In their later conversation, Fuxi also learned that sir was heading to Yunfu Mountain to find a cultivator nad Zhao Yuqing.

“Zhao Yuqing…”

Fuxi thought for a mont and said, “I feel like I’ve heard that na sowhere before.”

“Zhao Yuqing’s na is known throughout the entire Cultivation World, so it’s normal that you’ve heard of it,” Chen Changsheng said.

Fuxi shook his head and said, “It wasn’t just hearing about it, I think. Sir, let rember…”

Chen Changsheng paused for a mont. Could it be more than just hearing?

Suddenly, Fuxi looked up and said, “I think I saw that na on so stone monunt.”

Chen Changsheng blinked and said, “Stone monunt?”

“Sir, please follow .” Fuxi nodded, stood up, and walked towards the forest of stone monunts behind him.

Chen Changsheng saw this and stood up to follow.

There were many stone monunts and platforms on Baxia’s back, so piled up like a rocky hill.

Fuxi saw Chen Changsheng looking at the monunts and said, “These monunts are from many years ago. Baxia likes carrying heavy things when he walks, and I enjoy writings. So we found so heavy items, thinking stone monunts were best. I could carve writings on them now and then. Over ti, we ended up with all these.”

Chen Changsheng glanced around the area. He found that the stone monunts on Baxia’s back were especially large in number. With just one look, he counted hundreds.

Chen Changsheng scanned the monunts in front of him. So had old writings, covered in moss that made them seem ancient. Others were new, as if just placed there.

His eyes moved slowly from one to another.

So were carved with place nas, like “Lingyue Immortal Isle” or “Two Hardships Mountain.” Others had more writings, like one with only the word “Suppress” on it, mixed with a bit of Dao Essence inside, maybe used in the past to hold down evil things.

“Found it!” Fuxi called out.

Chen Changsheng stepped forward and looked at the monunt under Fuxi’s gaze.

The monunt had several lines of words: “With this monunt as proof, I, Zhao Yuqing, swear an oath today. I leave ho to face a life-or-death trial. No matter if I fail or succeed, I will follow my Master for every life, even a hundred deaths wouldn’t change that, I’d never regret it.”

Chen Changsheng stared at the words and froze in surprise.

Did Zhao Yuqing have a Master?

“There are words on the back too,” Fuxi said.

Chen Changsheng walked around to the back of the monunt and looked again.

Two words were carved there: “Southern Garden.”

Chen Changsheng saw them, and a small light shone in his eyes.

“Southern Garden?”

He rembered. The house in Yu Xuan’s tomb was also called Southern Garden.

Fuxi asked, “Is that the sa Zhao Yuqing you ntioned, sir?”

Chen Changsheng nodded and said, “It should be him.”

In what was said or unsaid, this made him think about many things.

Back when they t at Autumn Moon Market, Chen Changsheng knew from Zhao Yuqing’s words that he must have t Zhao Yuqing and Yu Xuan hundreds or thousands of years earlier, and it seed there was so trouble between them.

Yu Xuan had been waiting for him, and that house in the tomb was nad Southern Garden.

‘It might be about being Zhao Yuqing’s Master…’

Chen Changsheng thought about that possibility in his heart, but he quickly changed his mind.

Zhao Yuqing made such a serious oath on that monunt. If he was truly his Master, Zhao Yuqing wouldn’t have been so cold the last ti they saw each other.

Then who was Zhao Yuqing’s Master?

Chen Changsheng thought to himself. Maybe he could ask that when they t, and perhaps find out sothing useful.

“Sir, if this monunt helps you, feel free to take it,” Fuxi offered.

Chen Changsheng ca back to the present and said, “Let’s leave it here for now.”

Fuxi didn’t push the matter further, asking instead, “Sir, why do you care so much about this Zhao Yuqing? Is there trouble between you?”

“It’s not really trouble,”

Chen Changsheng said. “I just have so things I want to ask him, that’s all.”

Fuxi nodded and said, “Then it shouldn’t be a problem.”

As he spoke, Fuxi handed a conch shell to sir.

“Sir, please take this with you.”

Chen Changsheng looked at the offered conch and asked, “What is this?”

“If sir ever finds himself in danger, just blow this conch. Baxia and I will rush to you at once. But honestly, sir might not need it at all.”

Fuxi smiled weakly and said, “Baxia and I wanted to give you a powerful Magical Artifact or Divine Ability. But after searching hard, we couldn’t find even one thing good enough. So we settled on this conch instead.”

Chen Changsheng looked at the conch in his hand. He thought for a bit, then looked up and said, “Alright, I’ll accept it. Thank you.”

“Sir is too polite,” Fuxi said.

Chen Changsheng’s thought was that he could use it to ask for directions the next ti he visited the Desolate Sea. With Baxia around, getting anywhere would be much easier.

Fuxi said, “Why not let Baxia and I take you to Yunfu Mountain this ti?”

“Maybe next ti,”

Chen Changsheng said. “I’m in a bit of a hurry right now. If I’m late, things might go wrong.”

Baxia’s speed in the Desolate Sea was pretty good.

But compared to Sword Flight, it was slower.

Chen Changsheng guessed that his remaining ti was short, perhaps only days. If he delayed longer, he might not make it to see Zhao Yuqing.

Fuxi asked many tis to send Chen Changsheng, but sir refused every ti.

“Next ti I visit the Desolate Sea, I’ll co find you both,” Chen Changsheng said.

Fuxi felt sad about leaving, but in the end, he sighed and said, “Then we’ll wait for next ti, sir. When you co, I’ll invite you for a drink.”

Chen Changsheng nodded, then stepped onto his Flying Sword.

“I will go ahead now.”

“Safe journey, sir,” Fuxi said.

Fuxi stood by the stone monunt, watching sir go away on the sword.

Baxia raised his head, gazing at sir in the distance too.

“Roar…”

Baxia roared, as if saying goodbye to sir.

Once sir was out of sight, Fuxi lowered his head and said to Baxia, “Sir did say you’d have a chance for Dragon Ascension.”

“Roar?”

“To beco a dragon.”

“Roar roar.”

Baxia called out twice, as if asking, “Can I, a turtle, really beco a dragon?”

Fuxi smiled and said, “I didn’t expect it either. It seems anyone changed by sir’s Dragon Scripture might have a chance at Dragon Ascension.”

Baxia thought it over, feeling shock in his heart.

Fuxi said with a laugh, “This is a huge opportunity.”

Lingyue Immortal Isle sits on an Immortal Mountain in the Cultivation World.

Mist curls around it, and thousands of cultivators live in the mountains.

He Chongyang told the true monarch all he’d seen earlier.

Lingyue True Monarch heard this and suddenly understood. He said, “Are you sure both of those Great Demons had horns on their heads?”

He Chongyang nodded and said, “Exactly.”

Lingyue True Monarch fell silent.

After a mont, he spoke.

“I know who he is now.”

He Chongyang looked up and said, “True Monarch knows that cultivator?”

“His surna is Chen,”

Lingyue True Monarch said. “Have you forgotten what happened years ago? Today, the whole Dragon Clan owes a favor to soone.”

“That thing years ago?”

He Chongyang thought back. Suddenly, his eyes stopped moving.

“It’s him!”

He Chongyang felt deep shock. Everything made sense now.

That’s why those two Great Demons had co asking. That’s why they treated that Daoist Friend with such respect.

Of course…

He Chongyang seed a bit lost, murmuring, “So, he is that Mr. Chen.”
