Kurapika silently digested the information Hisoka had just shared with him. This truth revealed by Hisoka made Kurapika fully understand Morin's identity.

"Don't be in such a rush; I never said anything about cooperation~" Hisoka waved his hand. "How about a deal instead?"
"A deal?" Kurapika was puzzled.
"Yes, a deal." Hisoka nodded slightly. "About two or three years ago, I replaced the number 4, but not by killing him."
He dropped another bombshell: "He actually had thoughts of leaving the Phantom Troupe at that ti.
I wanted to join, he wanted out, so we struck a deal. He faked his death to escape, and I smoothly joined the troupe."
Hisoka explained.
"And what does this have to do with ?" Kurapika asked.
"Don't be impatient, just listen," Hisoka said, putting away his cards and resting his chin on his hand. "Just a few days ago, I discovered that the original number 4 had sneaked into Yorknew City with the troupe."
"And one of his Nen abilities is the ability to steal others' eyes. He has quite a collection of eyes, do you understand what I an?"
Hisoka's confident smile grew as he looked at Kurapika, whose pupils suddenly contracted.
Hisoka seed not to notice Kurapika's change in expression and continued smiling, "My real purpose in joining the troupe was to fight the leader, but I've never had the chance."
"He's very cautious, always having at least two people by his side."
"And every ti a mission ends, he disappears imdiately, making it impossible to find him."
Hisoka lightly pressed his lips together. "So I concluded... it's difficult for one person to achieve their goal, isn't it?"
Kurapika remained silent.

Omokage's presence in Yorknew City wasn't only known to Morin and Uvogin; Hisoka had his own ans of detecting it. And he wasn't wrong about what he said.
Omokage's Nen ability could indeed allow the puppets he created to steal others' eyes. In the movie version, Omokage even created a puppet of Pyro.
This implies that Omokage had encountered mbers of the Kurta Clan. So there's a significant possibility that he possesses Scarlet Eyes.
Although Hisoka truthfully told Kurapika that he couldn't guarantee Omokage had the Scarlet Eyes, as long as there was a glimr of hope, Kurapika wouldn't give up.
To retrieve the eyes of his clan, he was willing to collaborate with Hisoka, to ally with a devil.
And just as Hisoka and Kurapika reached an agreent...

"Right now, we have diamonds worth three million and a remaining balance of two hundred ten thousand, along with two hundred seventy-five thousand from arm wrestling."
"Altogether, we have about eight million!!" Leorio was tallying up their arm wrestling earnings.
"Although the haul isn't much, the arm wrestling was just bait, to lure out the underground rats."

He adjusted his small round glasses, a flash of intelligence and maturity unique to the underdog gleaming in his eyes.
Suddenly, there was a commotion at the back of the crowd. Two n in suits entered. One was short with a cunning smile, while the other was tall and muscular, his body brimming with bulging muscles.
"I'm in!" The burly man tugged at his collar and stepped forward.
"The fish has taken the bait..." Leorio's lips curled into a secretive smile.
"Gon, let handle this," Leorio suggested, wanting to switch places, but the short, shrewd guy next to him chuckled, "Little brother, I'm not trying to pick a fight, but aren't you out of your league here?"
"I know~" Leorio tossed another stack of bills onto the table. "Five million, plus diamonds. If you can beat , it's all yours. How about it?"
The tall, muscular man exchanged glances with the short, sharp fellow, and they both nodded.
"No problem!" The tall man sat down and locked wrists with Leorio.
Then~
Smack!!
In less than a second after starting, Leorio effortlessly crushed him!
It wasn't that the man's muscles were just for show; they were indeed impressive. But the physical prowess of an ordinary person and a Nen user are on completely different levels.
"Little brother, you're quite sothing, huh?" The short, shrewd guy wasn't enraged by his partner's defeat; instead, he seed slightly impressed.
He smiled and pulled out a card from his pocket, sketching sothing on it. "I like your style. If you have ti, drop by this place today."

Leorio accepted the card, which had a map drawn on it.
"The big fish has surfaced," Leorio smiled as he put it away. This was the real purpose behind his auction strategy.
When Gon and the others followed the map to the designated location, they found themselves in a bustling place, another underground auction venue where, if you had the money, you could bid on anything.
Be it antiques, information, weapons, treasures, etc., the place was always teeming with people, making it the perfect spot for gathering intel.
"Hey, Leorio, you said the arm wrestling bait was to catch a big fish, and it led us to this underground auction-like place?" Gon looked around, noticing a large stage in the center, surrounded by fierce-looking individuals.
"Yeah, this is where the underworld conducts illegal trades. Although each item varies in value, they all fetch astronomical prices.
I heard there's a nightly auction for fights, including arm wrestling, martial arts, boxing, and various betting matches, so I set my sights here."
Leorio handed over the card, and the group moved unimpeded to the nearby audience seats.
"I see, it's because this place is a mix of all sorts, making it easier to gather information?" Killua compared the strength of the other attendees, noting they were mostly just average fight enthusiasts.
There were few Nen users, suggesting it might be a lucrative path.

As the ti reached a certain point, the lights in the venue suddenly dimd.
"We apologize for the temporary suspension of the arm wrestling match. Up next is today's condition auction! The condition for this auction is hide and seek!"
An individual with an eye-catching, gender-ambiguous appearance shouted from the stage. As they spoke, people in black distributed photos.
"If you can find any of the eight individuals in these photos and bring them to us, the organizers, you'll receive a 20 billion Jenny check for each target captured!"
The crowd erupted in astonishnt.
"One person is worth 20 billion?!" Leorio, who had just arrived at the auction and was puzzled by the cancellation of the arm wrestling match, exclaid in shock.
Gon, who was eager to earn money for gas, quickly grabbed the photo, his eyes widening instantly.
"This is?!"
"What's wrong, Gon?" Killua noticed Gon's reaction and leaned over, also seeing the figure in the photo.
"Morin?!"
Killua was montarily stunned but quickly suppressed his shock, keeping his composure.
