Wherever the cyan-blue Ice God's Blade passed, the very air seed to condense into fine crystals of ice.

The Ice God's Blade arrived in an instant, piercing into the Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede's purple eye.

The Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede's body suddenly went rigid. Its tentacles, which had been thrashing about like frenzied vines, froze for a split second. Then, a horrifying shriek erupted from its mouth. The sound waves were a sharp, clamoring assault, so piercing that one couldn't help but want to cover their ears.

The Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede's one hundred tentacles writhed even more frantically.

A thin layer of frost spread around its tightly shut purple eye. It wailed in agony, its tentacles lashing out everywhere with a series of loud THWACKS.

Wherever the imnse force passed, the compressed air let out a series of ear-piercing sonic booms.

Each ti the long, thick tentacles fell, they swept up great swaths of black mud.

The black mud billowed, and the ground itself seed to be torn asunder.

With a single sweep, one of the tentacles batted the dark Energy Ball away. It flew like a falling star, speeding toward a distant mountain peak.

With a deafening BOOM, the massive mountain peak exploded, a dazzling mushroom cloud rising in its place.

The earth shook with a great RUMBLE.

When the dust settled, the massive mountain peak had vanished.

'What a terrifying Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede,' Hong Yu thought, relieved. 'If that last attack had hit ...'

'Thank goodness I didn't get impulsive and try to match the Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede's strength.'

'Otherwise, I'm afraid that mountain's fate would have been my own!'

Hong Yu frowned, his gaze fixed on the still-struggling Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede. 'As expected of the most troubleso Tier Three Desolate Beast. How is it still holding on this long after being hit by my Ice God's Blade?'

'Thinking back to that day...'

'Even a beast as powerful as the Evil-Devouring Ghost Bear lost its life to the Ice God's Blade.'

'This Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede's tier isn't any higher than the Evil-Devouring Ghost Bear's. In fact, aside from its incredible Life Force, it's actually a bit weaker.'

'But the strength of its Life Force is truly astonishing!'

"Let send you on your way!"

Pushing off the ground like a coiled spring, he shot high into the air, leaping a full twenty to thirty ters.

The Breaking Army Spear appeared firmly in his grasp.

With a slight flick of his wrist, the Breaking Army Spear let out a long hum.

Hong Yu tapped his foot on the empty air. A surge of Elental Power gathered beneath it, propelling him forward with explosive force. He shot toward the Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede like a dazzling teor. His right arm thrust forward with all its might, the Breaking Army Spear becoming an extension of his limb. A sharp, pulsing Spear Aura enveloped him as he moved in for the kill.

"ROAR!"

The Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede suddenly snapped its purple eye open.

At this mont...

Trickles of erald-green blood rolled down from the purple eye, a jarring and hideous sight.

Its purple eyes had taken on a sickly green hue.

Its venomous, enraged gaze locked onto Hong Yu. Faced with his powerful and piercing attack, it launched a counterattack of its own.

Seventy or eighty tentacles shot toward Hong Yu, blanketing him like a dense rain of arrows.

However, the Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede was far too weak now. Though the Ice God's Blade hadn't completely annihilated its life signs, it had severely wounded its Soul. If not for its tenacious Life Force, it would have collapsed long ago. At its peak, the beast could have contended with Hong Yu.

But as for now!

"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"

The Spear Aura pulsed, and with every flicker, it severed one to several tentacles.

His montum was unstoppable!

In an instant, Hong Yu had carved a path right up to the Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede.

A flicker of fear appeared in the Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede's purple eyes. Hong Yu registered the beast's terror and sneered, his arm suddenly lashing out. Channeling even more power, Destruction created dozens of spear afterimages, a dizzying, shadowy flurry like Falling Petals.

"Die!"

A cold light glinted in Hong Yu's eyes; this strike was ant to pierce the Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede's head.

However, at that critical mont, a chill ran down Hong Yu's spine as a warning scread wildly in his mind.

"Not good!"

Hong Yu cried out inwardly, forced to abandon his original attack. He spun to evade, the rotation carrying the Breaking Army Spear with it like a vicious drill. With a WHOOSH, the hurricane-like Montum of the spear pierced through the Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede's head.

"ROAR!"

The Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede let out a pained roar.

"PFFT!"

But Hong Yu had already burst out from its back, tearing through its flesh.

At the sa ti, a black ray of light flashed past the spot where Hong Yu had just been. It was incredibly fast—even faster than Hong Yu using his Wandering Dragon technique at full power.

More importantly, the power of this black light was imnse!

"BOOM!"

Having lost Hong Yu as its target, it bored directly into the Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede's body.

An explosive power erupted from within the Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede.

The dozens-of-ters-tall Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede exploded violently, shredded to pieces by the onslaught of black light.

The powerful shockwave sent Hong Yu flying, and he plumted toward the ground.

"Rising Dragon Fist!"

Hong Yu smashed a fist toward the ground. The recoil absorbed the impact, slowing his descent and allowing him to land steadily. Still, the blood and qi in his body roiled.

He scanned his surroundings, his gaze grim and sharp as a blade. "I am Hong Yu, a True Disciple of the Cyan Nether Sword Sect. Might I ask who you are? And why did you attack without provocation?"

That last attack was incredibly insidious.

If he had dodged even a fraction of a second later, he would have likely shared the Hundred-Legged Demon Centipede's fate.

