If Ging were to join the Chira Ant Extermination Squad, the outco would undoubtedly be different.
"Are you going to check it out too?" Ging glanced at Morin.
"Of course. To ensure Netero can follow us to the Dark Continent without issues, Morin wouldn't let Netero fall at the hands of the Ant King. Going along is a must..."
"Let's not discuss those ants for now?"
At this mont, Ickshonpe, who had been silent, suddenly raised a whiteboard card in his hand.
"Currently, there's soone more threatening than the ants on the Sixth Continent."
He enlarged a screen display in front of the group.
"Do you know this guy nad Jed?"
A dark attire, deep green eyes, an eerily pale face, and striking silver hair? The screen showed just such a character.
"Jed? I feel like I've heard that na sowhere~" Ging pondered, "Seems like soone from a long ti ago."
"Yes, he was soone from the sa era as Chairman Netero," Morin said softly, looking at the figure on the screen.
Jed, once one of the two pillars of the Hunter Association alongside Netero, appeared in the movie "The Last Mission" as a formidable opponent on the sa level as Netero. At that ti, the Hunter Association had two organizations: the formal staff and the "Shadow" organization, also known as the Black Shadow or Dark Shadow. Netero led the official side, while Jed was the leader of the organization in the shadows.
Later, as the "Shadow" organization began killing more people, so with significant status, they attracted suspicion from the V5, prompting the Hunter Association to eliminate the "Shadow" organization. Under Netero's leadership, the Hunter Association, along with the law enforcent team, eradicated Jed's "Shadow" organization, and Netero defeated Jed.
It was thought to be the end, but soone in the Hunter Association, eager to please the V5, privately ordered the law enforcent team to target the descendants of the "Shadow" organization mbers, attempting to wipe out innocent families. After a bloody massacre, only a few children escaped. Seeking revenge, they carried the resentnt of their entire clan to the place where Jed was buried.
There, Jed, once defeated by Netero, used this resentnt to communicate with a demon, selling his soul to be resurrected and return to his pri. He also gained a powerful force, "Resentnt," opposing Nen.
It seems that before investigating the Chira Ants, Ging and the others have other matters to attend to. The power of "Resentnt" is wielded by those with a determination to die, making it the perfect representation of extremism.
Jed is nearly revived by now, and it's about ti he heads to the Heavens Arena to stir up trouble. After all, the biennial Olympia Martial Arts Tournant is about to comnce. This event is a grand affair for martial arts enthusiasts worldwide, even attracting casual viewers.
Recently, Wing contacted Morin, announcing that Zushi had successfully beco a floor master and would participate in the Olympia Martial Arts Tournant. The floors from 220 to 250 in the Heavens Arena are each owned by a floor master, and these thirty masters can participate in the tournant. The winner can reside on the top floor, the 251st floor.
Speaking of which, even soone of Zushi's caliber can beco a floor master... Morin rembers when Wing first explained the concept of Nen to Zushi in 1998, just two years ago. It's clear what level the floor masters participating in this tournant are at.
No wonder Jed easily wiped out a group of thirty in the rest area at the start. Wing wants his senior and master Biscuit to observe the achievents of his disciple. Although Zushi can't compare to Morin's disciple Kastro, he is at least a representative figure in the martial arts world. And given Zushi's young age, there's still great potential to be tapped. In the future, he might beco another star of the Shingen-ryu!
"Looks like there's sothing to do before investigating the Chira Ants. The Olympia Martial Arts Tournant is held in April, during the pleasantly comfortable spring season, the season of hormones..."
At that ti, Gon and Killua had just t Kite. anwhile, at the southern tip of the Balusa Archipelago on the Yorbian Continent, the Chira Ant Queen was washed ashore by the waves.
Gon and Killua assisted Kite's team in completing their final biological survey, coinciding with the expiration of Kite's contract with the Kakin Kingdom in April. It was during this period that Gon and Killua took the opportunity to visit the Heavens Arena to cheer for Zushi, before regrouping with Kite and his team.
Around that ti, Kite learned from Kakin officials that parts of an unregistered creature had been sent to NGL, where they saw the Queen's body. Coincidentally, the Queen had just consud humans to hatch her first batch of worker ants.
Upon seeing the unregistered species' remains in NGL, Gon, Killua, and Kite's team began an investigation, confirming that the remains likely belonged to Chira Ants. Kite then led Gon and Killua to NGL, marking the beginning of the Chira Ant investigation, which is the origin and cause of the Ant Arc.
First Jed, then the Chira Ants—this world is truly tumultuous, with events happening one after another at a dizzying pace~~~
Morin thought as his phone vibrated in his pocket.
"Hey, hey, hey, is that you, Morin?!" ca Uvogin's signature loud voice from the other end.
"What is it?!" Morin said, pulling the phone away and scratching his ear.
"Heh, the Heavens Arena is about to host the Olympia Martial Arts Tournant, and Nobunaga and I want to go check it out!!" Uvogin said with a grin.
Check it out? A nostalgic visit?! You guys probably have ulterior motives, right? Morin could guess without asking. After all, Uvogin and Nobunaga had previously caused quite a stir at the Heavens Arena, and the Arena wasn't one to let things slide. They had been pursued by the Arena's forces afterward.
Looks like they want to reclaim their honor during this tournant?
"So, why call ? You two can go by yourselves," Morin asked.
"Well, we're worried that if we get too carried away and can't escape in ti..." Uvogin said casually. "Especially since we heard that Chairman Netero of the Hunter Association will be attending this tournant."
"If that old guy makes a move, things could get tricky," Nobunaga chid in.
"So we wanted to borrow so of your gadgets. Do you have anything that can help us make a quick and safe getaway?"
Ah, so they called just to borrow so gadgets???
"Gadgets are no problem, but I doubt you'll need them," Morin said casually. "Because I've also been invited to this tournant and plan to attend."
"Huh?!" The voice on the other end rose several octaves. "Morin, you're coming too?!"
"Hahaha! That's fantastic!!" Uvogin exclaid excitedly. "With you there, there's no need to worry about that Hunter Association Chairman Netero at all!!"
"Looks like we can really cause a ruckus at this tournant!!"
"Let's settle it then. On the day of the tournant, we'll et up at the Heavens Arena!!"
With that, Uvogin hung up in a hurry, eager to prepare.
Hmm, he didn't even ask why Morin was going. He just knew that if Morin was there, all troubles and difficulties would be easily resolved. They could enjoy themselves to the fullest without any worries, even with Chairman Netero of the Hunter Association present!
"This guy..." Morin looked at the disconnected phone and couldn't help but shake his head.
"Looks like you have quite the reputation among your companions," Ging remarked, nodding. "At least in terms of reliability, you're soone people can trust."
"With so many amazing gadgets and outstanding skills, having you around ans no worries," Ging teased. "You're the kind of companion many people dream of having!"
"I'll take your complint, but..." Morin glanced at him sideways, "aren't you just talking about yourself?!"
"Hahaha, a bit of both!" Ging laughed, waving his hand, looking quite pleased with himself. After all, Morin's reliability in the Phantom Troupe was quite similar to Ging's in his own team. Although many people would curse Ging as a jerk, they couldn't deny that there was no more reliable companion than Ging for them.
"Want to co with to the Heavens Arena?"
