Glorfindel was tall and slender, with features so handso they seed carved from living light. His hair was a cascade of pure gold, his eyes bright and keen, and his voice was as lodious as music. He radiated an aura of profound wisdom and noble grace, more like an Elven sage than a warrior. As a High Elf born in the Years of the Two Trees, having bathed in their sacred light, he exuded a holy radiance, like an angel walking among mortals.

He lived in seclusion in Rivendell, rarely appearing to greet guests, preferring the quiet solitude of the library or his own chambers. Now, hearing that his long-lost dagger had resurfaced, this legendary Elf made a rare appearance.

"Elrond."

"Mithrandir. It has been a long ti."

Glorfindel greeted Elrond and Gandalf, his voice a pleasant, musical chi.

"Glorfindel, my friend," Gandalf replied warmly, clearly well-acquainted with the Lord of the Golden Flower. "Your radiance is as bright as ever."

Everyone, even the boisterous dwarves, fell silent, awestruck by the presence of the reborn Elf. Kael, too, looked on with admiration. Glorfindel was not ntioned often in the old tales, but after his glorious death and subsequent rebirth, his power was said to be equivalent to that of a Maiar, making him arguably one of the most powerful Elves remaining in Middle-earth. If he were not bound by the sa restrictions as Gandalf—forbidden from using his full might and tasked only with aiding the free peoples—Sauron's reign of terror might have ended long ago.

After exchanging pleasantries, Glorfindel's gaze fell upon Bilbo, or more specifically, upon the dagger in the hobbit's hand.

"May I see it?"

"Uh… of course!" Bilbo stamred, awkwardly handing over the blade.

Glorfindel took it, his eyes filled with a deep, sorrowful mory. "I once thought it lost to the abyss with the Balrog. I never imagined I would see it again."

Seeing the hobbit's uneasy expression, a faint smile touched the Elf's lips. To Bilbo's surprise, he returned the dagger.

"I lost this blade countless years ago. For you to find it now ans it is destined for you. May it serve you well."

"Thank you," Bilbo breathed, a wave of relief washing over him. He had been certain the dagger would be returned to its original master. It had been a gift from Kael, and he had not wanted to part with it.

Glorfindel did not linger. After seeing his forr weapon, he bid farewell and departed. Bilbo, however, suddenly found himself the center of attention. Everyone stared at the dagger in his hand, a blade that had slain a Balrog and once belonged to the fad Lord of the Golden Flower. The envy in the room was palpable.

Kael was happy for Bilbo, but what made him even happier was the familiar chi in his mind.

Hogwarts Sign-in System: Location Rivendell. Do you wish to sign in?

Sign in, Kael commanded silently, his expression unchanged.

Sign-in successful. Congratulations on obtaining the first edition of 'The Book of Spells'!

A thick, ancient-looking spellbook materialized before his eyes, visible only to him. The Book of Spells was the work of Miranda Goshawk, author of the Standard Book of Spells series used at Hogwarts. This, however, was its predecessor, a true encyclopedia of magic, containing not only every spell available on the market but also a number of curses.

The Ministry of Magic had suppressed its initial release, deeming many of the spells too dangerous for public knowledge. At their request, all curses and the most powerful offensive spells were removed, eventually leading to the creation of the more sanitized Standard Book of Spells.

Kael had often felt constrained in battle, his repertoire consisting mostly of defensive magic. Now, with this book, a whole new world of possibilities had opened up. It was a godsend. If not for the feast, he would have imdiately found a quiet corner to begin his studies.

anwhile, the dwarves, having consud a considerable amount of Elven wine, were revealing their true nature. Finding the soothing Elven music too much like a funeral dirge, Bofur leaped onto the table and began to belt out a bawdy dwarven drinking song. The others cheered him on, banging utensils on the table and even starting a food fight. Their wild, chaotic behavior left the surrounding Elves looking on in dismay.

At the head table, Elrond's brow furrowed slightly, though his impeccable manners prevented him from saying anything. Gandalf, however, who had just been praising the dwarves as noble and well-mannered descendants of Durin, looked as if he wished the ground would swallow him whole. Kael, too, was speechless, wishing only for the feast to end so he could dive into his new book.

After the banquet, Gandalf and Elrond departed to discuss serious matters. The dwarves, roaring drunk, remained in the hall, entertaining themselves. Bilbo, ever curious, set off to explore the wonders of Rivendell.

Kael found a quiet, secluded terrace. To any observer, he was simply relaxing, but his full attention was on the spellbook floating before him. It contained countless spells, from advanced magic like the Patronus Charm and the Undetectable Extension Charm to a host of practical, everyday incantations. But Kael's interest lay in the forbidden sections—the offensive spells and curses removed by the Ministry.

There was the Blasting Curse, a spell with the force of a powerful explosive, used by Peter Pettigrew to devastate an entire street. There were hexes that could conjure sandstorms, severing charms, and arrow-shooting spells, all potent weapons. The curses ranged from minor annoyances like the Stinging Hex to more sinister spells like the Entrail-Expelling Curse—dark magic that, if used creatively, could have devastating effects.

He first turned to a spell that had long fascinated him: the Patronus Charm. Its incantation, Expecto Patronum, summoned a corporeal animal guardian capable of combating dark creatures like Dentors. While there were no Dentors in Middle-earth, there were other dark beings—the wights of the Barrow-downs, the Nazgûl. Dark creatures were vulnerable to powerful white magic. If he could master the Patronus Charm, he knew it would be a formidable weapon in the battles to co.
