"Yang Lang, you went too far just now. No matter what you think of Yang Xiao, he's still Adoptive Father's biological son. We're indebted to our adoptive father; how could we attack his own son?"

In a separate courtyard of the Yang Mansion, Yang Xiong reasoned with Yang Lang.

"Brother Xiong, that brat is despicable! He didn't just refuse to admit he was wrong, he even said we were all just servants of the Yang Family, with no right to speak to him. I lost control for a mont and attacked him. It's a good thing you showed up when you did, Brother Xiong. Otherwise, I would have made a terrible mistake."

Yang Lang wore a look of lingering fear.

Inside, however, he was sneering. 'As long as I keep this big oaf placated, I'll sneak into that waste's courtyard tonight and kill him!'

Yang Lang was sowhat wary of Yang Xiong, because his adoptive brother's strength was no less than his own, and his defense was even more terrifying.

Furthermore, he possessed Innate Divine Strength. If they were to truly fight, he feared he would be no match for him.

However, this oaf had a weakness: he was stupid.

"Did that kid really say that?"

"Of course. Otherwise, why would I have lost my composure and attacked him? He is, after all, Adoptive Father's son, the young master."

Yang Lang looked the picture of innocence.

"Alright. I'll keep an eye on the kid for the next few days. When Adoptive Father returns, I'll tell him about this too. I imagine he won't be too harsh on you," Yang Xiong comforted him.

He hadn't believed that Yang Lang truly wanted to kill Yang Xiao in the first place. Now, hearing him say this, he instinctively believed him, and his heart grew even colder toward Yang Xiao.

It was true they were indebted to the Yang Family.

But that debt was to their adoptive father. That waste, Yang Xiao, had been a burden on him for so many years, and they had long since grown resentful.

And now, he was calling them servants. It would be strange if they weren't angry.

But unlike Yang Lang, even if Yang Xiong was angry, he wouldn't actually do anything to Yang Xiao. At most, he would just be cold to him.

The two talked for a while longer, and it was nearly nightfall before Yang Xiong finally took his leave.

As for Yang Lang, he took out a set of night-prowling clothes.

He planned to use the cover of darkness to go and kill Yang Xiao.

But before he could even finish dressing, a voice reached his ears.

"It's so late. Were you planning on coming to find ?"

Hearing this voice, Yang Lang's heart jolted.

He turned around.

He was stunned to see a tall, slender figure. The visitor was dressed in a cyan robe, his face calm and indifferent. Who else could it be but that waste, Yang Xiao?

'He actually ca? Is it a trap?'

Yang Lang's Innate Realm Spiritual Sense swept out.

He imdiately discovered that besides himself, Yang Xiao was the only other person nearby.

"So you really ca alone. It seems cultivating that Divine Power Secret Skill has made you bold. Or did you think I really wouldn't dare to kill you?"

Once Yang Lang was certain there was no ambush, killing intent instantly flared across his face.

"You really do want to kill ."

Yang Xiao's expression remained indifferent.

"It's a little late to realize that now, isn't it? Yang Xiong was there during the day, so you escaped once. But tonight, you're dead."

Yang Lang let out a savage sneer and lunged forward in an instant. The Innate True Qi in his body circulated rapidly as he once again swiped a claw toward Yang Xiao.

Cyan Wolf Claw.

His strongest killing move!

Tearing Heaven and Earth!

With this one move, Yang Lang had once killed a 2nd-Layer Innate Grand Martial Master.

Today, however, he was using it against Yang Xiao, a person he had always considered a waste.

This showed the intensity of his killing intent.

'Die! Once you're dead, everything that's yours will be mine!' Yang Lang's thoughts grew frantic.

But then, he faltered.

'No, I can't kill him. If I kill him, how will I get the Divine Power Secret Skill...?'

As this thought arose, Yang Lang held back so of his power. But at that very mont, Yang Xiao moved.

He raised his hand.

And pointed a finger.

As he pointed, all Yang Lang saw was a pillar of fla, so red it was almost orange, shooting toward him.

The Red Fla was condensed like a spear, its form like a pillar.

It was terrifying.

The mont it was unleashed, it exuded imnse pressure.

His instincts scread at him to dodge.

But it was too fast.

There was no way for Yang Lang to dodge.

He could only desperately use every last shred of Innate True Qi in his body to protect himself.

'He's just a waste, he can't kill ...'

The thought had barely ford in his mind when his expression changed drastically.

Because the instant they made contact, Yang Lang felt that the red pillar of fla was filled with a destructive aura.

He couldn't block it.

He couldn't block it at all!

'This waste, how could he...?'

But before the shocked thought could even fully form, he completely lost consciousness.

He was pierced through by the red pillar of fla and, in an instant, burned to ash.

Not only that, but the red pillar of fla, its montum unchecked, blasted through the roof and shot straight into the clouds.

It was a long while before it finally dissipated.

"Not bad. The power is impressive. My preparations weren't in vain after all."

Yang Xiao's face was a little pale.

Controlling such a powerful attack had clearly taken a great toll on him.

Ever since the conflict with Yang Lang during the day, he had intended to kill him. But while Yang Lang's intentions were vicious, his strength was no joke.

A First-Layer Peak Innate Grand Martial Master, his combat prowess was comparable to that of a 2nd-Layer Innate Grand Martial Master.

With Yang Xiao's current strength, he might not have been a match for him in a direct confrontation.

Therefore, from that mont on, Yang Xiao had been preparing.

He had spent the better part of the afternoon preparing.

During that ti, he had been constantly absorbing the Fire Elental Power between heaven and earth, continuously storing up energy.

Only when he could barely accumulate any more power and was on the verge of losing control did he co here.

As expected, the power he had accumulated over the afternoon did not disappoint him.

He had unleashed that single strike, directly turning Yang Lang, an expert of the Innate Realm, to dust.

Allowing Yang Xiao to eliminate a hidden threat.

"That Yang Lang truly was an ungrateful wolf. Good thing I struck first."

Glancing at the night-prowling clothes on the bed, Yang Xiao snorted coldly and left.

'If I hadn't decided to kill him today and made the first move,' he thought, 'I'm afraid I would have been the one to suffer in a little while.'

So, he was very satisfied with having killed Yang Lang.

Not long after he left, Yang Xiong ca barreling over with his burly fra.

When he saw the residual ashes on the ground, the lingering aura, the night-prowling clothes on the bed, and the giant hole in the roof, his heart trembled.

"What happened? Could it be… Is Lang dead?!"

At this thought, Yang Xiong's heart filled with imnse pain.

At the sa ti, he recalled the clash between Yang Lang and Yang Xiao during the day.

'Yang Xiao, was it you? No… with Yang Xiao's strength, it would be impossible for him to kill Yang Lang. Nor could he have unleashed such a terrifying strike. Could it be… Adoptive Father?'

Yang Xiong didn't know why he would even think that.

But the more he thought about it, the more he felt it must have been Adoptive Father, or soone secretly trained by him, who had acted.

Otherwise, how could Yang Lang have died right after the two of them clashed during the day?

'Adoptive Father, is Yang Xiao really that important to you? Just because of one offense from Yang Lang, you would have him killed?!'

Yang Xiong didn't want to believe it.

But when he thought about how much Adoptive Father had cared for Yang Xiao over the years, he felt it was the only possibility.

This caused him imnse pain.

He collapsed onto the ground.

'If it really was Adoptive Father, then...'

He didn't dare to think any further.

It was as if his very soul had left him.
