-Two Weeks Later-

Anastasia’s days blurred together in a relentless cycle of work, worry, and dedication.

Every day, she made the journey to visit Cobra, her heart heavy with concern yet determined to offer him solace.

The routine was exhausting, but Ana found solace in the video calls to Liam.

She drew strength from their conversations, finding comfort in his unwavering support.

She told her mother about Cobra being her other fate and it did not go very well.

Despite her mother’s disapproval of her bond with Cobra, Ana remained resolute in her decision.

She understood the risks but refused to let anyone dictate her heart’s desires.

Cobra’s condition remained unstable, his deanor alternating between monts of calm and bursts of aggression.

The staff’s struggles to manage his behavior only added to Ana’s burden.

She witnessed firsthand the toll it took on both Cobra and those trying to help him.

Her role as a diator between Cobra and the dical staff weighed heavily on her shoulders.

She was the bridge between two worlds, striving to maintain peace amidst the turmoil.

Anastasia’s exhaustion was palpable, yet she pressed on, driven by the hope of a brighter future with her two mates.

In monts of despair, Anastasia clung to the promise of happiness, a beacon guiding her through the darkness.

_______

As Anastasia prepared herself for her birthday party, her feelings were mixed.

She should have been overflowing with excitent and joy.

After all, the entire packhouse had worked tirelessly to create a night of lavish celebration honoring her 26th birthday.

The vast ballroom downstairs was now an opulent spectacle - adorned with sparkling lights, lush floral arrangents, towering crystal centerpieces, and servers poised to cater to every whim.

Yet Anastasia found herself distractedly peering into her dressing mirror with an unhappy frown tugging at the corners of her lips.

Her thoughts remained adrift, straying to those she wished could be present on this occasion...but weren’t.

Images of Cobra’s visage swam through her mind, reminding her of his continued struggle to master his impulses at the secure care facility.

And Liam... now kept so distant from her.

Visions of days long past with him at her side threatened to crack her composed mask.

She could practically feel the ghostly caress of his featherlight touch brushing an errant wisp of hair from her cheek as he’d done before with familiar tenderness.

Hear the low, rumbling timbre of his voice

Jolting back to the present mont, Anastasia smoothed the front of her exquisite dress and exhaled a steadying breath.

"Enter," she called out in a asured alto, watching through the mirror’s reflection as a liveried attendant slipped within.

"Apologies for the intrusion, alpha," the woman began with a deferential ducking of her head. "But everyone is waiting for your arrival. Shall I summon a Caleb to accompany you to the ballroom?"

Permitting a faint, wistful smile to crease her lips, Anastasia gave a regal shake of her head as she rose from her dressing table seat with enviable peace and grace.

"That won’t be necessary," she assured the attendant in a lodious alto laced with quiet self-assurance.

Anastasia turned on a sharp heel and swept from her chambers with an unmistakable aura of command and preternatural presence.

Each asured step along the hushed hallways and winding staircases carried her with regal bearing towards the ballroom and the awaiting festivities.

Yet even as she reached the towering doors, pausing montarily before they parted at so unseen prompting, Anastasia could not quite dispel the lingering remnants of sorrow and longing clouding the edges of her heart.

Anastasia reminded herself as she drew a fortifying breath into her lungs.

Tonight, she would command the very room itself as its radiant mistress.

Every pair of enthralled eyes would drink their fill of her magnetic presence, intoxicated not just by re beauty, but by the strength, authority, and otherworldly force of personality she exuded from her very core.

With that resolute fra of mind solidifying her bearing, Anastasia squared her shoulders and lifted her chin with regal poise as the grand doors yawned wide.

she stepped with consummate grace into the ballroom’s breathtaking spectacle.

From her flawless makeup and coiffed chestnut tresses to the sleek burgundy silk sheathing her lithe, statuesque form, Anastasia was the unquestioned vision of radiant aristocracy and effortless command.

A honed feature carved from the finest Atlantean marble gives supple, sensual life.

The very space around her seed to subtly bend and yield as she glided across the inlaid marble with the sa inexorable presence as the tides answering the moon’s thrall.

One by one, Anastasia’s willful regard passed over each mber of the assembled masses with unhurried, gilded consideration.

