Takahashi, the apartnt manager, stood outside Yukino's door, banging incessantly.
"Open up. Yukino, open this door."

Inside, Yukino locked the door, fuming. "Hikari-kun already covered my overdue rent. I don't owe anything anymore."
Takahashi continued pounding on the door, shouting, "Sure, that kid covered two months' rent. But do you know rent accumulates interest every month you're late? It's written in the contract—10% interest per month."
"Two hundred thousand yen in total. Pay up, and I'll leave."
Ever since Hikari beat him up after he tried intimidating Yukino, Takahashi had been lying low.
But he couldn't get Yukino's alluring figure and beautiful face out of his mind. He was losing sleep, so he'd co up with a new excuse about unpaid interest to see her again today.
In his mind, he knew she was likely unable to pay such a large sum. If he could press his advantage, he might get lucky with her.
Yukino, on the other side of the door, shouted, "I've already cleared the rent. I'll pay the interest later."
Takahashi chuckled darkly. "Heh! Yukino, you probably don't have the money, do you? That kid was just trying to show off by helping you."
"And even if he could afford it, do you really think he'd keep covering for you?"
Yukino scolded him angrily, "Hikari-kun is a good person. He's nothing like you, you scumbag."
"He's not 'supporting' , he's just lending money. Now get lost."
Takahashi sneered, "Oh, so he only lent it, didn't give it outright? How stingy."
"Fine. I'm being generous here. Let in for so tea, and we can talk about the interest. Otherwise, I'll call soone to break down this door."
"You wouldn't dare." Yukino's anger flared as icy energy filled the air around her, almost slipping from her control.
Takahashi suddenly felt a freezing chill as he touched the door. Pulling his hand back, he muttered, "What the hell? Feels like frostbite. Must be my imagination…"
Just as he prepared to knock again, Yukino's resolve hardened. She rembered Hikari's advice: if Takahashi ever bothered her again, she should avoid opening the door and simply call him.
"Right. I'll call Hikari-kun."
Yukino pulled out her phone and dialed Hikari's number. Just as she hit the call button, a familiar voice ca from outside.
"You again, loitering around Yukino-san's door? Just what are you up to?"
Hearing that voice, Yukino's face lit up. She put her phone away, rushed to the door, and flung it open.
"Hikari-kun!!!"
Seeing his handso face, Yukino's joy was unmistakable as she called out happily.