Judging by the attack's terrifying destructive power and precision, it was easy to deduce that the ambusher was incredibly strong. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to remain hidden from him. Facing an expert lurking in the shadows, one who was likely his equal in strength, Hong Yu didn't dare let his guard down for even a mont.

"I actually failed to kill you? Alas, what a pity!"

A sinister voice echoed from a dozen directions at once.

The voice was strange, possessing a cold, abyssal quality that sent a shiver down the spine just from hearing it. The fact that it ca from a dozen directions at once only added to the eerie effect.

"Who are you?"

Hong Yu remained on high alert, scanning his surroundings.

"Here."

His Cyan Eyes instantly caught a glimpse of a black shadow.

However, the black shadow vanished in a flash—not by fleeing, but by bizarrely dissipating into thin air.

"PFFT! PFFT! PFFT!"

Several sharp black glints shot through the air again.

His body moving like a Wandering Dragon, his feet treading the Seven-Star pattern, Hong Yu dodged aside.

In the spot where he had just been standing, three viscous, black, saliva-like globs landed. The mont they touched the ground, they began to SIZZLE, corroding and consuming the earth. In the blink of an eye, three ten-foot-deep pits appeared where he had stood.

'This person's thods are too bizarre. I can't just wait to be killed. I have to go on the offensive.'

Hong Yu frowned in thought.

But the ambusher in the shadows was simply too bizarre and mysterious.

"PFFT! PFFT! PFFT!"

Several more attacks descended from the sky.

These attacks were incredibly cunning and malicious. Their angles and speeds were exquisitely coordinated, cutting off nearly all of Hong Yu's escape routes and leaving him only one specific direction in which to flee.

Faced with this situation, Hong Yu knew he couldn't let his opponent continue to lead him by the nose.

But his opponent's ambushes were growing more frequent, their thods too difficult to counter. How could breaking this pattern be easy?

Hong Yu had just executed a desperate roll to dodge a dozen ters away when the PFFT sound rang out six tis in succession, practically on his heels. Along the path he had just taken, six pits now smoldered with black smoke. Inside each, a dark energy continued to corrode the earth.

Hong Yu gasped for breath, a flicker of anxiety in his eyes. 'It seems like they're trying to herd sowhere... Dammit, I can't keep letting them control the initiative...'

At that mont, six more attacks shot through the air. "Heh heh heh, run! Why have you stopped running?"

"Get lost!"

With a face full of rage, Hong Yu threw a punch, and a Fire Dragon materialized.

However, when the usually invincible Elental Power Fire Dragon touched the black energy, it let out a puff of green smoke and was completely corroded into nothing.

It all happened in the blink of an eye!

'Damn, this stuff is that powerful? It can even corrode Elental Power?' Hong Yu was inwardly shocked.

But the situation gave him no ti to think, as the five remaining attacks were already upon him.

Hong Yu fled frantically.

The sneak attacks followed him relentlessly.

Hong Yu was so angry he could have spat blood. "You bastard, if you have any guts, show your face and fight!"

The person in the shadows remained unperturbed, sneering, "Aren't you the First True Disciple of the Cyan Nether Sword Sect? Heh heh heh, how did you end up in such a pathetic state?"

"Dammit. Just you wait until I get my hands on you. I'll kill you for sure," Hong Yu muttered, curling his lip in frustration.

With a nimble shift of his feet, he once again put dozens of ters between them.

But the instant his feet touched the ground, a whistling sound suddenly ca from his side. Hong Yu's heart skipped a beat. It was already too late to dodge. A black shadow shot out from the mountain forest beside him, smashing toward him with a fist as heavy as a mountain.

Hong Yu hastily raised his arm to block.

The fist struck his arm squarely.

"CRACK!"

With a sickening CRACK, Hong Yu's arm twisted at an unnatural angle. The single blow had shattered the bones in his right arm.

"Damn it..."

Hong Yu was sent flying. He tumbled across the ground several tis before staggering back to his feet, his cold eyes fixed on the figure that had appeared.

It was a man completely wrapped in a black cloak, staring at Hong Yu with a pair of ghostly green eyes and a cold smile. "Tsk, tsk. To think that didn't kill you outright. What a sha!"

"Who the hell are you?"

Hong Yu was shaken to the core. This black-robed man gave off a sinister and extrely dangerous aura.

The black-robed man grinned. "Who am I? Why don't you guess!"

"There's another one? Get the hell out here..."

But Hong Yu ignored him, his gaze fixed on the space behind the black-robed man.

"Tsk tsk, worthy of the First True Disciple indeed. To think you could discover my presence!"

The sound of crisp applause rang out as Elder Luo, clad in a Sword Robe, slowly erged from the shadows.

Hong Yu's expression tensed. "It's you?"

"It is I!"

Elder Luo gave a cold smile and glanced complainingly at the black-robed man. "I said we should have just killed him directly and saved ourselves the trouble. But you insisted on playing your little cat-and-mouse ga. A complete waste of ti."

"Heh heh heh, don't you find it amusing, watching him flee for his life, rolling in the mud, scrambling across the wet ground?" the black-robed man said sinisterly.

Elder Luo shook his head. "Can we kill him now?"

"Mm. The cat-and-mouse ga has gone on long enough. I'm tired of it. It's ti for the kill!"

The black-robed man nodded.

The mont the words fell, he and Elder Luo, as if by prior agreent, attacked Hong Yu simultaneously from the left and the right.

Facing the pincer attack of two powerful experts, Hong Yu, his right arm grievously injured, was plunged into the most difficult battle of his life...
