And every cell in her body refused nothing, accepting the modification from the Honkai energy in its entirety.

The most direct change was in Irene's eyes. Her originally azure blue eyes turned blood-red as if congested. Within those eyes, a white cross slowly constructed itself in her pupils.

At the sa ti, a pitch-black mist, so dense it couldn't be dissolved, spewed out from Irene's entire body. It spread rapidly, dyeing the space around her in profound darkness.
