Ten: Focus the mind through perseverance, channeling a powerful aura. Ten elevates willpower.
Absolute: Eliminating one's own aura to avoid detection by enemies.
Ren: Focusing one's mind through Zetsu to unleash a powerful aura and elevate one's willpower.
Hatsu: The expression of one's refined willpower through Ren, allowing it to adapt to different circumstances. As the saying goes, "If I remain unmoved, the enemy will retreat."
The above four fundantal principles—Ten, Zetsu, Ren, and Hatsu—are collectively referred to as Nen. This frawork hones and strengthens the mind and is the foundation for all Nen-based combat techniques.
In other words, mastering these four principles is a journey of self-discipline and ntal fortitude. Advanced applications can be discussed later.
Morin explained this slowly and in detail. Uvogin and the others listened intently, committing every word to mory.
"Alright," Morin said. "Do you have any questions?"
"I do!" Machi raised her hand. "That cup of water with leaves you used this morning—was that part of training in Nen?"
"That was a way to determine your Nen type. Once you learn Nen, I'll have each of you undergo the sa test," Morin replied. "Any other questions?"
"I have one!" Uvogin shot his large hand into the air. "When can we start learning Nen?"
Nobunaga nodded in agreent, clearly interested in the sa thing.
"Whenever you're ready," Morin answered with a smile.
"I'm ready!" x2.
Uvogin and Nobunaga exclaid in unison like a synchronized act.
" too," Machi said, twirling a strand of her pink-purple hair.
"Uvogin and Nobunaga are fine, but Machi, I suggest you wait a bit," Morin said, looking directly at her.
Machi didn't speak but gazed calmly at Morin, waiting for an explanation.
"The sooner you start learning Nen, the better you can train and grow its strength. However, there's a condition." Morin explained, "It's that your body must be physically strong enough."
Nobunaga, at 17, and Uvogin, at 16, were close to adulthood and had the robust physiques to handle Nen training safely. Machi, however, was still developing.
"I recomnd building up your physical strength before starting Nen," Morin added.
"Is it absolutely necessary to wait until I'm stronger to learn Nen?" Machi asked, her steady gaze eting Morin's.
Morin shook his head. "Not necessarily—it's just my advice."
"I want to learn," Machi replied firmly, once again asserting her determination.
"Alright," Morin nodded. It was her decision, and he had no right to interfere further.
"To learn Nen, there are two thods," Morin explained. "The first is to train step-by-step with a qualified teacher. After every Hunter Exam, the successful candidates are taught Nen through the Shingen Ryu thod by licensed Nen instructors from the Hunter Association."
"Although I know a lot about Nen, I have no experience with the Shingen Ryu thod. So, you'll have to use the second thod: Nen Baptism—forcing the process of learning Nen."
Morin's voice grew serious. "I need to make this clear: while this thod doesn't leave any long-term effects, it's far riskier than learning through regular training. A single mistake could cost you your life."
"Really?" Uvogin grinned. "Perfect! If it weren't dangerous, I might not even bother."
Nobunaga nodded in agreent. "No problem—our lives are tough to take anyway."
"I'm not afraid of death," Machi said calmly.
"Alright." Seeing their determination, Morin continued, "Baptism cos in two forms. One is a reckless, high-risk thod commonly found at Heavens Arena, where fighters who reach the 200th floor are exposed to Nen attacks."
"Heavens Arena?" Uvogin and Nobunaga looked puzzled. Morin clarified, "It's a famous combat venue in the outside world, a paradise for martial arts enthusiasts. The higher the floor, the stronger the fighters."
"Sounds amazing!" Uvogin cracked his knuckles. "When I leave this place, I'll definitely fight my way to the top!"
Machi, uninterested in battle, remained silent, spinning her hair.
"The other thod involves soone experienced in Nen guiding you through the process by flooding your body with aura to open your aura nodes. I'll be using this thod."
"Smart choice," Nobunaga said. "No need to risk everything when there's a safer way."
"Who's going first?" Morin asked.
"!" Uvogin leapt forward, his enthusiasm barely contained. "I can't wait to gain this power!"
"Alright." Morin nodded, activating Ren to unleash a powerful surge of aura.
The overwhelming pressure stunned all three students, leaving them montarily speechless.
"This is Nen?" Uvogin murmured, eyes gleaming with resolve. "I have to master this power!"
Morin gave one last warning. "Even this gentler thod isn't without danger. If you fail to control the flow of aura after your nodes open, it could drain your life force to the point of death."
"I'll manage!" Uvogin said, pounding his chest. "Bring it on!"
Morin extended his aura-infused hand toward Uvogin's forehead. "Brace yourself."
Imdiately, he controlled his nen and unleashed it all toward Uvogin!
"This is—"
Uvogin's eyes widened in an instant.
He could feel waves of overwhelming power surging into his body.
Before he could worry about whether this foreign power would overwhelm him entirely—?