Here, a slight arching of brow and curl of her full carmine pout bestowed affirmation and fleeting favor upon a handful of trusted confidants.

With a burst of giggles, they took off running around the room, their laughter filling the air with joy as they chased each other in a whirlwind of youthful energy.

The room buzzed with the vibrant energy of camaraderie and friendship, a testant to the deep bonds shared within the pack.

Anastasia, adorned in her elegant dress, glided gracefully to the microphone, commanding the attention of the entire pack.

Conversations hushed as all eyes turned to their head alpha, awaiting her words.

With a gentle yet commanding presence, she began her speech, expressing heartfelt gratitude to each mber for attending her birthday celebration.

"As your head alpha," she began, her voice steady and full of warmth, "I am deeply grateful to see all of you gathered here today. Your presence is not just a celebration of my birthday, but a testant to the unity and strength of our pack."

Anastasia’s eyes swept across the assembled wolves, her gaze filled with pride and appreciation. "Each of you plays a vital role in our pack’s success," she continued.

"Your dedication, loyalty, and hard work do not go unnoticed. Whether it’s through hunting, protecting our territory, or nurturing our youngest mbers, your contributions make us stronger together."

She paused, allowing her words to sink in, before offering a sincere smile. "Together, we face challenges head-on and celebrate victories as one pack. We are a family, bound by a common purpose and unwavering support for each other."

Anastasia’s voice grew stronger, infused with determination. "Let us continue to communicate openly, to work together tirelessly, and to always uphold the values that define us as a pack. With unity and determination, there is nothing we cannot achieve."

She hates saying these speeches but she learned to get used to them since she doesn’t have much of a choice.

As she concluded her speech, Anastasia’s words were t with resounding applauses of agreent and support from the pack.

With a final nod of appreciation, she stepped back.

Anastasia delicately held a glass of wine in her hand, her thoughts montarily drifting as she savored the mont.

Suddenly, she felt a warm hand on hers, and she turned to see Xavier, Liam’a brother is here, greeting her with a hug.

"Xavier, it’s wonderful to see you," Anastasia exclaid, returning the embrace with a smile, her eyes not looking at him but around, internally yearning to see Liam around.

Xavier grinned, his eyes reflecting genuine affection. "Happy birthday, Anastasia," he said warmly. "I hope this day brings you all the joy and happiness you deserve."

As they parted, Xavier reached into his pocket and produced a beautifully wrapped gift.

"Liam insisted on giving you this," he explained, offering the present to Anastasia. "He couldn’t be here tonight, but he wanted you to know that he’s thinking of you."

Anastasia’s heart swelled with emotion as she accepted the gift, her fingers trembling slightly as she clutched the gift to her chest, overwheld by a mix of happiness for the gift and sadness because he was not here.

"Thank you, Xavier," she murmured, her voice thick with emotion. "Please convey my gratitude to Liam. His thoughtfulness ans the world to ."

With a bittersweet smile, Anastasia gently urged Xavier to enjoy the festivities.

"I’ll cherish this gift always," she assured him. "Now, go and have so fun."

____________

When the party was over, Anastasia retreated to her room, eager to unwrap the gift from Liam in solitude.

Carefully, she opened the box to reveal a necklace of profound beauty.

It featured a delicate gold chain holding a pendant unlike any other—a crescent moon cradling a shimring snowflake, each detail exquisitely crafted.

With a soft smile, she fastened the necklace around her neck, feeling its weight against her skin like a cherished secret.

As Anastasia stood on her balcony, the night sky stretched out before her like a vast canvas painted with a myriad of stars.

The moon cast its gentle glow, bathing the landscape in an ethereal light, while wisps of clouds drifted lazily across the indigo expanse.

Below, at the housepack gate, she caught glimpses of people departing after the festivities, their laughter and chatter gradually fading into the distance.

A pang of loneliness washed over her as she watched them go, realizing that none of her mates were by her side at that mont.

With each sip of wine, Anastasia felt the weight of solitude pressing down upon her, the quiet of the night amplifying the ache in her heart.

Lost in her thoughts, she scarcely noticed the world around her until a sudden presence behind her caused her to startle.

Turning, her eyes widened in surprise and disbelief. "Snow?" she murmured, her voice tinged with both uncertainty and hope.
