"Are you wondering why no one knew?"
Rise smiled as he rembered the surprise that flashed across Kamille’s face when he found out about it earlier.
He already took the initiative to reveal about it instead of making Kamille waste his ti asking the question.
"It’s not really an important matter." Rise casually dismissed this matter as not important, if the dia knew they would probably have a field day unable to fall asleep.
Rise was not ungrateful for things that his adoptive father did; it was that things like familial affection were sothing hard for him. He was abandoned by even his own parents, and he had long since closed off his heart for it.
For a long ti, he only saw their relationship as a responsibility, nothing else. His adoptive father as a father and a guardian, and Rise as his adopted son.
"Do you think I’ll beco more famous if this gets out, Guild Leader?" Rise laughed and brushed it off as such. "And that will be more troubleso."
If it gets revealed, so be it, but it would not be from his mouth.
"Anyway," Rise quickly changed the topic away from his old man and now beca slightly serious. He looked straight to his Guild Leader, not wanting to miss any change of expressions, if ever Kamille did.
"...Guild Leader, is there sothing wrong? Why did you left?" Rise asked straight to the point. He was not one to hesitate about these things.
He wanted to make sure that both of their issues would be nipped in the bud, in case a misunderstanding ready to explode later on was created without him knowing.
"Is it because of the guiding session?" That was the pri suspect that he could think of.
Rise knew of Kamille’s possessiveness and the desire that both of them had, not thinking it was botherso at all.
He had not heard an answer, but instead, he was engulfed in a warm embrace. It was a bit tight, but Rise only succumbed to it, responding to an equally tight embrace.
"Guild Leader?" Rise called, brushing his face on the other’s chest. Feeling so comfortable with the warmth Kamille gave off.
"I’m more unreasonable than I thought." Kamille breathed Rise’s scent, closing his eyes for a mont.
"You’re not." Rise shook his head. "Even if you are, you’re still not."
At this, Kamille could not help but give a low chuckle, sohow expecting this from Rise.
"You sure have double standards when it cos to ." Kamille did acknowledge this point.
This ti, Rise burst out laughing, burying his face against Kamille’s chest, his chest vibrating.
"It’s good that you know, Guild Leader." Rise did not deny that. It was so obvious as well.
Kamille smiled. "Should I feel grateful for it?"
Rise withdrew slightly and looked up, smiling. "Should you?"
Kamille stared at him, and the smile on his lips widened and he nodded.
"I am."
Rise giggled at that.
They were good. Extrely so.
"Guild Leader, even if soone guided , I don’t feel anything. So, just wait for at the side, and I’ll do the sa to you." He spoke calmly, staring deeply into Kamille’s eyes. "I feel anxious when... I can’t find you."
Kamille looked at him, and slowly, he reached out to touch Rise’s cheek. After a mont, he nodded.
"Let’s do that."
Between compromising Rise’s identity as a Guide and his own possessive desire and jealousy, he could try to keep the latter in check more.
They did not have a deep discussion about that, and there was no need to. After embracing for a while at that corner, they decided to return to the ground floor where they left the others.
It was now ti to return and check on the Guild.
As for Rise, it was ti to organize so things.
More than that...
"I wonder what Riri is doing now." Rise rembered the cute little monster they left behind. "I hope he’s fine."
Rise had fond feelings for cute monsters, which was evident in how he treated his pet, although calling it cute was a bit... strange. Since it was Rise, that made sense slightly.
Kamille also thought of the child at ho.
"He’s safe." Eubin was there, and it was the headquarters. Also, Riri did not call them using the artifact; things must be fine.
"Still, let’s hurry ho, guild Leader!"
Kamille turned to him, tightening their interlocked fingers.
With a softened gaze, he nodded.
"Let’s go ho."
Ho. That word exists now in his once colorless world.

"Finally!" Hayes almost kissed the ground of the building when they landed at the roof of the headquarters. He never though he would feel this way.
Of all the gates they encountered, the special gate or the otherworld was the most stressful one. The others felt the sa way.
Rise looked at them with disdain, moving away from them in case he was infected by their stupidity.
Without waiting for them, Kamille and Rise already walked forward, leaving them behind. Just as they were about to leave the door of the rooftop, soone already collided and bumped into them.
The two paused and looked down.
A little one was already embracing their legs, welcoming them.
"We, welco ho." His voice, which still sounded timid, carried a warm tone.
Rise and Kamille shared a glance, and their expressions softened visibly.
"Aww, our Riri, we missed you!" Rise squatted before Riri so they could face each other. While Kamille stroked Riri’s glossy black hair.
Looking at him, Rise could not help but reach out and pinch those cheeks.
"Wow, our Riri is so plump now! You’re eating good, huh?" Rise teased, smiling as he saw how Riri’s face turned crimson.
"I-I’m not fat," Riri pouted, but he was blushing.
"Is the food good?" Rise did not even agree with Riri and instead asked this.
Riri bit his lips, hesitating to answer, but as his cheeks were now plumper than the last ti they saw each other, it was obvious that he was eating well!
Slowly, he nodded his head.
"I... I love human foods." Riri looked up and glanced at Kamille shyly before returning to Rise with his round eyes and plump cheeks. "Is that not good?"
