Picking up his things, Lin Zheyu pushed open the window and leapt down.
Below, Liang Yunhui and Liang Yuhan had already packed up.
"Oh, Mr. Zhao, where are you all going?"
Lai Mao humd a tune, leisurely walking over from a distance. Seeing Lin Zheyu and the others, he asked in surprise.
Suddenly, a bad premonition rose in his heart.
He had just received Lin Zheyu’s promise, giving him hope of survival, and had cast aside his worries, going out to enjoy himself.
Unexpectedly, on his way back, he ran into the group making their escape.
Even a strong figure like Mr. Zhao was fleeing, which hinted at the formidable enemy they had provoked.
Instantly, Lai Mao’s mind raced.
His life was still in their hands. If he didn’t follow them, even if he managed to endure the poison when it activated, he would still end up dead.
Following them, however, was even more perilous.
If even Mr. Zhao had to run, getting involved as a re martial artist in the Qi Blood Four Transformations would only lead to death.
"Night walk."
Lin Zheyu said blandly.
The three of them didn’t glance at Lai Mao and dashed off into the night, disappearing in the darkness.
"Mr. Zhao, wait for ."
"The antidote, what about the promised antidote?"
Lai Mao hurried to catch up, saying anxiously.
"Here, this is a semi-finished antidote. It still needs Cyan Mysterious Grass, White Yuan Ginseng, Red Pepper... and a few other herbs."
"You can try to buy them on the black market. Whether it works or not depends on fate."
Lin Zheyu took a black pill from his bosom and tossed it over, speaking indifferently.
The one who crossed him was Lai Chang; he had almost no grudges with Lai Mao, who had been very cooperative these days.
He even taught him the interesting Reversed Chaos Forbidden Skill cultivation technique.
Seeing Lai Mao as sowhat pleasing, Lin Zheyu directly tossed him the semi-finished pill.
"Ah!"
Lai Mao caught the black pill, uncertain and hesitant.
He glanced at Lin Zheyu and the others, who were getting farther away, clenched his teeth, and rushed in another direction.
No, I can’t get involved, it’ll be fatal.
Now he could only trust in Lin Zheyu’s character, hoping that completing the remaining ingredients of the semi-finished pill would detoxify his body.
...
The night was deep.
A chilling wind howled.
The wind picked up tonight, and it seed it was going to rain.
Dark clouds gathered, covering the moon. Once out of the market, it was pitch dark.
As Lin Zheyu and the others dashed out of the inn, several shadows abruptly sprang from the surrounding darkness, chasing in their direction.
Among them, two people went in Lai Mao’s direction.
They were, after all, from a renowned family in Ruyang City, with many eyes from the Pei family in this market area.
...
...
The three moved at lightning speed, the cold wind whistling by their ears.
Xiaohei was awakened by a slap from Lin Zheyu, and Liang Yunhui lay on Xiaohei’s back, being carried swiftly.
If speed was concerned, Lin Zheyu was the fastest, followed by Xiaohei, and finally Liang Yuhan.
Liang Yunhui didn’t even need ntioning; she wasn’t in the Qi Blood Realm yet.
After the group dashed about six miles, Lin Zheyu frowned slightly.
"They’re coming so fast!"
Lin Zheyu was sowhat surprised.
When leaving the market, he sensed many trailing behind, but they were just low-level martial artists who shouldn’t have been able to keep up.
However, the current pursuers were incredibly fast, and kept closing in.
"Quite the impressive tracking skills."
Lin Zheyu mused.
Once out of the market, they headed into the mountain forest, using it as cover. Finding them was supposed to be challenging.
But the enemy had caught up quickly and accurately.
Lin Zheyu himself would be unable to achieve this.
After all, he hadn’t learned any tracking skills or undergone special training.
"You go on ahead. I’ll catch up soon."
Lin Zheyu said solemnly.
If he were alone, he could easily shake off those trailing him.
But now, with two burdens along, if he ran, Liang Yuhan and the others would be captured.
If they couldn’t find him, the Pei family would undoubtedly take their revenge out on Liang Yuhan and her mother.
Lin Zheyu halted, staring into the dark mountain forest ahead.
Behind him, Liang Yuhan and the others quickly vanished into the night.
They knew their own lack of strength, and staying would only be a hindrance.
Gulp gulp.
Lin Zheyu took a water bag filled with dicinal soup from his pack and gulped so down.
Better have so dicinal soup on hand. If the opponents are too fierce and the Qi Blood is depleted quickly, the Source Power can swiftly restore it.
The chilling wind blew.
The trees in the forest rustled.
Faint moonlight seeped through the thin clouds, casting a gentle glow.
Suddenly, a figure darted out, rushing toward Lin Zheyu, the heavy hamr in his hand swinging, producing a fierce whistling sound.
The Golden Scale Blade swung out, slicing through the dark forest with a dim silver light, shooting towards the oncoming hamr.
Clang~~
A crisp clash of tal sounded, a terrifying force transmitted from the opponent, sending Lin Zheyu flying backward.
Twisting his body, he borrowed so force from a tree, halting his movent.
"With just this much strength, you dare to provoke the Pei family? Do you think this is still your forr barbaric land?"
The attacker didn’t pursue him.
Standing not far away, the man looked at Lin Zheyu with disdain.
The man stood two ters three tall, with a build as mighty as a bear.
His muscles were knotted all over, bulging veins like steel rods winding around his body.
His right hand held a massive iron hamr, resting on his shoulder, exuding a wild and unrestrained aura.
"What powerful strength!"
