Now reading: Chapter 116: His King from In This Rebirth, The Male Lead Is Mine [BL], a Yaoi novel by ladyaize.

Rise did not know if Kamille only played along or if he truly understood his implications, that he was serious. Well, it was highly likely that Kamille did.

He felt like his lips were about to tear from smiling too much, with occasional giggles coming out of his lips. As usual, he was clinging to Kamille’s arm as they strode the sowhat familiar path, leading to a cave or maybe the entrance of a gate.

Kamille also would give him a glance but would only smile helplessly, but it could be noticed by his actions that he quite likes watching Rise’s obvious good mood.

"How did you manage to calm them down, Guild Leader?" Rise chose to ask more while they were on the way to the eting point.

He rembered that Kamille almost went on a rampage when he beca unconscious and that even though he did not witness it himself, he already had a hunch that the scene must not have been a good experience for the Lionheart Clan. The extre side of Kamille, well, was not soone capable of talking normally, after all, much less listening to others.

"They don’t have a choice," Kamille answered succinctly.

That was basically it. As Zarilan and the elders spoke of, they were already at the ends of their ropes, and they saw Rise as their only hope, or at least the one that held that only hope, and even though they had unpleasant encounters, they did not fervently seek Kamille’s responsibility for it.

They also had their share of the fault, which they acknowledge themselves and add to the fact that Kamille did not kill anyone. He might have attempted to kill them, but at the end of the day, none were killed.

"Are you in a cooperative relationship already?" Based on what was happening when he was asleep, it seed to be so.

Kamille nodded. "Since from the beginning."

Rise chuckled at those clear and concise answers. He knew that if not for him and his so-called mission, Kamille would not easily return to that cooperative relationship. His impression of the Lionheart Clan must have fallen so low that he did not trust them much anymore.

Well, well, the Lionheart Clan would have a lot of work to do. It would be hard to earn his Guild Leader’s trust!

He tightly embraced Kamille’s arm and lifted his gaze; once Kamille had already glanced at him, he gave a playful wink.

"Villains need henchn."

They were back at that, and honestly, Rise was enjoying this. It was also clear by the way Kamille had this helpless yet playful smile when he heard this.

Rise embraced his role quite well; the author should be proud, right?

He laughed as his malicious intentions filled his mind. Hitting soone on the highest pedestal was great, but screwing your creator... It would be epic.

When Kamille saw that evil yet amusing smile appear on Rise’s lips, he beca intrigued yet again to know what he was thinking at that mont.

In the end, he could only shake his head; he turned his head ahead, and his gaze flickered with so much anticipation. He knew that being with Rise would be interesting, but he never thought it would be this much. And... being a villain, huh?

Kamille’s lips hooked, his eyes flickered with a crimson hue, and excitent lingered on him.

Of course, Rise did not notice though since he was also in the mode of another cursing fit for the author.

It did not take too long, and they arrived at their destination. The place was quite different from where the magic circle was activated; Rise assud it was in the other direction, although he could not tell the difference from the path alone.

When they arrived, Rise saw that everyone was present and waiting for them. He even noticed a few fresh faces, which were not part of the magic circle activated a week ago.

Rows of high chairs were neatly organized, encircling a small podium at the center; there was also a throne placed on there. Rise initially assud it was for the current clan leader’s throne; however, when he noticed Zenos sitting in one of the high chairs below, he imdiately dismissed it.

It was still dimd, with the only illumination coming from the light lamp in the wall. Rise even had an absurd thought; this eting was like a cult gathering as they waited for him... the cult leader.

Wait, that seed not too farfetched, huh?

He was only snapped out of his thoughts when Kamille nudged him slightly. Rise found that everyone was already standing and looking at him.

His first thought was... so what? Rise would not be easily embarrassed by that. He confidently approached the crowd, clinging so tightly to his Guild Leader, a level higher of shalessness.

"Everyone is here?" Rise asked as soon as they stood at the center. He did not ask anyone specifically, but soone took the initiative to ask.

Obviously, it was Zarilan. He was standing in front, facing the throne; his status was clear as day, even a level higher than the current clan leader, Zenos.

"Yes," Zarilan responded, his voice low and respectful. He also turned to the woman beside him as he introduced her. "This is the current prophet of the Silverfeather Clan."

Rise’s brow shot up as soon as he heard this. He looked at the woman, who only looked like a teenager at most, but Zarilan appeared to respect her.

Kamille did the sa but was not as interested as Rise.

"Are you Halwyn Silverfeather?" Rise directly asked; since everyone here would be privy to so details, he did not hide so things that he knew.

In fact, it would even have another effect. Sure enough, while everyone was surprised, they seed to expect this at so point.

Kamille did not look particularly surprised, nor did the woman herself. The forr had seen similar scenarios, while the latter seed to know more than the surface.

She smiled amiably and slightly bowed with the nobility that a seer seed to typically have. "As expected of Mr. Rise, you know who I am."

Rise did not look impressed; he only wore a curious glance. "You look younger."

Oh, snap. Rise realized he was looking so much; he imdiately looked at his Guild Leader, but soon sighed with relief. Kamille seed not to mind this ti.

Kamille noticed his gaze and almost touched the space between his brows. What did Rise take him for? Always getting jealous of anyone?

That was... indeed the case lately. Kamille now began to fall silent, reflecting on himself and who he had beco after eting Rise.

Of course, Rise already did not notice since he already returned his attention to the young prophet.

Halwyn laughed at that before giving a aningful smile to Rise.

"I won’t be, five years from now."

This ti, Rise was the one stunned. Only for a mont though, before he too wore a aningful smile.

"Right, you won’t be," he agreed.

He t Halwyn before, and certainly, she did not look like she was now. Her wrinkles and white hairs were prominent then; Rise did not even recognize Halwyn now and only guessed since he only knew her as the current prophet of the Silverfeather clan.

The two’s exchange carried vague but sohow amazing details. It was as though both prophets had t each other, earning admiration but also interesting looks from others.

Kamille, too, had a slight crease on his brows as he looked at each other; his gaze had a thoughtful look on them.

Five years... His mind began to spin.

anwhile, the exchange between Rise and the prophet had ended with that. Rise knew the knowledge Halwyn had was limited, and so he did not pursue too much.

He was impressed this ti; she was truly amazing. Although he already knew that even in the past. Her prediction had co true after all.

Rise turned to Zarilan and then to Zenos beside him. "Shall we begin?"

Zarilan swallowed slightly, looking at his son and the elders, then at Halwyn before he returned his gaze to the two at the center and finally just at Rise.

"Please, do." Zarilan, with so hesitation and other lingering emotions, lowered himself and bowed.

This was the hope that their world needed. Zarilan wanted to at least have that hope, rather than... wait for death.

Initially, there was a throne on the podium, which was possibly intended for Rise to sit on. However, of course, his king was with him. Kamille sat on the throne, and as for himself... He sat on his king’s lap... kidding.

Rise was in his serious mode, so even if he wanted to do that, he held himself back. At least he wanted to give a presentable image since everyone was already his henchn.

Although his position seed not that presentable either and not much worse than sitting on Kamille’s lap directly.

Rise sat at the right armrest of the throne, his legs resting on Kamille’s lap, with the other wrapping his arms around his waist, likely supporting him. His arm rested on Kamille’s shoulder, feeling comfortable in this position.

Kamille did not even complain and let him, so who cares what the others think?

He looked down at the others as he smiled sweetly, enjoying their gazes, which had a variety of emotions in them. Rise’s smile only widened, extrely satisfied.
