In Lucia Town, Junna gritted her teeth, her patience wearing thin.
"You still haven’t found him?" she whispered furiously, her eyes sharp as daggers.
The hooded scout standing before her shrunk back slightly.
"But... we haven’t seen any black-haired humans in Lucia Town, Lady Junna."
Junna clicked her tongue.
"Useless. Our information led us here!"
She crossed her arms, her tail flicking in irritation. The latest reports from the Yumia Town guards had pointed Hazuki’s trail in this direction...
"You all continue searching. I’ll find more information about him."
The scouts nodded and waited for orders.
"He’s a registered adventurer. If he ever set foot in any Adventurer’s Guild, they’ll have records of his location. I’ll handle that part. The rest of you—find any information you can. Soone must have seen him. We can’t afford to fail. Marquis Reynard won’t be pleased."
The group straightened and saluted.
"Yes, Lady Junna!"
With that, they scattered into the town, while Junna turned her sharp gaze toward the Adventurer’s Guild. If Hazuki was out there, she was going to find him—no matter what.
Junna walked amongst the crowd, blending in with practiced ease. She was dressed in a tight black suit—perfect for moving unseen in the shadows. But as she approached her destination, her entire appearance shifted.
In a quiet alleyway, she swiftly changed into an elegant noble dress, complete with a finely embroidered capelet draped over her shoulders. A delicate veil partially covered her face, enhancing her noble air. In re monts, she was no longer Junna, the shadowy operative—she was now Charlotte, a refined and stunning noblewoman.
With graceful steps, she entered the Lucia Town Adventurer’s Guild.
The mont she stepped inside, all eyes turned to her. The clatter of mugs, the chatter of adventurers—everything seed to pause for a brief second as her noble presence commanded attention. Even the roughest adventurers instinctively straightened up at the sight of her elegance.
The guild receptionist, a well-trained professional, imdiately adjusted her posture and greeted her with a polite bow.
"Welco to the Lucia Town Adventurer’s Guild, Lady...?"
Junna, now Charlotte, smiled gracefully.
"Just call Charlotte."
The receptionist nodded, maintaining her formal tone.
"Lady Charlotte, it is an honor to have you here. May I inquire about the nature of your visit?"
Charlotte let out a soft, refined chuckle.
"Actually, I ca here personally to request a certain adventurer’s assistance. I believe your guild offers private commission services, correct?"
The receptionist nodded imdiately.
"Of course, Lady Charlotte. Private requests for specific adventurers can be arranged. May I ask for the na of the adventurer you wish to hire?"
Charlotte brought a gloved hand near her lips, pretending to be deep in thought.
"Ah, yes... His na is Hazuki. A human adventurer."
The receptionist bowed politely before turning to a glowing crystal orb embedded in the desk. She placed her hand over it, channeling a small amount of mana. The orb flickered to life, displaying shimring golden text in the air—a magical registry of all adventurers in the guild’s system.
She scanned through the list, her eyes carefully searching for the na. After a few monts, she nodded.
"Yes, we do have a registered adventurer by that na. However..." She hesitated. "It seems he hasn’t checked in at our guild. His last known activity was at a different guild."
Charlotte hid her smirk behind an elegant smile.
"I see... Then, may I trouble you to check where he last registered?"
The receptionist bowed slightly.
"Of course, Lady Charlotte. Please allow a mont to retrieve the information."
As the receptionist continued searching, Junna maintained her noble facade, but inside, excitent bubbled within her.
"Pardon , Lady Charlotte," the receptionist spoke carefully, "but may I ask what kind of request you wish to make for this specific adventurer, Hazuki? According to our records, he is a low-ranked adventurer, still newbie rank."
Charlotte maintained her elegant composure, offering a soft, refined smile.
"Oh, it’s nothing too complicated. My husband specifically requested for him."
The receptionist tilted her head slightly. "May I ask what kind of skills this adventurer possesses that would be of interest?"
Charlotte let out a light chuckle, tilting her head playfully. "Ah, it’s not about skills, really. My husband simply wishes to repay him—Hazuki once saved him from a bandit attack."
The receptionist blinked, montarily surprised. "Oh? If that’s the case, why didn’t he report it to the guild? Acts of heroism often contribute to an adventurer’s rank."
Junna smiled gracefully, the perfect image of a refined noblewoman. But inside her mind.
’This bitch is asking too many questions. Just give his damn location already!’
Still, on the outside, she remained Lady Charlotte—the elegant, beautiful, and gentle noblewoman.
"My husband said the sa thing," she replied with a soft chuckle, "but this adventurer, Hazuki, is quite humble. When we tried to reward him, he simply brushed it off, saying it was just ’part of his journey as an adventurer.’"
She sighed wistfully, as if reminiscing about a noble act. "That’s precisely why my husband insisted on finding him—to properly thank him."
The receptionist gave a polite nod. "I’m sorry if I ask too many questions, Lady Charlotte. I hope you understand—it’s standard guild procedure."
Junna maintained her perfect noblewoman smile, though inside, she was already grinding her teeth. ’Yeah, yeah, I get it. Just hurry the hell up and give his damn location!’
"Don’t worry, I understand." She let out a gentle, noble-like chuckle. "Now, can you please tell his..." She paused briefly, keeping her poised expression intact, "...whereabouts?"
The receptionist nodded. "If you can wait a mont, I’ll check now."
Junna’s smile remained unchanged, but inside, she was screaming. ’Finally!’
"Are you sure you want this newbie-rank adventurer, Lady Charlotte?"
’YES!! How many tis do I need to tell you, bitch?! Just give his damn location already!!!’ Junna scread internally, barely holding back the urge to grab the woman by the collar and shake the information out of her.
But on the surface, Lady Charlotte remained the very picture of elegance, her serene smile unfaltering. "Yes."
The receptionist nodded and turned to the glowing magic orb on the counter. "Let’s see... His last recorded location was... Hmm..."
Junna clenched her fists beneath her dress, fighting the urge to snap.
"...Oh, found it! Hazlin Town Adventurer’s Guild."
"Junna — no, Lady Charlotte — gave the receptionist one last graceful nod. "Thank you for your assistance. I must excuse myself. Can’t wait to tell my ’husband’ about this."
With an elegant turn, she strode out of the Adventurer’s Guild.
Once outside, she maintained her composed walk, walking down the bustling streets of Lucia Town until she reached a quieter alley.
The mont she was sure no one was watching—
"Ugh!! I HATE that bitch!!!" She kicked a wooden crate, sending it crashing against the alley wall. "I really wanted to kill her!!"
Her eye twitched in frustration. "How many damn questions does one receptionist need to ask?! Just give the damn location and shut up!!"
Junna took a deep breath, slowly regaining her composure. She ran a hand through her hair, her frustration settling into cold determination.
Whatever. I have what I need.
"Hazlin Town, huh?"
