Li Yuanwei pushed the old woman away in disgust.

He looked at everyone: "Don’t listen to the words of this mad woman! The Moon Clan reveres won. How could an honest and sincere man like force her? For all these years, I’ve poured my heart and soul into the Moon Clan. Don’t you know my character?"

The villagers, thinking of how the Holy Daughter and the Priest had protected the village for so many years, couldn’t help but waver. After all, they were the most respected figures in the village.

Comparatively, Old Mrs. Cao and the Forbidden Nightmare seed like two mad dogs biting everyone.

Li Yuanwei looked at Yue Ya with contempt: "Back then, wasn’t it you who seduced ? I was rely delivering things to my sister, but you seduced ! You forced ! You lured to the grove; I refused. During the struggle, I scratched your face. You wanted to kill , and I accidentally killed you in self-defense!"

As soon as he spoke, the crowd was in an uproar.

"You’re lying! You’re lying! You scoundrel!" Yue Ya wanted to pounce on him and tear him apart, but in her spirit form, she could only appear within the white smoke area drawn by Josh, completely helpless.

She was so angry that the flesh on her face trembled, her whole body shaking as if she was about to pounce and bite the Priest into pieces at any mont.

Josh looked at him coldly: "Really? If it was just an accident, why cut off her limbs, gouge out her eyes, and cut off her tongue?"

"I..." Li Yuanwei was montarily at a loss for words.

Old Mrs. Cao was sobbing uncontrollably: "Beast... you beast! My daughter was blessed by the Divine Light of the Sea God when she was 10. Everyone in the village knew she was the most likely to awaken the Sea God!

I cared for her as if she were the apple of my eye. She drank dew from the flowers every day, wore the softest clothes. Her feet never touched a grain of sand, and her eyes never saw anything ugly or dirty.

Even the Holy Daughter at the ti held her in high esteem. Everyone in the village treasured her like a pearl. She didn’t even understand the feelings between n and won; how dare you slander her, saying she seduced you! How dare you?!"

The elderly in the village, hearing this, couldn’t help but sigh, as long-buried mories surfaced.

When Yue Ya was 10, she fell into the sea while playing.

Everyone thought she was going to die.

Unexpectedly, a brilliant blue light burst from the sea, and a water column shot to the sky, sending Yue Ya back to the shore.

Everyone believed it to be a manifestation of Lord Sea God.

It was from that mont that Yue Ya’s destiny underwent a profound change.

She was taken by the old Holy Daughter every day to learn the Holy Daughter’s teachings.

In the villagers’ eyes, she was already the chosen successor of the Holy Daughter.

All the villagers respected and adored her.

In the entire backward, old-fashioned mountain village, aside from the Holy Daughter, Yue Ya was the sole symbol of cleanliness and purity.

Unlike the gray, simple, and outdated village scene, Yue Ya always wore white clothing, her small face always rosy, and her voice perpetually clear and pleasant.

In the eyes of everyone, Yue Ya was like a white mountain flower blooming, radiant and innocent, blessed by Divine Light, and sacredly inviolate as God’s chosen daughter.

Old Mrs. Cao nearly fainted from crying: "No one could not love my little Yue Ya. She was so kind and innocent, even the butterflies and breezes in the mountains wouldn’t disturb her hair, you beast! How dare you slander her! How dare you!"

The young adults, who hadn’t experienced the sacred era of Yue Ya or seen the village gathering just to witness Yue Ya step out into the first sunlight of the morning, naturally couldn’t understand this.

They just wanted to roll their eyes.

A woman of high status and power had overpowered a man and then turned around to bla him.

In this female-dominated village, how could any man have the courage to overpower a woman?

Not only would they not dare think of such a thing, but even if they did, it certainly wouldn’t be the revered Priest!

Li Yuanwei sneered at Yue Ya: "You are the Forbidden Nightmare, and you’ve killed so many Sacrificial Girls in the village. Isn’t that enough to demonstrate your evilness? You yourself were once a Sacrificial Girl, and what about the result? You didn’t hesitate or hold back when killing those Sacrificial Girls, did you?"

His gaze turned cold and sharp: "What Holy Daughter? What God-chosen woman?! You are a monster through and through who kills without batting an eye!"

The villagers were stirred, looking at the Forbidden Nightmare with fear and disgust in their eyes.

"Enough!" Yue Xi suddenly shouted, stepping out from the crowd, her face stern and cold.

"Li Yuanwei, you beast! How much longer will you continue to pervert the truth?!" She trembled with rage, seeming to restrain so inner pain, her eyes filled with determination and madness, fixed intently on Li Yuanwei.

"Yue Xi..." The villagers were dumbfounded. Yue Xi had followed the Holy Daughter for decades and was, apart from the Holy Daughter and the Priest, the most respected person, also the most trusted by them.

Other won, seeing Yue Xi step forward, frowned with concern: "Yue Xi, what are you doing?! Co back quickly!"

"Don’t, Yue Xi..." So won even beca teary-eyed.

Li Yuanwei raised an eyebrow: "Yue Xi, what do you an by this?" His eyes bore an unspoken warning.

Yue Xi looked at him coldly: "Today, in front of everyone, I will expose your true nature, you scoundrel!"

"Yue Xi!" Li Yuanwei yelled, trying to drown out her voice: "Have you been bewitched by the Forbidden Nightmare too?"

Yue Xi looked at him coldly: "Besides , there are also the won behind —who among us haven’t been drugged and controlled by you? Turning against you ans death for us. If it weren’t for this, who would serve you so diligently?"

The won behind her couldn’t help but redden their eyes.

"Yue Xi..."

Yue Xi looked at everyone: "Let tell you all, your so-called revered Priest is just a hypocrite full of false piety! If he hadn’t sched to seduce the candidate for Holy Daughter back then, then later used forceful ans to defile her, today’s events would never have happened."

"Nonsense!" The Priest categorically denied it, looking at Yue Xi with heartfelt sorrow: "Have you lost your senses? Don’t let the Forbidden Nightmare corrupt your mind!"

Blood began to seep from Yue Xi’s ears.

"Yue Xi!" the won exclaid in panic, looking at her with concern.

Enduring her body’s pain, Yue Xi swept her cold gaze over everyone: "Can you see now? This is the fate of betraying the Priest and Holy Daughter. They have placed cruel curses on us, and disobedience results in bleeding from all orifices. Using such a vicious curse to control people, is this what you call revered?"
