The two could never seem to get along, and it felt like they had endless argunts.

Tao’er interjected, saying, “We should probably focus on figuring out where Mr. Chen went first.”

Moyuan and Hu Junhan exchanged looks, then turned their gaze towards the empty seat beside the Dragon Lord.

The Dragon Lord had reserved that seat for the Master long ago.

Those seated here were no ordinary Water Demons; without exception, they were either Demon Kings from various domains or dragon princes and princesses.

Everyone was curious about who that seat was ant for.

After the banquet began, discussions about the empty seat started.

“Who is the seat beside the Dragon Lord for?”

“Wasn’t that where the Dragon Princess usually sat?”

“I don’t know. There wasn’t a seat like that in previous years, I think.”

Just as everyone was full of curiosity.

Ying En, seeing the empty spot, felt curious too. She asked, “Father, who is that seat for? I notice everyone is quite intrigued.”

Second Prince Yingyuan opened his mouth but, after a mont’s thought, said nothing.

The Old Dragon King glanced at the space beside him and chuckled, “For one of your uncles.”

“An uncle?” Ying En blinked in surprise. “An uncle? Since when?”

She tilted her head. “So… where is he now?”

The Old Dragon King bead. “He’s already here, just hasn’t co inside yet.”

Yingyuan beside him froze.

Yingyuan asked, “Father, when did Mr. Chen arrive? Why haven’t I seen him?”

The Old Dragon King raised a hand. “Him? He’s currently in the outer hall, mixing with your eldest brother.”

“Eldest brother?”

Yingyuan looked montarily dazed.

The three seated nearby also overheard this.

Moyuan looked at Hu Junhan, and their eyes t, signaling mutual relief. It was good as long as the Master had co.

After all, the seat was already prepared. If he hadn’t co, it would have been quite embarrassing.

The Old Dragon King simply waved a hand. “Go fetch your unremarkable eldest brother. But if Mr. Chen wants to linger a bit longer, let them stay outside for now.”

Second Prince Yingyuan nodded. He then headed towards the exit.

anwhile, Chen Changsheng was chatting casually with Ying Tianze.

They mostly discussed Ying Tianze’s experiences and observations. Though considered unreliable, he was still the Eldest Prince. The status and privileges he enjoyed were exceptional, naturally granting him a broader perspective.

“The Great Demons in the Desolate Sea are bloodthirsty by nature,” Ying Tianze shared. “In such a lawless place, danger lurks everywhere, hidden deep. That ti I went with my father for a look truly left a lasting impression.”

Chen Changsheng replied, “I, too, have heard a little about the Desolate Sea. Few Cultivators even dare to attempt Sword Flight across it.”

“It’s just too vast.”

Ying Tianze continued, “That Desolate Sea stretches beyond sight. There are vast unexplored regions, endless strange Water Demons, even remnants from Ancient Tis.”

While they were talking.

Yingyuan’s figure appeared in the hall.

As he entered, it was like stars encircling the moon. Water Demons from all over raised their cups and approached.

“Greetings, Second Prince!”

“So this is the Second Prince! The Dragon’s Might is truly evident!”

“Who says dragons only give birth to dragons? Look at him!”

“A toast to the Second Prince!”

Yingyuan raised his cup, managing a polite but strained acknowledgnt.

“Yingyuan offers my toast to everyone.”

After exchanging a few pleasantries, the various Water Demons returned to their seats. They knew talking too much risked annoyance.

“It’s him! He ca out!”

Ying Tianze saw the situation turning worse. He quickly pulled Chen Changsheng beside him. “Help block a bit! If he spots , I’ll surely get dragged back in and scolded.”

Chen Changsheng chuckled. “So afraid of him?”

Ying Tianze sighed. “Who doesn’t know my father’s temper?”

He ducked his head lower. “Just stand in front of please.”

Chen Changsheng nodded. Positioning himself to shield Ying Tianze, he calmly helped himself to the dishes and wine.

Yingyuan scanned the hall, his gaze eventually landing on a figure clothed in a Blue Robe in the far corner.

Yingyuan’s heart leaped with joy as he approached. Then he spotted the hiding Ying Tianze.

His eyes also settled on Ying Tianze beside Chen Changsheng.

Yingyuan paused. He looked at Ying Tianze. “Eldest brother, what are you doing out here?”

“Huh?”

Ying Tianze acted surprised, lifting his head with confusion.

“Oh! It’s you, second brother!”

Ying Tianze clucked his tongue. “Too noisy in there. Thought I’d just grab a bite out here, avoid the commotion.”

“Father is looking for you,” Yingyuan inford him.

Ying Tianze froze; his chopsticks stilled mid-air.

Ying Tianze asked, “I’m usually not missed when I skip it. What’s different today…”

Yingyuan explained, “Today’s guests consist of Demon Kings. Father probably wants you to network.”

“Isn’t your presence sufficient?”

Ying Tianze waved his hand dismissively. “Ah, you go on ahead.”

Yingyuan sighed internally. His attention shifted back to Mr. Chen.

Ying Tianze rembered his manners. “Ah, right! This is my friend here. We just t. I brought him. A Cultivator from the Mortal World. He’s not an outsider.”

The words Yingyuan had been about to say caught in his throat.

Chen Changsheng offered a warm smile. “I greet the Second Prince.”

Hearing this, Yingyuan imdiately waved his hands frantically. “No, no, please don’t call that.”

He bowed deeply, his attitude one of imnse respect.

Witnessing this, Ying Tianze was stunned. He knew his proud brother. Besides in front of their father, he’d never seen Yingyuan act this deferentially to anyone.

Chen Changsheng stood up. “The Second Prince is too kind. I was just conversing casually with the Eldest Prince. I hope that’s not an issue?”

“Not at all,” Yingyuan replied politely. “But my father wishes the Eldest Brother to co inside. So this…”

Chen Changsheng spoke, “I will enter the hall with the Eldest Prince shortly. You need not worry, Second Prince.”

Yingyuan accepted this. “Very well. I shall leave you now.”

He turned to go.

Before leaving, he couldn’t resist glancing back at his visibly baffled elder brother.

Yingyuan suppressed a sigh and headed back into the main feast hall.

Only when Yingyuan had completely disappeared from sight did Ying Tianze gradually regain his composure.

He slowly turned his head to look at Chen Changsheng seated beside him.

Then he twisted to glance back towards the hall’s entrance.

Utterly bewildered, he finally blurted out, “Shouldn’t there be so explanation?”

Chen Changsheng replied calmly, “The Dragon Lord expects us inside.”

Ying Tianze stared at him, his mouth agape. “Who… what… are you? Why did my brother treat you with such respect?”

Chen Changsheng questioned mildly, “I rely had a past acquaintance with the Dragon Lord. I’m hardly so revered figure.”

“You… your surna… Chen?”

The realization hit Ying Tianze with sudden force.

He shot to his feet, staring at Chen Changsheng.

“You are surnad Chen!?”

Chen Changsheng nodded simply. “Weren’t you aware?” he asked, referencing their earlier introduction.

Ying Tianze swayed slightly on his feet. Only now had the crucial connection been made.

The person sitting beside him all this ti…

Was actually the Mr. Chen repeatedly ntioned by his father!

The ridiculous part? He hadn’t recognized him until this very mont!
