal matter. Though he hadn’t stolen or extorted anything, the knife threat was still a cri—classified as provocation and incitent.

So, he would be detained.

Typically, martial artists treated laws like suggestions—but this had crossed the line.

His belongings were confiscated, though he was still granted the right to contact a lawyer before detention.

Lin Fan took out his phone and first sent a ssage to a mysterious number, informing them of his current situation.

Then, he turned to the officer and asked, “Can I make a call?”

The officer nodded. “Sure, but we’ll be listening in.”

Without hesitation, Lin Fan called the contact labeled “Sikong”—and switched to speakerphone.

Lin Fan was calm now.

It wasn’t that he had no ulterior motive—he just preferred to face things head-on. He had always considered himself above backstabbing or sches. But since Shen Wuxiao was so shaless, so vile, he would trap him just this once.

This call was deliberate. He wanted Shen Wuxiao to confess—right now, right here, with law enforcent officers as witnesses.

If Shen Wuxiao said the wrong thing, his fate would be sealed.

The phone rang a few tis.

Then, Shen Wuxiao answered casually, “Brother Lin Fan, what’s the matter?”

Lin Fan’s face darkened, but he held back his emotions.

“Shen Wuxiao, drop the act.”

“Act?” Shen Wuxiao chuckled. “I never said I wasn’t Shen Wuxiao. You’re the one who trusted too easily. Honestly, I’m curious—how did soone like you beco the Wolf King?”

Lin Fan’s veins pulsed.

“Shen Wuxiao, you’re vicious. You killed my brother. You deceived . I was blind to believe in you.”

He forced himself to stay calm, guiding the conversation carefully.

Shen Wuxiao sighed. “Brother Lin Fan, don’t be like that. Your brother wanted to kill . I just defended myself.”

“But between us, I always planned to kill you too—my good brother.”

The law enforcent officers nearby stared wide-eyed.

Shen Wuxiao?!

They exchanged looks, then awkwardly turned away—pretending they hadn’t heard anything.

Lin Fan misread their reactions and thought they were shocked. Pride crept into his heart.

He pressed on. “So it was you who leaked the news of my brother’s death to ?”

“Yes. It was ,” Shen Wuxiao admitted without hesitation.

“Then you got close to , and led straight to the young master of the Haisha Society. It was you who fired that sniper shot, wasn’t it?”

Lin Fan sneered inwardly. Not only was Shen Wuxiao a murderer, he had used guns—that would make things worse for him legally.

“Yes, it was . But I didn’t tell you to kill the young master of Haisha Society. That was all you.”

“You slit his throat. Brutal work.”

Lin Fan’s heart thudded. He had walked right into a trap.

The law enforcent officers turned their eyes to him in astonishnt. One even stepped out of the room.

Probably reporting the confession.

Shit!

But Lin Fan still tried to salvage it. “You’re insane. You even killed the entire Liu family!”

“You can’t escape justice, Shen Wuxiao. The law will catch up with you!”

There was silence for a few seconds.

Then, Shen Wuxiao burst into laughter. “Hahahaha! Brother Lin Fan, you’re too naive.”

“You think you can outsmart ?”

“Fine, I’ll say it clearly. I killed your brother. I killed the entire Liu family. And soon, I’ll kill you too.”

“What now? You want to arrest ?”

Lin Fan sneered. “It’s too late. Everything you just said was recorded. There are law enforcent officers here. I’m in the bureau. You’re finished.”

Shen Wuxiao laughed again. “Really? So now you’re forcing to go to the station myself?”

“Don’t worry, I won’t bother. I have better things to do—like spending the night with my precious Yue’er.”

“Take care of yourself. Don’t die on .”

“I want to cut off your head and preserve it in formalin. As a specin!”

“Hahahahahaha!”

With a final burst of wild laughter, Shen Wuxiao hung up.

Lin Fan was filled with fury.

But the satisfaction returned to his face. Shen Wuxiao had admitted everything. The officers had heard it all.

He looked at them with confidence and said coldly, “You all heard that. He confessed to multiple murders.”

But when he turned to look at them…

He froze.

At so point, the lead officer had put on headphones—and was nodding along to a loud song blaring through them.

It was “Phoenix Dances in the Sky.”
