Barrage: [...?]
Josh finished drawing the talisman paper, put it away, and pushed the door open to leave.
A few timid girls were standing at the door, their veils had long fallen off, and they were huddled together in fear.
Josh looked at them in feigned confusion: "What are you doing?"
"There’s a ghost in the house!" one girl shrunk back in terror beside her companions, then looked at her, "Isn’t there one in your room?"
Josh raised the talisman paper in her hand: "Yes, but it was scared away by this. I posted a couple on the door, I guess they won’t dare co over anymore."
"What is this? You have this in your room?" Hearing that the talisman paper in her hand could scare away ghosts, the girls couldn’t help but look at the item in her hand with eager curiosity.
Josh raised the object in her hand: "No, I just drew it."
"You can draw talismans?" one girl incredulously looked at her, the sa girl who was earlier speaking with Lulu.
Lulu hesitated while standing next to her: "Zhuang Ran, why don’t we ask her for one to try?"
Zhuang Ran nodded, walked over: "Hey, could you give us one?"
Josh smiled: "Sure."
The two girls’ faces lit up with joy, and they reached out to take one.
Josh stepped back, looking at them with a smile: "However, it’s ten thousand points for one."
"Ten thousand points?! Why don’t you just rob us!"
Barrage: [Am I crazy or is Josh crazy? She just spent a few minutes randomly drawing these things and dares to ask for ten thousand points each?]
[It’s this world that’s crazy.]
[If anyone buys these with points in the instance, I’ll eat shit standing on my head!]
[I think so too, how is that possible, it’s just treating people like fools.]
Josh wasn’t in a hurry to sell to them right away.
She just shook the items in her hand: "Thirty in total, while supplies last."
Anyway, this instance is full of resentnt, with plenty of places to get scared.
After a commotion, no one dared to go back inside the house.
The commotion attracted people from outside.
So college students here for tourism heard the noise and ca over with their phones.
Seeing so many girls dressed in strange clothing, they couldn’t help but start filming with their phones: "Is this so kind of performance activity?"
"Go back inside!" a voice scolded from not far away.
The woman in charge saw that many Sacrificial Girls had removed their veils and were seen by outsiders, her face darkened instantly.
She strode over, followed by several girls.
A few young n holding phones were startled.
The person in charge stopped in front of one of the young n, her gaze so cold it was creepy: "Did I not say, don’t co to the back boat house?"
The young man was a bit embarrassed, being told off in public, he stiffened his neck defiantly: "I paid money to co for tourism, why can’t I enter? This scenic spot only let us co because they used the na of selecting a Holy Daughter, didn’t they?"
The woman’s face was so dark it seed she might tear the young man apart at any mont.
She raised her hand, signaling the two won beside her to drag the young man out and into a thatched hut not far away.
The young man struggled desperately, even his feet leaving the ground, but he couldn’t break free, and once he was dragged into the hut, it soon beca silent.
This action startled everyone, and the remaining tourists were frightened, quickly putting away their phones.
All the tourists were driven away.
"Yue Xi, all the outsiders are gone," the little girl beside the managing woman said.
Yue Xi slightly nodded, expressionless as she glanced at those present, raising her hand to point: "Her, her, and her were seen by n without their veils, unclean, drag them away."
"Yes!" The won expressionlessly dragged away several Sacrificial Girls without veils, including one player.
Out of thirty Sacrificial Girls, four were dragged off.
Josh watched impassively as those Sacrificial Girls were similarly dragged into the thatched hut not far away, soon followed by screams and cries.
A mont later, everything fell silent.
The fate of that player was unknown.
Yue Xi looked at them expressionlessly: "To be selected as the Holy Daughter, purity is most important. I hope you understand this, an unclean body doesn’t deserve to live."
Josh didn’t speak, but it seed that not being seen by n was a key rule in this instance.
These people were quite strange...
She discreetly observed the won beside Yue Xi, noting their stiff movents and expressionless faces, which were very eerie.
If one person blinking infrequently was just a habit, it was very abnormal when she noticed nearly all the Moon Clan mbers were like this.
Unless... they didn’t need to blink, or they had forgotten a normal person’s blinking frequency.
Blinking once every 30 seconds to a minute is not normal behavior.
In the afternoon, all the Sacrificial Girls had to et the old Holy Daughter at the ancestral hall to receive their training tasks.
Everyone gathered at the door, led by Yue Xi to the ancestral hall.
Josh blended into the group, discreetly observing their surroundings.
Throughout their journey, they didn’t encounter any n, encountering almost entirely won.
Won were doing the dirty and hard work outside, won were working in the fields, and even the managers were won.
Yet there were children playing everywhere, which ant there must be n here.
Who knows where Yuze and the others had been taken.
Originally, they ca in to hone their teamwork, but now it was difficult to et.
Josh surveyed the surroundings unnoticed; this small mountain village was clearly in the mountains, yet everywhere had structures resembling boat houses, and in front were fishing nets, shells, and fish-head shaped tools.
It was more like a fishing village by the sea.
But with mountains surrounding on all sides, what’s the point of having these things?
This fishing village seed forgotten by ti, frozen in so distant era.
Everywhere were pebbles, polished to extre smoothness.
Even stranger.
In dense forests, where could pebbles co from?
The eerie and frightening atmosphere around them suggested unknown terrors might strike from the darkness at any mont.
Despite the forest being surrounded by mountains on three sides, an icy sea breeze and faint fishy sll pervaded the gloomy environnt, making one’s skin crawl.
Both the woman leading them to the ancestral hall and the passing villagers looked like puppets controlled by invisible strings, not only moving stiffly but also expressionless, with no sign of life.
Josh couldn’t help but think of the human-shaped lantern that had rolled out of Lulu’s room earlier.
To be honest, a human-shaped lantern appearing in such a place didn’t make much sense in the first place.
Josh looked up at the canopy, vaguely seeing various white, strip-like items hanging down, resembling things used during funerals.
This small village exuded an air of eerie mystery at every turn.
