"That’s a coincidence, I happen to know of a few properties that are quite good, I can give the lady so suggestions."

After speaking, Song Dao saw that Sui Yi showed no intention of having him accompany her, and grasped this person’s mysterious and solitary nature, thinking she wouldn’t agree to have an unfamiliar man accompany her to buy a property.

So he proactively wrote down the locations of these properties and handed it to Sui Yi, then took his leave.

Sui Yi didn’t know the monetary value of Five Thousand Taels of Gold in this world, but she didn’t intend to ask Song Dao, as it might easily expose her confusion about this world. As for why she refused the recomnded properties, the astute and experienced though not old Song Dao must have thought of that too.

If Song Dao were to buy the property and give it to her directly, her whereabouts would be entirely in his grasp. Moreover, if anyone wanted to investigate, they could do so through Song Dao. It would be all too easy.

Although she wanted Natasha and others to easily find her, it didn’t an she wanted her whereabouts completely exposed to these people’s eyes.

After all, she had already beco "famous" when she was carried by the fish drifting in the water.

Sui Yi stayed in the small house for another three days.

During these days, neither Song Dao nor Fu Zhuo had co here; she seed to have lived a solitary life.

Three days later, Sui Yi sorted through her belongings, realizing she could only carry five gold banknotes and the Demon Que in the end.

Her original clothes had long been burned and damaged, and didn’t match the clothing customs of this world, so she naturally had to abandon them. She originally had nothing else, the phone once tucked in her coat pocket seed to have shattered from impact, and her watch seed to have been lost sowhere.

So Sui Yi was destined to travel light.

She contemplated the green robe prepared by Fu Zhuo; the material was coarse, seemingly made of hemp. The robe was quite large, with pockets hidden in the sleeves, similar to the inner pockets of garnts, presumably for carrying money as ancient people did.

However, the clothes didn’t suit her.

Sui Yi directly put the gold notes into the sleeve pockets, sorted out the small house, then pushed open the door. Suddenly, she heard so noise coming from the lake.

Turning her head, she saw a vast fleet of ships about a mile away sailing across the lake.

The grand scale of the fleet resembled the feeling of a thousand sails passing by a sunken ship’s side. The massive sailboats looked ancient yet majestic, matching Sui Yi’s understanding of the shipbuilding techniques of the Sui Dynasty.

"Such a massive fleet, it seems to be rchant ships; it seems the Grand Canal is already open."

Sui Yi knew that during the Sui Dynasty, Emperor Yang of Sui had successively excavated and dredged canals, allowing the Yellow River to flow into the Bian River, then from the Bian River into the Huai River through the Tongji Canal, from the Huai River into the Yangtze River through the Hangou Canal. From Jingkou (now Zhenjiang in Jiangsu) to Yuhang (now Hangzhou in Zhejiang) via the Jiangnan River, redirecting Qinshui southward to the Yellow River and northward to Zhuojun (now Beijing) through the Yongji Canal, connecting north and south, forming the historically famous Grand Canal.

The Grand Canal already ford a transportation scale. Emperor Yang spent six years excavating the Grand Canal; he reigned for fourteen years, and it should now be toward the end of Emperor Yang of Sui’s era.

Sui Yi glanced at the vast fleet, then turned and entered the Lin Zhong area, leaving.

Though Sui Yi was an expert in archaeology and familiar with a wealth of historical information, she had never seen the ancient world from a thousand years ago. Standing amid the prosperity of Yuhang City, she gleaned the charm from the packed pavilions and various people in ancient attire.

Unlike the modern society’s diverse and personalized fashion, the ancient clothing didn’t carry much individual preference. Generally speaking, most people’s clothes were quite similar, with ordinary folks wearing coarse linen and cloth, while those of better-off families wore silks and satins, and martial artists often wore practical tunics suitable for fighting.

Sui Yi glanced at a few swordsn carrying longswords, who seed to be looking at her as well.

She looked down at the Demon Que in her hand and remained noncommittal.

Using the notes Song Dao had given her about the properties and general circumstances, she chose a riverside pavilion without looking through each one. In the Sui Dynasty, there were already businesses specializing in the transfer of properties, and this establishnt was a rchant dealing in such second-hand property transfers within the city.

This was a teahouse.

Sui Yi, who ca with her sword, stated her purpose upon entering. A young servant, noticing Sui Yi seed unusual, quickly went upstairs calling for soone. Soon, a slightly wealthy middle-aged man ca down the stairs with two young, well-dressed individuals, seemingly also there to purchase property. They glanced at Sui Yi as they passed, and Sui Yi noted that their Inner Strength levels were around B-grade, with the man with the crown almost at the B-grade peak.

Both were quite young, just in their early twenties. Was the martial talent in this world so high?

Could this world be one where martial arts flourish?

Sui Yi felt puzzled but didn’t dwell on it, though her acute hearing caught the two whispering with concealed sound using Inner Strength several ters away after they had left the room.

"Senior brother, could this person be just like us...?"

"I don’t know, it seems possible, but I can’t tell which faction they belong to... On Lord Yuwen’s side..."

Upon hearing this, Sui Yi’s expression remained unchanged, only slightly narrowing her eyes, as she turned her face, and the proprietor, Mr. Cao, already ca forward to greet her. (To be continued.
