22: Chapter 22: Hello, Brother Fei!
After finishing the sandwich and fried egg made by Li Ruyan, Lin Fei returned to his room, fully satisfied.
Feeling idle, he sat on the sofa, though he hoped to establish his own space in this city.
However, starting out is always tough.
He decided to find a job in the coming days.
He couldn’t keep living in Li Ruyan’s villa, eating and drinking for free; such behavior was too shaful for a man like him.
Moreover, he needed to quickly return those marriage contracts.
He found his travel bag and pulled out the marriage contracts, the top one being a contract written by Master Yuan Hong to his grandfather.
The envelope listed Yuan Hong’s address as 86 Jinxiu Avenue, Huadu City.
Alright, let’s return this marriage contract first.
Lin Fei tucked Yuan Hong’s marriage contract into his chest and placed the others back in the travel bag.
Then he left the villa, and as he reached the courtyard, he saw the bodyguard, Brother ng, coming over to greet him warmly from a distance: “Brother Fei, heading out again?”
The other bodyguards around couldn’t understand why Brother ng, who normally only deferentially obeyed President Li Ruyan, was being so respectful to soone as ordinary as Lin Fei.
But since Zhang ng was their leader, if even he showed respect to Lin Fei, they also ca over politely, addressing him as Mr.
Lin.
Unexpectedly, Zhang ng reprimanded them: “What Mr.
Lin?
Call him Brother Fei!”
The other bodyguards looked at Zhang ng with puzzled expressions, silently wondering if Brother ng had gone stupid from the sun exposure earlier.
Yet, fearing Brother ng’s usual authority, they still greeted Lin Fei respectfully: “Hello, Brother Fei!~~”
Lin Fei suddenly felt like he was so kind of mafia boss, which was quite odd.
“Okay, hello everyone.
If there’s nothing else, carry on with your work!” Lin Fei said indifferently.
“Yes, Brother Fei.” The bodyguards, eager to be done with the humiliation of being so deferential to Lin Fei, quickly left.
Zhang ng, however, stayed behind with a fawning smile, asking Lin Fei, “Brother Fei, where are you off to this ti?”
Lin Fei suddenly thought of sothing and asked Zhang ng, “By the way, Zhang ng, do you know where 86 Jinxiu Avenue in Huadu is?”
Zhang ng imdiately looked at Lin Fei with astonishnt: “Brother Fei, what are you going to do at 86 Jinxiu Avenue?”
Lin Fei replied, “I’m going to see Master Yuan; he was a close friend of my grandfather.”
Zhang ng seed to see Lin Fei in a new light, saying, “So Brother Fei’s family and the Yuan family are old friends, no wonder Brother Fei is so extraordinary, dashing and impressive, clearly soone of great importance.”
Lin Fei felt at a loss: what was all this about?
“Thanks for the complint.
So, could you please tell how to get to 86 Jinxiu Avenue?” Lin Fei asked.
Zhang ng quickly replied, “86 Jinxiu Avenue in Huadu City is more famous than the city governnt building itself.
Just leave the community, hail a taxi, and tell the driver you want to go to 86 Jinxiu Avenue, and he’ll take you there.”
Although Lin Fei didn’t understand why Zhang ng described 86 Jinxiu Avenue as more famous than a governnt address, he refrained from asking further to avoid another endless explanation from Zhang ng.
“Okay, thanks a lot.” Lin Fei thanked Zhang ng before leaving the villa courtyard.
Once Lin Fei left, the other bodyguards gathered around, puzzlingly asking Zhang ng, “Brother ng, that guy isn’t any big figure.
Why did you call him Brother Fei?”
“Yeah, and made us call him Brother Fei too!”
Zhang ng couldn’t seem to respond to the bombardnt of questions from his team, his face turning red with embarrassnt.
Finally, with a long sigh, Zhang ng revealed the truth: “Do you know why an hour ago I stood motionless in the courtyard for two hours?”
One bodyguard answered, “Brother ng, what’s there to guess?
Weren’t you sunbathing?
I know you want to tan your skin to look healthier.”
“Yeah, Brother ng, you said you were sunbathing.” Other bodyguards nodded in agreent.
However, Zhang ng shook his head lancholically: “No, that was a lie.
Actually, Lin Fei sealed my acupoints, and I couldn’t move.”
“What?”
“Brother ng, did you say your acupoints were sealed and you couldn’t move?”
The bodyguards were stupefied.
Zhang ng solemnly nodded: “Do you rember after Lin Fei shook hands with , he patted my shoulder?”
The bodyguards recalled, and one exclaid in a shocked tone, “Was that when he sealed Brother ng’s acupoints?”
“Exactly.” Zhang ng continued: “I was unable to move and could only bake in the sun for two hours until he returned and released my acupoints with a palm strike.”
The bodyguards finally understood why Zhang ng had pleaded for forgiveness from Lin Fei upon his return—it was to have his acupoints unsealed.
Such a deep ploy.
It’s terrifying to think deeply about.
At the sa ti, they were awed by Lin Fei’s unassuming yet potent thods which left Zhang ng utterly humiliated.
Fortunately, they hadn’t offended Lin Fei, lest the consequences be unimaginable.
They felt relieved but also feared, silently agreeing that they would treat Lin Fei with the utmost respect as if he were their master.
Lin Fei walked out of the villa community; since it was quite a distance from the bustling streets, taxis were hard to find.
He had to walk to a place where he could hail a taxi.
Around three or four hundred ters from Lin Fei, there were so buildings, with a black rcedes parked at the entrance of an alley.
Zhao Wenxuan sat in the passenger seat wearing a white suit, while the driver was a man with a buzz cut, sunglasses, a cold deanor, and an aura of chilliness.
Watching Lin Fei in the distance, Zhao Wenxuan’s eyes were filled with gloom and anger as he spoke coldly: “Indeed, this guy is living in Ruyan’s villa.”
“Young Master, this guy doesn’t seem special at all, yet he dares to compete with you for the Li family’s young lady; truly reckless.” The cold, hoarse voice of the man with sunglasses in the driver’s seat responded.
“Leng Feng, find an opportunity to make sure he never appears beside Li Ruyan.” Zhao Wenxuan said with a sinister tone to the man with sunglasses.
“Young Master, should I deal with him now?” the man asked.
Zhao Wenxuan raised his hand: “No, don’t touch him for now.
I lost a bet with him at the Li family last night; if sothing happens to him now, Li Ruyan will definitely suspect .
We’ll wait a few days.”
“Yes, Young Master.” Leng Feng replied.
Following this, the black rcedes parked at the alley drove out, heading in the opposite direction from where Lin Fei was walking.
