The jet-black hilt, the blood-red blade.
A cold gleam flickered faintly, akin to a lone star. Upon closer inspection, it was surprisingly the impossibly sharp tip of a sword.
This was none other than the Godslayer Blood Sword, once renowned.
The na ’Godslayer’ wasn’t its original na; it was rely because it was rumored to have drunk the blood of a Divine Transformation Great Power.
Luo Chen gazed at the object, feeling a bit hesitant in his heart.
At this point in ti, he was no longer the impoverished Qi Refinent Stage rogue cultivator of The Great River District he once was.
As a Nascent Soul True Master, he was surrounded by countless magic items.
But among the myriad of treasures, there were truly only three that could be seen by his Dharma Eye.
The first one, needless to say, was the Lifebound Magic Treasure Primordial Chaos Tripod that he had nurtured for a long ti. This treasure was inherently powerful and, having incorporated naless grey light and tribulation thunder force, once it advanced to True Device, it functioned with unmatched proficiency, phenonal in effect.
In terms of external combat, the Primordial Chaos Tripod could restrain and suppress with limitless might. In internal cultivation support, it could refine separated souls and perform pill refinent and tool casting. Especially in the latter, Luo Chen could, in a short ti, refine the Great Soul Pill and Hong Yuan Pill—apart from his superior pill refinent technique, the contribution of the Primordial Chaos Tripod was indispensable.
The second object Luo Chen cherished was the White Tiger Puppet.
Its battle power is enough to rival a Late Stage Nascent Soul, and mastering it would instantly an a great cultivator’s assistant for Luo Chen.
Originally, Luo Chen thought of mastering the White Tiger Puppet first; training in soul-splitting and learning Puppet Technique were all in preparation for this.
However, after much deliberation, Luo Chen suppressed this impulse for the ti being.
For nothing else, but the spiritual whiteness in that puppet was truly too powerful; given Luo Chen’s current soul strength, he might not be able to enslave it perfectly.
Even Han Zhan at that ti spent trendous effort, barely managing to wield it a little, but couldn’t fully unleash its power.
Luo Chen believed that in terms of soul strength and puppet technique prowess, he was still lacking compared to Han Zhan’s peak.
Moreover, refining this puppet would require ample space.
If he openly took it out at Little Qiong Mountain, which was soone else’s territory, it might stir up quite a bit of trouble.
Like recently, when he exchanged insights in a Dao discussion with Zhou Yunshen, that scene of their Nascent Soul clash must have caught the eyes of many interested parties.
Luo Chen temporarily didn’t want to reveal this trump card.
Thus, after so deliberation, Luo Chen directed his focus to the blood sword, which was by no ans weaker than the White Tiger Puppet.
"A true device capable of slaying a Divine Transformation Great Power; even if it’s not a spiritual treasure, it’s not much different."
"But unlike refining a spiritual treasure, which requires artifact spirit approval, this sword ultimately falls within the realm of true devices and can be forcedly refined!"
"Even if the refining fails and the spirit inside is destroyed, it won’t affect the sword’s power at all."
"Blood Nightmare Mo Luo, too, was an Initial Stage Nascent Soul cultivator. What he could achieve, I can certainly attempt."
"And if I once master this sword, my combat power will surely undergo substantial transformation!"
Luo Chen’s expectation was not out of arrogance.
Up until now, his strength was formidable, with combat ability far surpassing that of the sa level, mostly relying on his own capabilities—external aids were not relied upon much.
To put it bluntly, Luo Chen never really had a very strong offensive weapon.
During the Qi Refinent Stage, his main fighting thods were techniques, as was the case at Foundation Establishnt. Though he owned many treasures in the Golden Core Period, there wasn’t an attacking magic item that suited him handy.
All these years, the Xuanhuo Sword was relatively compatible with him.
But the Xuanhuo Sword was crudely made, with a lower grade.
Whereas this blood sword, a true device that slayed a Divine Transformation Great Power, is absolute perfection among perfection, perhaps even having hope of advancing to the spiritual treasure level in the future.
Currently, Luo Chen’s realm was rely Nascent Soul, making the sword a fitting match; refining it wouldn’t result in embarrassing self-exploding situations like with the Refining Heaven Cauldron.
As for how to refine the blood sword spirit, Luo Chen already had so ideas.
The earlier hesitance began to fade, and his deanor beca increasingly resolute.
His divine consciousness spread, infiltrating the blood sword bit by bit.
Despite being enveloped by blood light, it could not deter Luo Chen’s persistence.
In the Primordial Chaos Tripod, Luo Chen was the master!
This sword, at best a lower order prisoner, how much resistance could it offer?
Soon, Luo Chen found a trace of spirit light.
"This is the blood sword spirit?"
Neither human nor beast, curling up, resembling a placenta, faintly oozing a stench.
Luo Chen frowned, failing to recall anything resembling this being from mory.
Demon Beasts? Demon Beasts? Or perhaps artificially created exotic beasts, or naturally spirit-communicating monsters?
Without pondering its origins, his divine consciousness began to explore around the spirit, attempting to find a suitable breakthrough opening.
As ti passed.
Gradually, Luo Chen spotted sothing peculiar on this unmoving spirit.
"There are three layers of seals in total!"
"One layer was already broken, with blood stains perating it, extrely corrosive. If I’m not mistaken, this should be the doing of Elder Xue Hai of Yuan Mo Sect, attempting to refine this sword, only to suffer severe backlash. Later, he even resided his lifelong Dao cultivation into this sword, until it was inherited by Blood Nightmare Mo Luo."
"Is the second layer of the seal with gaps from Blood Nightmare Mo Luo’s thod?"
"In that case, it might be possible to plant a soul seal onto the spirit through these gaps."
Luo Chen retracted his divine consciousness, showing a sudden realization on his face.
Earlier, Blood Nightmare Mo Luo must have harbored intentions to completely refine this sword but failed; the openings in those seals were the proof.
Can I manage it myself?
Luo Chen’s lips curled into a slight smile, already having made an assessnt in his heart.
