"Alright," Noah said finally, his tone still cold but no longer actively murderous. "Here’s what’s going to happen."

Sand looked up hopefully, recognizing that he might actually survive this encounter.

"You’re going to take to et your father within the next hours," Noah stated firmly. "You’ll explain the situation honestly, including the fact that I could have killed you but chose rcy. You’ll negotiate the partnership you ntioned, with all terms favorable to . And you’ll make it clear to your father that attempting revenge would result in your entire family’s destruction."

"Yes, absolutely," Sand agreed imdiately.

"Second," Noah continued, "you’re going back to Master Tanaka’s dojo with right now. You’re going to apologize to him and every single student personally. You’re going to offer compensation that they find acceptable. And you’re going to do it with genuine contrition, not the fake apology of soone who got caught."

"I will," Sand promised.

"Third," Noah’s voice dropped to deadly serious, "if I ever hear that you or anyone in your family has hard Master Tanaka, his students, or anyone connected to that dojo again, I will kill your entire bloodline. Father, cousins, distant relatives, everyone. Do you understand?"

Sand nodded vigorously despite the pain. "Completely understood. We will never touch them again."

The Eye of Apollo confird truth in all his statents.

Noah stepped back, giving Sand space to stand. "Get up. We’re going back to the dojo now. You’re going to make this right, and then we’ll discuss the details of your family’s partnership offer."

Sand struggled to his feet, his body aching from the beating and mana exhaustion. But he was alive, and that was more than he’d expected five minutes ago.

As they walked toward the warehouse exit, Sand spoke quietly. "Thank you for sparing . I won’t forget this rcy."

"Don’t thank yet," Noah replied coldly. "You haven’t fulfilled any of your promises. If you fail to deliver on what you’ve offered, rcy will be the last thing you receive."

They headed back to their vehicles, an uneasy alliance ford through overwhelming power differential and pragmatic survival calculations.

Noah had gained potential access to a billion-dollar fortune and knowledge about Earth’s hidden magical community.

Sand had gained his life.

Whether this arrangent would hold long-term remained to be seen, but for now, both parties understood exactly where they stood.

When they arrived back at the dojo, Noah pushed open the door to find that Master Tanaka had returned. The elderly instructor sat in a chair in the main training area, bandages wrapped around his face and visible bruises marking his arms and exposed skin.

Many of the other students were also present, sporting their own bandages and injuries. They had clearly gone to the hospital, gotten checked out and patched up, then returned to the dojo rather than going ho, waiting for Noah to return.

The mont they saw Sand enter behind Noah, the entire room tensed. Several students imdiately moved into defensive formations, their bodies instinctively preparing for another attack despite their injuries.

"Wait," Noah said firmly, raising a hand. "He’s here to apologize and make restitution. Nobody attacks unless I say otherwise."

The students hesitated but held their positions, watching Sand with undisguised hatred and fear.

Sand stepped forward, his swollen face showing genuine contrition as he bowed deeply toward Master Tanaka. "Master Tanaka, I sincerely apologize for my actions today. I ca seeking Noah Carter and resorted to unacceptable thods. I hurt you and your students to force information. That was wrong, and I take full responsibility."

He straightened slightly, though his head remained bowed. "I am prepared to accept whatever punishnt you deem appropriate and provide whatever compensation will make this right."

Several students muttered angrily, clearly unsatisfied with re words.

One of the younger students who had been beaten particularly badly stepped forward, his face set with determination. "I want to hit you. You beat unconscious when I tried to protect Sensei. I want the sa chance."

Sand nodded without hesitation. "I accept."

The student didn’t waste ti. He walked up and delivered a solid punch to Sand’s face, followed by several more strikes to his body. Sand stood there and took it, not defending himself, allowing the student to extract his revenge.

When the student finally stepped back, breathing heavily but looking sowhat satisfied, another stepped forward. Then another. Four students in total took their turns beating Sand, venting their rage and humiliation through physical violence.

Sand absorbed it all without complaint, his face becoming increasingly battered and bloodied, but he never cried out or tried to defend himself.

The remaining students, however, declined physical revenge. They looked at each other, then at Sand, and one spoke for the group.

"We want compensation. Money for dical bills, lost training ti, and the trauma of being attacked in our own dojo."

Sand nodded imdiately. "I will give each of you five thousand dollars. Cash, delivered within twenty-four hours. Is that acceptable?"

The students exchanged glances, then nodded with grudging acceptance. Five thousand dollars was substantial enough to feel like genuine restitution while also being imdiately useful for their needs.

Throughout all of this, Master Tanaka had remained silent, watching with his one unbandaged eye. When Sand finally turned to him specifically, the old master simply shook his head.

"I don’t want anything from you," Tanaka said quietly, his voice carrying dignity despite his injuries. "The fact that my students received justice and compensation is sufficient. I need nothing for myself."

But Noah wouldn’t have it.

The image of Master Tanaka hanging limp in Sand’s grip, bloodied and beaten for refusing to betray Noah, burned in his mind with white-hot fury. His ntor, the man who had taught him discipline and technique, had suffered because of him.

Money wasn’t enough. Apologies weren’t enough.

Before anyone could react, Noah strode forward, grabbed Sand by his hair with brutal force, and kicked the back of his knee.

Thud!

Sand collapsed to the floor with a grunt of pain, forced into the exact position he’d put Tanaka in earlier.

BAM!
